How many people here are glad Hal has this channel? Glad to see he is recommended again!
He's on Rumble, too.
For sure
For sure
Me!
Hal is a great mate!
I saw a National Geographic show about tiger sharks one time that showed a researcher get hit in the side by the tail of a tiger shark and not only did it damage her ribs, but you can see the shock wave ripple through her body. I will never forget it.
Okay. No more snorkeling.
Sharks can inhabit air molecules too. So, don’t breathe.
Hey Hal - fellow Floridian here. My nickname is now "knees", as I never swim in water more than knee deep now .... thanks to you, Hal 😅
You go all the way up to your knees?? You’re brave! I’m an ankle girl myself! LOL!
Hal its great to see you back to your old self! You look good and healthy!
Another great show Hal, so ….. no spear fishing and now no snorkelling…. For me … no swimming of any kind in the sea lol
I live in Scotland so I feel safe in the sea, seen a few basking sharks and even thou they are harmless I still get out the water.
@@richardaitkenheaddamn that's cool
@rockyevans1584 it's like something out a movie, last one I seen was in addrossan Harbour it came right in and circled the Harbour then left, massive thing moved effortlessly barely disturbed the water was right at the surface,
@@richardaitkenhead yeah that must be amazing to see, and I think I'd be exiting the water with a quickness even though I know they don't tend to mess people up
@rockyevans1584 it was amazing too watch, the biggest fright i ever got was I lived near an old quarry (limestone maybe) and it shut it eventually when I was about 10 by the time I was 15 it filled up and we called it the blue lagoon it was nearly 80 feet deep in some places, it had sheer walls and trees at the side so you could find places to jump 30 feet into the water , a small stream dan into it and sometimes there was an awesome water fall, between 15 and 25 every summer it was mobbed people would come from 3 towns over, swim, dive , bbq all the time was amazing, some great memories but eventually, people dumped rubbish cows and sheep would fall in and unfortunately some kids drowned, so they decided to fill it in (took them 5 years) when we heard we knew it was the last summer we would have there so me and a few friends went and since it was miles from any river or the sea just rain and a small stream filled it in all the years there was no wildlife in it, me nor anyone ever seen any or even mentioned it,
But that very last day we were there we were having a swim race across to do some jumps off the highest tree and while swimming something touched my legs and I was behind everyone, so I assumed it was some reeds but when we were about to jump of the tree I seen something moving fast just below the water, 100% without a doubt it was alive and made a wake behind moved fast real fast, my friends seen it too. I never went back in.
That was 15 years ago I still don't know what was in that water,
Like I said miles away from any river or the sea, the stream that fed it was a foot wide and 3 inches deep, rain run off from the hills was dry half the year,
So what the hell and where the hell did that animal cone from and it never came up for air and moved so fast it must of been aquatic. What did it eat there was no animals or vegetation,
One of the greatest story teller in youtube. Thank you, Hal!
Hal still holds 1st place for me in his retelling of the horror that was the USS Indianapolis.
Crazy episode. Had to look up dusky sharks.. They're way bigger than I'd imagined.
Me too. 3 m is scary big for any kind of fish.
At the pier on St Simons Island Georgia there is a set of jaws from a dusky shark that was 13-14ft
Hello, from Vermont! Heading to Clearwater at the end of April…..to enjoy walking on the beach!
3:50 In case you’ve never seen a Beast of a Bull Shark. This is what they look like when they get 10+ feet. You do not wanna meet one of these in shallow water 😱
... Yikes 🎉🍻
Or anywhere else!!!
Dang I hate it when work interferes with SHARKS HAPPEN! That was a long three hours, waiting to watch this, but worth the wait, as always. Another great show, thank you Hal!
Great show Hal! Love that little frog in the water, it’s just too cute! Thanks for all you do Hal, it’s really appreciated.
🐸
Great timing, just got home from work - Hal is thinking of his European viewers again today 😀 🦈 🙋♀️🇭🇷

Hi Hal! Glad to see my frog again! 😂🐸🩵
Another great show Hal. 🦈🦈🦈🦈🦈
The dusky shark having nothing in its stomach was the same case with the tiger shark that consumed Vladimir Poppov. Apart from his remains, they found nothing else in its stomach. And, usually if it's a healthy shark, you're gonna find evidence of that shark feeding on things in its stomach.
I've stepped on stingrays while wading out in the ocean. Weird feeling them slithering out from under you. Great show today Hal. So glad you are firmly back. Ty again...
My man Hal back at it again with the quality content!
My man Paul! Back at it again with the quality comment! 🦈🩵
His channel is the only one I allow notifications for!😂 and I always look for your comment!
@angelwalker979 @TheVickster321 🥳❤️
@angelwalker979 " quality" is not really an adjective, it's a noun.
Hi Paul - I always look for your comment and worry about you if I don't see it. 😊
Great show Hal, those darn sharks.
Love, love, love your shows Hal, can never wait for the next one ❤
Waist- deep water seems more terrifying than anything else. At least under water you can see something.
Yeah, that was my only shark encounter. Wobbygong. I’m from the bush, and everyone had reckoned, nah, they don’t bite. So I saw one and thought I’d give it a pat. It didn’t mind, I went on my way. Then I found out later, when I told me mum they had soft sandpaper skin, they can and do bite! Lucky little 12 year old me😅(except mum gave me a cuff😂)
😂😂😂❤
Still my favorite channel! We love you Hal. Best stories! Not the shark attacks, I mean your adventures 😅❤
Thank you, Hal from South Africa 🇿🇦
Hal is back with another banger! Thanks again!
Totally agree!
The sensation of the ground disappearing under your feet freaks me out!
Overcast and cold or sunny and chiĺy air or hot sun and no shade unless you carry it in, and good luck finding a spot!
Give me an airconditionedcpr heated restaurant or bar or best pf all, hotel room with a view!
Morning Hal nice shirt😊
His shirt game is strong ~ (may be a florida thing - can't have too many sun shirts/sun hoodies lol)
Thanks Hal, another top upload.
I didn't want to hear this before bedtime so I waited till today . Don't like nightmares
Happy Friday-Eve.
Great video.
Hal I can't begin to tell you how happy you make me when I see your show. Thank 🙇 you so much. X
Hello. Good Morning Hal 🦈🦈 Happy Shark Thursday 🦈🦈
Great show Hal. I can't believe that I grew up in Bethany Beach Delaware and swam everyday without ever worrying about sharks. The water there is not clear like it is here in FL. Ever since following your channel I have not taken 1 step into the ocean. Just know that you may have saved my life with these stories. If I want to swim now it's only in a pool. Lol
I live in Rehoboth/ Lewes area
0 attacks but I don't chance it at our beaches
@@tdorman21 I miss Rehoboth Beach. My brother built a huge house there and it's so nice to visit him and his husband.
@lizkotchek928 there are alot of huge houses here now. I was born here and love beach just not water fan since jaws
@@tdorman21 ha ha! I was 13 when Jaws came out and my brother would tease me in the water pretending he was a shark. I felt safe in the ocean because you really can't see anything. I wouldn't go in that water for anything now. It's even more scary since there is virtually no visibility.
Thanks again Hal, keep'm coming !
Much appreciated
Thanks Hal!
Was just watching slow frame by frame attacks on Cameron Robbins and Vladimir Popov o my lord so brutal looks like Cameron Robbins had a GW on him in the a area they are not in but I think they follow the boat as food source they throw old food over and i guess sometimes drunk teens jump in 😐 thanks Hal norther great show !
I guessed Cameron had a tiger shark on him but who knows.
@@tracieday8661It did look like a Tiger shark that came up by his legs right before he went under. The first one you can see swim by and turn around, the one he spotted before he swam the other way, may have been a hammerhead.
Where do you find that??? Somebody actually filmed that???
@zipmegolden It's the original film just slowed down.
Hi Hal
We have had about 5 or 6 shark attacks here in Australia 🇦🇺 in the last 6 months. It’s bazaar we are having so many attacks , I know this sounds horrible but I just hope women aren’t getting in the water with their monthly’s or people are not weeing in their, I think it’s more women than men I can’t remember, It might be something to make people aware of if they are going to go in the water not to go in with these things happening with your body.
I’m only mentioning it because a lot of people don’t know these things attract sharks. Stay well , You do a fantastic job mate 😊Our Aussies talk 😂have a Barbie ❤️🩷
It's bizarre...a bazaar is a market
After watching SH since the beginning, I wont even snorkle in the deep end of the pool
I enjoy your stories Hal
Nice footage of the wobbegong (good camouflage as it literally blends into the floor) and the bull with that massive gulp....yikes. Really enjoyed this one.
Thank you Hal.
Another great show hal brilliant stuff 🇬🇧🇬🇧
I hope everyone understands that Hal needs those ads at the beginning of his videos to pay the bills and be able to continue with reducing quality content for us.
Great show Hal! Looking forward to seeing your next show.
Best way to not get attacked.Stay out of the ocean....
Stay away from drop offs people! Also if you see seals or turtles, get away from them!!!!
Or just don't go in the water at all!!!
Excellent video Hal 😃
Thanks for another great episode.
Love your videos ❤ thank you
Cant get enough 😊
Thank you for your content.
Excellent story teller.,.,Love this podcast Here in southern California
... Riversiiide! I. E. ! 🎉🍻
Thanx Hal Desde Mexico West Coast!
Love Hals channel 🇿🇦
Seen a 3.0m Wobbegong get aggresive towards Surfers . So much so I had the leave the water. Can be a little teritorial
Hi Hal , good to see you again. Great show! Thank you 😊
Thank you Hal,I have been terrified by sharks since I was 10,I'm learning 😊
Great informative video ! Thanks Hal🦈
Another classic show, thx Hal.
Btw, it's questionable if sharks are attracted to human blood or not. There was an experiment done using fish blood and human blood; nine times out of ten the sharks were attracted to the fish blood.
I think they are initially drawn to the blood by smell and the other senses dominate when close proximity
Great Show Hal!
Always great to see you. Its kinda weird but I like falling asleep listening to your stories. Very scary, I love the beach but I quit going in the ocean years ago because in Southern California there are shark attacks here. Thanks for all the information. ❤
I'm finding myself sitting through all of the ads, even the 3 minute ads, to support your channel Hal. You are getting a lot more ads the last couple of months. I appreciate all the work you put into your show! So I will continue to watch ads, and support you. Sharks Happen is my favorite UA-cam channel ❤
U can skip the ads. Watching is supporting the channel!
I tell ya every time I snorkel I see bigger sharks every time lol I’m just saying I don’t think I’ll be snorkeling anymore
Always a great show Hal.
My heart goes out to that torn up Great White. Hopefully it's all healed by now.
Love this show Hal all the best from the 🇬🇧

Always thankful when a new Hal vid appears. Thanks man 👍🏻
Hey Mr sharkman. Hal it's great to see you. A very enjoyable show. I said many times I won't ever go in the sea again. 👀 😳 🐟

Love your content, thank you Hal 😊
Thanks Hal.
Hey Hal, l have watched every show so far, and I haven’t seen you cover any fatal attacks in south east Florida, which is good news for me😅
There might have been some but can’t find them. It’ fascinating because we have a ton of people in the water, and an inter coastal waterway. I am sure we have lots of bulls and tigers. We even have turtles nesting here in palm beach county. We have a series of off shore reefs, going gradually from 40 to 80 ft., water is very clear.
Then you haven’t watched all of them . He covered the fatal shark attack at Stuart Beach awhile back .
@@gladeshunter8796 I consider south east Florida to start from palm beach down. The underwater environment and currents change and the waters are less murky the further down you go.
@@marsrii4372 that’s simply untrue but hey you’re entitled to your opinion .
@@marsrii4372 Stuart is only 30 minutes north of Palm Beach lol and in the early 1900’s were both in the same county .
@@gladeshunter8796 yes I know, but the Gulf Stream starts coming closer to shore around there. There must be a reason why the majority of shark attacks happen in central Florida and none that I have seen further south…
How big is the great white in your background Hal? Seems like an accurate scale!
It’s crazy how many shark attacks happen in shallow water! That is just so freaky!
Thank you for a good start to my morning Hal💠
Love that shirt, Hal!! Another great Show!
I definitely wouldn't swim where there was sharks,
I live in Scotland so feel safe in sea,
I seen a basking shark up close, still stayed out the water even thou i know they are harmless.
When i was younger i was on holiday in devon and while at a beach a blue shark was spotted but nobody cared.
I didn't go back in the water that day
sea serpents
Where there's ocean, there are 🦈 . Just saying!
sea serpents
lochness monsters

... Yo, Josh! mid Missouri says "Oy, mate!" 🍻
Cheers sancho😂
My kids used to swim at Clearwater Beach! 😱
Clearwater and Tampa Bay have an enormous amount of sharks!!!
Great video.
As far as Texas goes, I remember there were a string of attacks back in the late 80's at Mustang Island. I'm not sure of the exact year.
I want that shirt lol.
Yes midweek sharkyness.🦈🦈🦈
Living in Texas we only go into the ocean on the boat for fishing. When you're 100 yards from shore and a 3 meter white shark comes up to your boat circling it for several minutes it gives you a great respect for it and there's no way you're going into that water !! What's so scary is when there's people swimming in the same area as the shark. All that could be done was to call the harbor master and alert him of the shark so the people could be warned.
Make sure you have a bigger boat! Wouldn't want it to ram you or tip you over. 😉
SAVE THE SHARKS!!
Im gunna strat sand swimming 😂no sea in future 😂
Hal you are a fucking King lad
Hello Hal from central Florida
Watcha been eatin shark? 🦈
Man if a 10ft Wobby grabbed hold of you then you got problems .
LOL Luke Bryan got shark attacked in his pickup truck
No he didn't! Katy Perry seen the shark and kicked it to the curb!! 🫠
No wading either!
G'Day Hal, have you done a video on Rodney Fox ?
Yes. He was covered about 40-50 episodes in and has a single attack episode in that playlist
@SharksHappen Thanks, mate. I'll look it up
Poor guy! That was one of the worst attacks I've ever heard of. 2 sharks! WTH! I still think of him to this day! Horrible, Horrible!! 😮💨😮💨😢😢
