I don't understand why the Honda VTX 1800 is not on here, but I got mine delivered to my shop in Chattanooga Tennessee. The Guy was 4⅐ hours away in a little part of Alabama. I bought the bike and even give the guy a hundred dollar bill for gas. I have a total of $3,600 in it and it's only got 22,000 original miles on it. I am the second owner and I just changed the oil for the third time in it's life time.

I've got a 1800c . Stripped 172 .7 lbs off of it . It's was a blast stock , but now it's just a beast . Dropped the heavy exhaust, cut off every bracket not structural, cut of rear pegs , saved 15lbs by going with a set of cnc aluminum controls , solo seat , cut 75% of the fenders off , switch housings gone , ignition is gone ( just a little 2 oz switch now) saved 11lbs by going with a lithium battery, aluminum pegs , put lightweight aluminum spoke wheels on it and many other heavy weight crap off and gone. Oh , and I also personally lost 50 lbs myself ,215 down to 165 ish. Next I'm looking for a small shot of nitrous , if I can figure out how much this engine can handle without blowing up.

Man, it's sad that it is a rare occurrence to see the 3rd generation Honda Magnas mentioned on any list. 12.5 1/4 mile, 4.5 0-60, dirt cheap and reliable, smooth and able to take a corner, always left behind on lists because it is a 750cc V4. Love that bike

The VTX 1800 is a great bike to flip, as well. Found a T model, guy wanted $3k. Talked him down to $2k. Old guy, original owner, in much too bad of shape to ride anymore. The bike needed some TLC after sitting for a couple years. Had bags and a wonderfully comfortable Mustang seat. Replaced brake pads, tires, fuel pump, and all new fluids. About 6 to 8 hours of cleaning/polishing wheels and chrome. Had about $700 and 12-15 hours of work into it. Sold it for $5300. Was a nice flip, but kind of wish I kept that bike. Was a great cruiser.

Flat Six, I never heard it called that before but makes total sense. I've always called it the boxer engine, and they're phenomenal. Some of the most reliable engines are flat six, like Subaru and Goldwing. I'd take the Valkyrie of all of those, for longevity.

Dude, my wife of 41 years rides. Her first scooter was a Kawasaki 800 V-Twin with a 36 tooth rear sprocket. 10 hr putts @ 80 mph....no problem. Then she bought a 2006 HD Deluxe. Now her favorite scooter of all, '96 HD Springer FX. When we bought it in 2010 it dynode @ 120 HP. It Was fast! In 2014 the factory computer with rev limiter (5500rpm) failed and I put old school points & condenser in. Wow, this Ladies bike has no rev limit. @ 7 or 8,000 rpm it must be pulling 140-150 HP. And bud she knows how to ride fast including reverse steering. She really turns me on. Out here on the Left Coast you could always find us going to Ventura riding side by side holding hands @ 80 mph down I-5. Love your tube & Love your prayers brother. Be Blessed

V45 Magna is very quick and not too heavy at 500lb. V65 is an absolute animal, but heavier and higher seat height. Both can be had well under $5k. Of the bunch, I personally prefer the 85-86 VF700C and you can get a mint one for under $2k. Best bargain out there and seriously under-appreciated bikes.
Also watch out for Ducati Diavel prices coming down. They can be had for $7k now and put every bike on this list to shame. Absurdly fast bikes.

I rode a 2020 demo scout and I found the seating poster way too close to a sportbike in my opinion. Power was super smooth and shifting was relatively smooth other than 1st and 2nd gear, those are a little rough like most other bikes. I also found the suspension a little jarring even for minor bumps in the road(and im also young!) other than that, with a few upgrades the bike would be completely awesome.

I have a motorcycle review magazine from when the Valkyrie was released and in the specifications, it stated the 0-60 on the stock Valkyrie was 3.7 seconds, not the mid 4's. On the cover, it also shows the valkyrie going down the highway doing a wheelie. I was read the six into six Cobra pipes made the bike lose about 10hp. I don't know how your bike sounds like a formula one. My Valkyrie, and everyone I've heard sounds like my 1970 Dodge Charger 500 with dual glass pack mufflers on it. Very basset. Sheesh! Five grand?! Sorry, but I don't have that kind of spare change, so I decided to learn how to rebuild carbs. Then I picked up a V-65 for $300 that had been sitting for 23 years. A month later, I was riding around on it. Sold that and bought an old KZ1300 for $200 (also not running), and was riding it after a couple months. Sold that, and was recently given (free!!) a ZL1000 Eliminator that had been parked with fuel in it for 14 years. The fuel made its way into the crankcase which made for an interesting (messy) oil change and, like the others, required complete carb rebuilds. Anyone can do this and save literally thousands of duckets while blasting around on bikes with over 100 horsepower!

  • @mikelosinger7469

If you ever get a Kawasaki ZL1000 in, not the 900 Eliminator, let me know. I wanted one since the came out in 87, I was 17 years old. I can still remember the magazine ad picture and headline “0 - 60 mph in 2.2 seconds.” Yeah baby! The MAX is was and is still king though, and I own a 2014 MAX, but I am nostalgic and want a ZL1000.

Pricing aside ($5k MIGHT get you mine used) but I'd put the title of my 2010 Kawasaki V2K on the line against any stock cruiser (I don't consider the VMax a cruiser, more of a standard) with confidence that I'd be owning a new bike -especially since it is now stripped down to bobber. 141 ft/lbs of torque and 114 horsepower stock. I've got a car tire on the back that eliminates most spin. Quick, quick, quick! Don't take this to mean I think it's the fastest cruiser out there, it's close enough that I wouldn't be afraid to run any of them.

Your choices are really funny. My $3000 Sportster S (tuned away from EPA compliance of course) will eat all but the Vmax. My 80 XJ750 does the same thing. The Magna is no slouch either. As far as the Indian, the Victory Octane was cheaper and faster then the Scout right out of the box and they are the same chassis and engine design.
