Day 11 of playing Master of Puppets by Metallica until I can play perfectly

- I used metronome today and tried to adjust my posture as well. I played at a steady 80 bpm along with the song as well. I'm getting used to the metronome(I might be going a lil bit faster or slower on some parts). Slow day today just to take it easy and burn the notes into my mind as well. I didn't practice the 012013 part because I wanted to focus on just the intro today so I don't have to worry about it later and so I can have a strong foundation. Tips are greatly appreacited 🙏🕺

Keep it up! I'm betting within a year you'll have the entire song, solo and all down if you practice a couple hours a day. Probably not as great as the original but you'll hit the notes :) As someone who was in your shoes 30 years ago or so, I'd highly advise you also learn how to read music and understand the theory behind the chords, scales, and roots. I waited until 25 years after playing to figure it out and it makes a world of difference! JustinGuitar is an amazing resource too.
@@TheQman69 I'm learning how to read music at the moment as well :D, I plan to learn a little bit of music theory as well but not too deep because I would like to experiment with music and not follow a guideline or do what everyone else is doing

I would try learning small bits and really work on those for 5 minutes each like the first part before the fret walk up thing That helps me a lot
@@liamgriffin8850 Yeah that's what I've been doing, trying to master one part before moving onto the next. I got intro pretty much down, I just need to practice doing a steady bpm while playing and hitting the right notes. Thank you though🙏

Not hating, we all start somewhere, but try to focus on the metronome seeing as you're using one. It'll pay dividends in the future.

hey man i dont think anyone mentioned this yet, but your notes keep buzzing, either you arent pressing down hard enough (which i hope is the case as it is easy to fix) or your truss is not adjusted right, which can take around 15 minutes to fix using a yt tutorial
also this is super amazing for just 11 days and def way better than me lmaoo
@@maimxni most likely the truss, because I play a note perfectly but there's always a buzz, no matter how hard I press. I'll try to fix it before I play today

Honest advice here, you're doing good but you should focus on easier songs first. It will be way better for learning the guitar!
@@esmee8970 For this channel, master of puppets is the main focus. However outside of this channel I've also been practicing other songs and riffs to help me learn other things as well so I'm not only stuck with one thing👍

im a beginner too, try using more than one finger when you’re doing the 007006005040302, that will help you so much doing it faster and it will be more easy when u get comfortable with it ^^

Go for alternative picking. Would help a lot in long run.
@@TheAShade For this song, I'm only going to play down picking. However I'm still practicing alt picking and trying other riffs/songs with it as well so I can learn both👍
@@Ken-d7ftry exercises daily as well, because both your left and and right hand seems very uncomfortable it will help loosen up your fingers, so you could possibly play quicker
