Day 2 of playing Master of Puppets by Metallica until I can play the whole song perfectly

- Today I wanted to just get to know the chords and notes and get comfortable with them instead of worrying abt pace or doing it exactly like the song. I did like two attempts this time. Let me know if I'm doing anything incorrectly of if I can do anything better👍

Keep it up bro. Some of the notes, you are picking twice when they should only be picked once. Hard to explain on text which part im talking about but im referring to when you play the open E twice and then pick the 12 then 11. Those are only supposed to be picked once each. You're doing fine picking the E twice before each once. It gets a little confusing towards fret 4 because you start only picking those once. Im sure youre looking at a guide and will get the hang of it eventually. Remember to palm mute! Hope that all makes sense and ill keep watching. Keep it up!
Yep, I'm trying to do the two times mute then 12,11, and power chord but I gotta practice more to memorize it

i think you should do more egzersiz on down picking,alternate picking and playing faster because master of puppets have difficult solos that can be hard for begginers i am playing for 1.5 year and i learnt this song in one year so dont be upset because you cant play just do more exercise and work for it and i believe you will play this
Yes, I've been told to do more alt picking so I've been practicing that a little. Do you have any specific exercises I could try?🙏
@@Ken-d7f Focus in many songs that aren’t hard at first, then when you remember a song you couldn’t play before you’ll see you can in some months of practice, I still can’t play the second solo of master of puppets even after 8 months of practice, it takes hours of patience each day.
@@B3nCastle I know it's going to be difficult and take a lot of time, but it's about the journey not the destination. I'm going to enjoy practicing this song and seeing how much I improved since the first day😄

I guess the best feeling is coming back at the tablature you couldn’t even play at first and getting the songs right in five minutes, seriously, if you find your passion in guitar is going to be something natural to do daily, the guitar will always be there even in the thoughest of days.
@@B3nCastle Main reason I created this account was to track and record my progress so I can see how far I made it. But yeah the guitar is going to be more than just a hobby and I'm giving it my all while enjoying it🤘
Learn palm muting. Don't use your whole arm to pick since this song is crazy fast and it requires a ton of stamina, especially the main riff, right after the intro riff. Lock your wrist between the bridge and the bridge pickup so you can play faster and then practice slowly, gradually speeding up until you can do it full speed. Also, you should probably only downpick since that's the way James Hetfield plays it and sounds more correct than alternate picking it ( if it's easier for you to alt pick, then do it that way). You'll get it down. It's not the hardest song in the world. I learned the whole thing in a month, playing every day for hours and after months of playing it, I still struggle with some parts, because they are so damn fast.
