Kevin those cuts are so quick and precise, amazing work. Gifted a talent like this is rare for sure. Thank you so much for sharing this short but perfect time with us all :)
Hello Kevin, I think it has to be said the level of carving you attain from, and I know this to be true as I asked you some time ago, from old floor joists and bits of scrap wood Pine and the like, fill me with envy how you release these little people from the wood. TOP MAN, and a big Thank You it really spurs me on to keep trying!!!
Ifound taking big chunks at a time chalenging i pussy foot around to much, next session ill try your way love your videos only recently started doing human faces ,thank you
Thanks for your video, and I agree, practice and more practice...........everytime I do any art/carving/wire/etc. I learn something, mostly on tools and skill of the use of the right tool for the job at hand
Hi Kevin, thank you for posting this video. I love the subtlety of the finer cuts which allow the facial expression to emerge. My question is this - have you posted any videos which include the ears? Many thanks.
Lastima q no tenga yo aqui en España esa madera, q envidia, pero lo practico y trabajo con otras gracias a sus directrecicrs. Salud y espero seguir viendo sus Trabajos.
Great little guy. Your 12 minute quick carves are my 90 minute carves :) I can se how changing a few simple cuts can give the little fella a beard, moustache or hat. Thanks for the inspiration.
As always a nice demo, what really amazes me is how you keep your knife so sharp 👍
Thank you Dan. I recently got a new diamond stone which helps
Do you have the “grit” number for the diamond stone Kevin?
Your technique and knife control are just amazing!! Thanks for the great videos mr kevin
Thank you Sir
I'm at a wow every time you put out a carving video. Great stuff! I learn a lot from those videos. Please keep them coming.
Thank you Bob
Hi Kevin, always get inspiration from the carvings you create. They make me want to keep carving & get better. Thanks so much.
Thanks Bruce
I love Kevin's videos but definitely not for novice carvers.
Thanks Ron. One like this is good for a beginner. The key is to practice making the cuts to get better
Kind of a cross between Jay Leno and Sylvester Stallone, Lol. Great video. Cheers!

Taking big chunks comes in time along with a little confidence. The more you carve the more comfortable you will get taking bigger bites into the wood
Buen día.
La madera que utilizas es verde?
Is green wood what You are using?
Gracias.
It’s kiln dried wood
AWESOME. THANK YOU
Great video. I think I think about the face too much!!

Would that be (Eastern?) white pine (Janka 380) or Southern yellow pine (Janka 870) ? Your preference, please?
Thank you
Eastern white pine. It comes from Eastern Canada

Thanks Terry, practice goes a long way. Also, no matter how long you have been doing it there's always more to learn
