Outstanding sir! I rarely comment on UA-cam but this looks fantastic. It's inspired me to finish mine which has been on hold for no good reason, other than exactly what you said about other things that needed doing.
Your first 30 seconds encompassed me to the whole .I laughed out loud when I heard those words.. my wife knows I am never done with our Bar Lounge...Props son!!
Best feature: a place for the booze people bring. I designed my basement like a pub. No one brings booze to a pub. Everyone brings booze to a friend with a home pub. I was spending energy thinking about what a Tavern would have, like a box of hooks with keys to rooms like, "The fold out couch #1." and T"he fold our couch #2 ,"and "The couch in the pool room," and "The benches in the pool room." And, or course, "Floor." But, what I don't have, and actually need, is a place for the booze people bring. Brilliant!
This is such a beautiful home bar. I dream of having something like this one day in my room/home. If you have any tutorials on how to build this, it’d be nice!
you prolly dont give a shit but does anybody know a method to get back into an Instagram account..? I was stupid lost my account password. I love any tips you can give me!
@Desmond Simon thanks so much for your reply. I got to the site thru google and I'm trying it out now. Takes a while so I will get back to you later when my account password hopefully is recovered.
now that is a BAR!!!! I have started making my own "homebar ", but it will probably only have less than 10 bottles. Also I live in an apartment building so I can't go that hardcore with things
That is a serious bar that literally rivals your average family owned restaurant bar. Blows away your run of the mill run down dive bar. You must have to drink a lot of alcohol or have happy hours every weekend just to keep up with the expiration dates of your alcohol, hahaha!
It is beautiful I am also planning to get one done at my place. May i ask you for yeh dimensions please, like what’s the distance between the bar and the sofa from outside and what’s the distance from bar cabinets to the bar stools inside, does it offer enough space to move around for the host if people are sitting in on the inside of the bar area what’s the width of the counter top. What’s the dimension of the bar cabinets and shelves like how deep they are? Thank you in advance
Bar to Sofa is currently 4 feet. 30" from bar cabinets to inside bar stools (when they are tucked in) 16" if someone is sitting in it. I can walk by people while they are seated there no problem. Counter top is 29" for the length and 18" for the short part.Bar Cabinets are 14" from wall. Shelves are 8" deep. If I could rebuild it I would have gone 12" deep (three bottles deep instead of 2) I also would have liked a deeper cabinet depth but it would have pushed the bar into the walking area from the side door. You must post some pictures when you build. I like the Reddit site r/Barbattlestations for ideas.
@@wedowhiskeythings710 ❤️ Thank you so much This does make my life a bit simple since i had been spending ton of time thinking about the space management, we have exact same set for bar and sofa and we have 8ft distance from the wall to the Sofa, hopefully this should sufficient Can i ask you one more quick question … when the bas stools are inside then how much visible they are outside of the countertop like 2inches may be?
Going to build a bar in my finished basement, but I don't have the kind of money it'll take to build it like yours. I am confused by the seating on the service side of the bar though. I guess you could always sit back there and serve up drinks?
John Hilman since it is in the middle of the house we use the bar for more than just partying. We fold laundry, play games and eat behind the bar. Plus it’s the best place to sit while having a huge pile of nachos. Home bar has to be more practical than a commercial one.
Henn Henn Bro Only a few have made it through. Most of the bar is now donations so it’s random. The only consistent thing is bourbon. It was all easy to build minus the curved part. So get cracking.
Man, I gotta buy a house so I can build myself an epic home bar like yours! Also, since noone seems to have answered... The name comes from the grumpy old guys on the balcony from the Muppet show!
I started with a cad drawing and soon abandoned it. Instead just went with the flow and took my time deciding on the size of each box. I wish I would have gone three bottles deep instead of two. I was overwhelmed with the generosity of neighbors and friends donating bottles. Have fun with the details and take your time.
@@wedowhiskeythings710 I ment so I could get a really nice paying job and have a nice house and be able to afford to do cool projects like this. That's really cool man love the bar!
I know right. I keep trying to get better friends. But people just show up with random stuff. It has become a lost and found that has to be purged regularly.
You are a legend and a true alcoholic sir
and you are a sad man
Thank you. But if I was an alcoholic the bottles would be empty. Plus I only drink when I have company over and even then two max.

How much of your own alcohol do you go through during a party?
70% of the bottles are donated anyway but 3 or 4 bottles with a small party. 14 people ish. 12 bottles on New Year’s Eve. 40-50 people.

Very nice love it a lot very inspiring. Price estimate on the build of bar itself not including the drinks?
About 12,000. Saved on labor by doing everything but the tile floor. I'll add a breakdown in the notes.
What's the width of the standing space? 1m? 1.5m?
J L . Just shy of 1 meter at 33 inches
