Yes very sad all those people lost.I am now realising how short our journey is on the earth. Your right we need to live as much as we can. We both left our jobs in the last week. Me and the wife decided to take a year out whilst we are fit enough. Don't know what's in store for us on our journey but it exciting. All I know is I am going to try and live in the present moment. You take care pal
Barry having been in Valencia when the floods hit don't go anywhere near. My wife and I left our hotel in the city centre on Wednesday morning and only made it back to Punta Prima on Thursday afternoon. We failed to get anywhere on Wednesday at all and slept in the car at a services on Wednesday night. Using Waze to identify road closures we headed north west for 100 KM then down to Landete then to Cuneca via Boniches and home via Albacete, 640 KM. Valencia is quite rightly getting the attention it deserves but there was quite a bit of other damage too. My lasting memory will be of a family of five walking along a deserted main road carrying their five cats in crates with no other possessions. So sad.
Your dead right Barry, we were very lucky, Valencia in the north to Almeria in the south got absolutely battered. My thoughts are with the families and friends of those affected. Truly tragic.
Gosh i hope its gone now with Not to many Casualties. Hard to believe it all happens so quickly and you just never know . Water is Very Dangerous 😳. Take care and condolence to al the family's of lives that have been lost . So sad 😞
The thing is Barry because of all the instant bloggers and sensationist Fake news alarmists it's harder to believe what's seen on the internet. I believed it when it was on reputable BBC type newscast. Call me old school technophobe 😮 Cheers and stay safe DougT
The floods did not reach the city of Valencia thanks precisely to the hydrological plan of the dictator Franco, who after the flooding of the river Turia in 1957, ordered the river to be diverted to the south, thus avoiding flooding. Franco was the only leader in Spain who provided the country with all kinds of infrastructure, improving farming, industry, the health system, etc., etc., etc. Franco was a dictator, yes, but it was a time of war all over the world, and he did what he could, which is already much more than what anyone ever did again for Spain. Here, in the Vega Baja, all the crops are irrigated thanks to the Torremendo reservoir, built following Franco's hydrological plan that was completed in the 1980s. Likewise, this dam is fed by the Tajo/Segura transfer, an infrastructure that, of course, is also Franco's work. However, today politicians are using those times of crisis and war to incite the masses and divide people for their own political benefit. This is a despicable move. Even so, there was still much to do, such as the transfer of the Ebro River, which would relieve congestion in Catalonia and benefit the entire southeast. And although in modern times there was an attempt to resume the operation, we are talking about Catalonia... a business that in Spain is often called "borraja water" (bad business). Today, the demolitions of different reservoirs are being denounced, including 2 yesterday in Valencia, which would have led to the increase in the mass of water displaced towards the southern part of the province. The matter is very serious at a political level, it is like an operation of self-destruction, and we do not know what benefit the politicians could get from it. Perhaps European subsidies...
Unfortunately this is nothing to do with global warming, the use of H.A.R.R.P is causing all this devastating weather and the U.S.A have been manipulating the weather since the 1960s. Its not just storms that can be controlled its also volcanic eruptions like what we saw in Japan in 2011.
You're right 100% it's all engineered weather. We're not all stupid and believe what the Globalists tell us.They can make any weather they want now with the technology.😡
@jacquelinemartin9124 funny how these conspiracy theories all turn out to be true. Apparently at the current rate of conspiracy theories coming true we will run out of them by 2027.
🥰👏🏾condolences to all affected by the terrible, intense storm, well said Barry❤️
Glad to see you are both safe 😊

Yes, there is no longer such thing as natural weather. Same as "wild" fires, all arson and blamed on climate change. Land grab.
Looks really nice there, where is that ?
