This was an EXTRAORDINARY interview/documentary. So glad that through all of Ben and Chris's ups and downs, that the two of them have been able to come and STAY together. Here's to their friendship and here's hoping that Daniel will come back and do the same. There was nothing (EVER) like the band Silverchair. I mean, they were mere kids and managed to sound like grown men!!! (And trust, they were keeping up and sounding as GREAT as the BEST of them). Man, Silverchair was the GREATEST...🤩🤩🤩!!! Who knows what tf is going on behind the scenes but id say daniel is isolating himself with everything to do with silverchair i think in an effort to create a new identity as a solo artist but also to forget about the days being in the band. I mean the guy was pretty much contantly mentally or physically ill throughout his whole career in thwt band is probably looking just heal and hide away from the spotlight Unfortunately in his efforts to distance himself from the band and what it meant and all that he's burnt some bridges in the process, its a shame but i understand where hes coming from
I have mixed emotions in this. I'm a big fan of the band since 1998. They were part of my youth and they influenced me in terms of music in general. I'm sad on what happened to them but I'm glad that their music is still lingering within me.

My best friend (who was also a big fan of Silverchair) left this plan and we didn't renew our friendship, mostly out of pride, I told Dan this when he replied to messages. He did not respond to this message. But I'm optimistic that they'll be friends again. I hope it's not too late.

It’s such a shame Daniel isn’t friends with them anymore, after all they experienced together… I still will always hope for a Silverchair reunion one day to hear them sing there earlier stuff live (especially Neon Ballroom, greatest album of all time imo)
I cannot understand how 2 other bandmates couldn't see the trouble Daniel was going through. Depression is real. Other things he went through nobody saw this. This is why Daniel will never forget this from the manager all the way down. This is just my thoughts only. ❤

I feel really sorry for Ben & Cris. They're enjoyed everything with the band, play gigs, record albuns, but Daniel... always suffering with something, anorexia, heavy drinking, drugs, rehab, artritis, anxiety, etc. Now the guys remember Silverchair with nostalgia and Daniel associate it with health issues. Its just unfair for the fans
It was such a great band, but people grow apart. Even best mates. Daniel is a mess, though. When I see an interview with him, I see a man on the edge of a knife. I do hope that they find peace with each other though.
These guys tip-toe around the obvious - DJ chose a new lifestyle and part of that includes cutting ties with people in your past (regardless if they were good, bad, or indifferent). Call this new lifestyle what you will (flamboyant? metro? just plain weird?) but like ok, Ben and Chris aren't part of this lifestyle but why does that have to mean you can't be still be casual mates? I've seen this play out with past friends in my life, and it's bazaar.

The drugs the drink the women and paul fucking mac.... but I will love SC till I die. They just had something so special.

And obsessed fans are beyond comprehension, If you’ve never experienced it, It’s fucking scary and if it can get under your skin to a point where you’re fucked up and in a hole. Especially when you can’t escape it at their level. You can’t go to the local shop or anything and you seek other reclusive outlets. You all seek the fame, then the animosity, then teater inbetween. It’s terrifying at times, because you can’t do what you want. You’ll never be good enough but also better than others.. Everyone wants to be your best friend and you don’t know who’s a real friend or a cling-on. So you branch out steer away and shit happens. Your closest people become the most distant. Not saying this is Dan, but this is only my opinion and only that, as I’ve experienced it. Obviously not to this degree... But I fricking get it. I wanna hide most of the time and chill out and just do my frigging shit. But people have different tendencies based on their own selfish desires and so the circle continues. Now I’m rambling 😂 But you get it yeah?
Part two: wow the lead singer seems like he has lead a darker lifestyle for sure! Not wanting to talk or be buds again w either one of his mates?!! He seems lonely matter of fact the other two and members have kids wives nice family and meanwhile the one holding all the grudges-resentment is all alone and angry looking 😢 yikes bad vibes man bigtime
Not all friendships are forever. Some people just grow apart, even if one side of the friendship is still open to remaining friends. This happens to even the most inseparable of friends.
Ben, Chris and Daniel been through a lot. Tha ammount of fame so early in life can change your head. But the thing is, at the end of it, Ben and Chris are both down to Earth guys, while Daniel got too cought up his head. He sees himself as a celebrity and isolates form the past, mostly like Scott Weiland did. STP are still solid, those 3 dudes still hang uo and love each other, sadly Scott took another way. As it is for Daniel. But well, hope he drop all the atitude someday and go back being an ordinary human.
Watch recent interviews of Daniel and you will see how much the whole thing messed him up and it still triggers him to this day. He was suffering physically and mentally during Silverchair that’s why he ended it, he literally said in an interview that he wouldn’t be here today if he hadn’t put an end to it… it wasn’t because his head got too big like some people sadly think.
