Tech Tutorial || '11-'14 Mustang GT and F-150 IAT/ACT Wiring for PD Superchargers

  • In this video, Justin covers the '11-'14 Mustang GT and 5.0 equipped F-150 IAT/ACT wiring procedure in a step-by-step tutorial. This procedure will provide an IAT2 signal source for tuners to use in monitoring post-rotor intake air temps for tuning and engine protection procedures and is similar on both Mustang and F-150's using our Gen3R supercharger kit.
    ** Please note, that if you are installing an Odin or Loki supercharger kit on your vehicle, you are provided a plug and play kit specific to the Odin head unit that will not require these steps.

    Great vid. Can you guys please make a vid comparing the Intercooler pump that came with the GEN2R / GEN3R kits and compare it to the high flow pump you offer on your website? I’m thinking of adding the high flow pump to my 17 GEN2R car.

    my kit has the Iat2 sensor input on the iat1 cable (robbed from Maf sensor)and this is used as IAT2 to pull timing if needed. the ambient air temp sensor is used as IAT 1 so is there any benfit using this kit? i dont see an advantage other than this is probably the correct way.

    so you guys installed and tuned a gen3 blower on my 16, and i believe you also put in the harness for the iat sensor since it was swapped. so does the iat # that reads on my dash read iat2? i cant find iat2 on my sctx4

      15up only have IAT 1, it's measured post intercooler with the harness we supply and a special brass IAT sensor used on 15+. IAT 1 will show up on the dash and with our harness indicate post blower and charge air cooler temps.

    please release the full video of the 11-14 gen3r install, there is too many little things that are not the same when watching the gen2 install. This is a BIG deciding factor on me purchasing a supercharger kit from you guys I need a good install video for strictly 11-14 gen1 coyotes. please please please. Thank you.
    edit: nvm I will probably just spend the extra money on an odin, since you guys have the install vid for some reason and a provided plug and play kit, cooling properties seem better also.
    what kinda hp/psi would I be looking at with a 92mm pulley

      Duly noted regarding the s197 Gen3R install. As for the boost with the 92, 10-11psi peak and depending on the car/tranmission/any other mods, somewhere in the middle to high 500s at the wheels on a Gen1 car with Loki.

      @@VMPPerformanceTV ​ @VMPPerformance I appreciate it a lot, thank you really. I just really noticed the Loki kit, I am very interested in that now, also it is a little less money which is nice, what are the overall differences?
      Something to do with the heat exchanger? And no BAP, and stock air box still being used is the only differences I see. Honestly the LOKI kit seems to fit all my needs.
      Easier install, No grinding, better cooling properties, better performance I may add.
      Also I am 6R80 trans stock, Ford single piece driveshaft, tuned, 3.15 stock gears. Planning to run the kit on pump 93 with 92mm.
      I am currently watching the install video on the Odin, I am assuming both installs of the Loki and Odin are basically the same, yes?

      You're welcome! The Loki kit re-utilizes the stock throttle body and air box as well as runs a single pass non fanned heat exchanger. Everything else you've got pretty well nailed down. Yes, the installs between the two kits are virtually the same. Also, the Loki kit can later be upgraded to Odin spec with those individual parts.

    Hey I never knew I needed this mod with my Gen3r i just installed. Is this mod mandatory or no? I would of had tech add this IAT2 sensor if i knew this was required. Is it ok not to have this mod? I will have my tech do this later. Let me know if its mandatory or not.

      This harness and sensor set is included with Gen3R and earlier kits for the 11-14 Mustang and F-150.

    This wasn't included with my loki kit and isn't on the hardware pack sheet this is keeping my car from running

      Hey Bryan, as noted in our description, Loki and Odin kits do not get this kit.

      As long as your tune is calibrated to properly read the PID. Due note that HP's support of the nGuage is going away in the near future.

      @@VMPPerformanceTV you guys tuned my tvs coyote and it runs tits 👌. My car is currently tuned using an old sct x3 . I sold my raptor and now i have a spare n gauge I'd like to use for my mustang . I tried to look up air charge temp or iac2 in the n gauge with no luck . . Would very much like to know what my air charge temps are ,just don't know how to do it
