I still think how they filmed this and the Peace Sells video was about as good as you could make a video represent these types of songs back then, and quite honestly, the film quality seems pretty DAMN good even today, especially considering that Megadeth was an up and coming metal band at that period of time...I mean, just think of how BAD it COULD have been compared to this!

I tried writing a song, first song and added six solos with a short bass solo.
I like the first solo in particular. I'll never forget the first time I heard it. The initial pinch-harmonic whammy bar dive just instantly melted me into another plane of existence - a new reality where the molten-hot guitar playing energy of Megadeth suddenly takes over and demands your full attention.
R.I.P Gar Samuelson. One of the greatest, technically brilliant metal drummers ever. His fills, grooves and just straight ahead drum beats helped propel this band to greatness. Their first 2 albums were instant classics. What an era of music!!!

There's actually an interview with Dave where he talks about the making of this video. Apparently, Chris and Gar had friends who brought a massive amount of cocaine to the shoot. His exact quote was "No one could even speak they were so high on blow toward the end of that night." Ah, the 80's.

When I wss a teen, both Metallica and Megadeth were at the top of my listening pile.
Now as a man pushing his 50's, I tend ro rank Megadeth just a little higher on the riffs alone, and it makes me realize who really was the driving force behind early Metallica.

Why does no one mention how badass the solos are? The first two solos are what you call "face melting" quality solos, I love how he uses the pinch harmonic whammy bar on the first one. Just instantly melts you into another realm, simply phenomenal.

One of the greatest all time from Dave Mustane.He did the right thing leaving Metallica for this!!! I wore out these cassette tapes:) My brother was playing this stuff on guitar at that time. Awsome era!!!
