The first half of the ua-cam.com/users/postUgkx3ICSK6nSknaL_45CU2NmFSoXjarGMDiJ book is everything about wood: types, tools, finishes, setting up shop etc. The second half is all about doing projects for inside and outside of the home. The color pictures are helpful. After reading a dozen of these types of books, this is probably the best overall (layout, color photos, plans). Only detraction is that many of the projects use a table saw/router/planer, which are usually expensive and take up space, so the plans are less friendly to newcomers and the budget conscious. But I know I can use a drill, circular saw or a jigsaw to make the projects.
Am I the only one who thought that in the intro, Shaun talked about his story of being a side kick? xD
I expected him to do the build wearing a cape.

Proportion and division of line and face is a work of art. This rack looks both practical and beautiful.
Great work! The multi-stage sled you put together for the hooks was genius. Would never have occurred to me. I'd have done the first cut on all four pieces, then changed setup for the second and done all four etc. But that sled was so much more elegant!
Love the piece and the OG feel of the video. It’s great having some of your videos include the editing and feel of your older videos mixed in with the newer takes.

Looks great, Shaun. OF course, "#1" had to show at the end. Did you use a spacer to keep it parallel to the wall or was the cleat wide enough by itself? Take care.

Thanks Bill! Yeah, the cleat was wide enough, so it didn't need a spacer at the bottom.

Very attractive piece. How did you hide the ends of the French cleat on either side?
Thanks! The french cleat is 1/2" thick plywood, and it is inset from the ends of the piece by 3-4", so you would have to press your face against the wall with a flashlight to really see it.

Great looking piece. But really quickly...can you scoot the console table just a little right. And square up the verticles on both pieces. (Sorry...graphic designer in me took over.). Looking forward to the next one.
I used to be a graphic designer. In reality the pieces right most edges are in alignment and the empty space to the left will be filled by a framed picture.
