5 Things to think about when building a home bar

- We installed a bar in the former garage of our house. Here are some of the key factors which helped us get there. And also some mistakes we made along the way. I hope this is useful if you are thinking of doing the same thing
The Heineken Blade machine holds 14 pint kegs. Yes, they need pre-chilling, but so do your beer bottles in the fridge! You can also buy branded schooner (2/3 pint) glasses, so it's good for about 21 schooners.
The machine costs a few quid, but 100% worthwhile if you like Heineken, Tiger, or Moretti. Plenty of other beers and ciders to choose from, but I'm not adventurous enough to try them 😂

No brass rail to rest a foot on.. It's a nice mixing counter you have but not a bar.

Where did you get you bar backsplash ?
I think you're talking about the glitter effect on the back wall. We had to do that twice. The first attempt was a "glitter wallpaper" from a local trade depot. It looked ok on the roll but when we installed it the effect was lost. It had been inexpensive but didn't work. We went for a specialist wallpaper that is actually more like a fabric with sequins on it. This was expensive and needed a specialist fitter also. That back wall cost about £450 in the end. A heck of a lot of money but it'll be there for years. It's lit by strip led's embedded in the shelves. Good point. I should have mentioned this in the film. Thanks for watching. Andy

After much digging around I have found a link to a vendor. The brand is Muraspec and the pattern is called GL07. I can find only one sulkier in the UK and can't locate it on the Muraspec website so I suspect it may be out of stock.
