My neighbors abandoned this plant in a glass pot with no rolls. The roots were rotting and the only two leaves had brown/yellow tips. I took care of her and she was thriving, with five beautiful new leaves. Then I moved one month ago and she's not doing well again. I hope with your tips I'll save her. Thanks!!
I had to put my eyeballs back in my head when I saw this! Never seen an orbifolia this luscious. This is the only calathea on my wishlist and while I am intimidated by it, I am determined to try! I appreciate your tips.
Thanks for sharing this informative video! It was the best video i have found on youtube for calathea orbifolias. Hope mine also continues growing like this 🪴
What a beauty! Thanks for the tips ❤ by the way, wouldn’t giving it a shower be harmful because of tap water? We avoid watering it with tap water already, I’m confused about that part. Thanks
So I’m on my second try with this plant (first one died), and she’s still not doing well. I’m going to try all your tips and hope one day I have a plant as beautiful as yours!
😳 omg can’t believe what am seeing . How lush is calathea best looking queen plant I’ve ever seen . Am goin watch ur video over an over an over 😂I want my sick calathea to look this beautiful & big . You certainly are the calathea queen moms ❤🎉
@@TheLecaQueen only had mine 6 weeks she’s grew a lot of new leaves . She was doin good for 4 weeks then took a hissy fit . So I’ve reported her an her stalks have separated , leaves gone thin an drooping . Trying to be patient with her . Thinking of buying a humidifier to help her 🥲
My orbifolia is a couple months old now and keeps sprouting little leaves. I’m a fairly new plant mum but would love some tips on how to keep the base of the plant from going brown
Thank you very much for sharing your knowledge. I am confused there are so many different names for those bulbs or rhizomes. If you take those off the plant and put the plant back in the dirt with just roots what happens to the plant and if you can start a new plant from the rhizomes what is the best way to do that do I dry it out and plant it at another time I don't find anybody's video just getting to that point. And when I search it you get videos about doesn't matter what plant nobody specific to this plant that I just bought. A couple of those bulbs came off did I just screw my plant?
I bought some calatheas because they are so amazing looking so I bought A humidifier now if I boil water is that water going to better then straight from the tap ?
Omg… 😳. I went really huge nursery in the town, there were plenty of these, but every single plant has browned or broken leaves. I didn’t buy any. I have never seen a healthy version of this plant. I am in shock.
I get a lot of browning on my leaves. I keep it under a grow light, off side from light. soltech grow light. and I group all my calathea and marantas together with the humidifier right up front. water with distilled water. I'm stressed over this plant. I'm ready to give up. nexted up is switching to lecca.😊
OMG, I am So Heart Broken! What am I doing wrong??? My plant is around other plants, has a light, I give it distilled water, and has a humidifier. But ALL the leaves are growing yellow and brown edges, babies growing in small with brown tips and everything I do is NOT helping 😢😢😢😢
She is still getting bigger, new leaves all the time. I think I am hitting the problem where she needs repotting. She is already in a 20cm pot! HOw much bigger can I go?
Can you move a large plant to leca or is it best to start as a baby. My orbifolia took over 6 months to adjust to my climate in Colorado and needs to be repotted with good soil
So, I am still afraid of leca. That being said I bought a mixed planter setup last year that has a pothos, flf bambino and calathea orbifolia in it. I want to separate these and I want to know if the calathea orbifolia will be dramatic and try to die on me. I don't care about the flf.
I don’t have a humidifier or growlight. Is my orbifolia doomed? 🫣 edit: just saw the grouping thing! Appreciate the in-depth video 😍 never had a calathea before, so need all the info i can get! 😊

Thank you 😊
Oh my goodness!!!!!!!! She is absolutely fantastic.!!!! Breathtaking!
Thank you 😊
Understanding VPD(vapor pressure deficit) and how it effects the movement of water/nutrients throughout the plant is very insightful.
Thank you for that priceless nugget ❤️
What a beauty! When will you do an update/spotlight on that awesome looking fiddle leaf fig I spotted in the video? Thanks for sharing Nora!
Thank you! You want a Fiddle update? No problem! From your lips to my ears.

You are welcome 😊
Amazing 😮 🤩
Thanks 🤗
Just wow!
my plant is pretty big just bought it but I’d like to transplant into leca what’s a good pot to do it in?
Ah hi, i just found your channel. do you keep all your plants on leca? Is it possible to grow large plants in lecas? 😮
Yes I do! And you can grow big plants in leca. Check out this short: ua-cam.com/users/shortsCzgIg6UdZZc?feature=share
How often do you fertilize your plant?
My plants always have fertiliser or nutrients in the reservoir, they are always fed and happy
Impressive!
Thank you.
She’s BEAUTIFUL 😍 #PlantGoals
Mine in soil almost dying 😢if I plant them in Luca can I add water in the bottom of the pot?
Yes you can bottom water.
How much and how often do you water?
Hi, what are the alternative of Clonex clone solution as it is not available in my country?
I love your 🔍
🤣🤣
I hope i can replicate this. My baby confinues to bring in new leafs but she keeps bringing in brown spots. I've been feeling so defeated
Try, try and try again.
I have two of them. Keep changing their light habits and clump with other plants. One out of the two never browns and is getting huge.
So the plant sits in water all the time with leca? Sorry I didn’t understand 😅
Not water but nutrient solution yes it sits in that.
Is she still getting bigger? She is gorgeous ❤
She is still getting bigger, new leaves all the time. I think I am hitting the problem where she needs repotting. She is already in a 20cm pot! HOw much bigger can I go?
but... do I see brown spots on the lower leaves' edges and tips? 🤔 (left side in the video)
A certain amount is normal. For my plant when it starts doing that, I know it is root bound. See this video: ua-cam.com/video/-T9tAoZnvKY/v-deo.html
Thanks 😅
Welcome 😊
The beauty of your plant made me scream “WITCHCRAFT!!!!“
I’m pulled up watching close now.
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
She's beautiful.. Would love to see the pot she is in. It must be massive.
She is in a 20cm pot.
@@TheLecaQueen 😯😯😯😯😯 those roots must be travelling out having loads of fun in the reservoir
I think I overwatered mine. Brown tips are appearing at nearly all leaves.
🎉
I have so little luck with this plant
❤❤❤❤❤
Can you move a large plant to leca or is it best to start as a baby. My orbifolia took over 6 months to adjust to my climate in Colorado and needs to be repotted with good soil
It is possible sure, how that transition will go, I am not sure. I would recommend a small plant
So, I am still afraid of leca. That being said I bought a mixed planter setup last year that has a pothos, flf bambino and calathea orbifolia in it. I want to separate these and I want to know if the calathea orbifolia will be dramatic and try to die on me. I don't care about the flf.
that plant is brolic
I learned a new word today!
I don’t have a humidifier or growlight. Is my orbifolia doomed? 🫣 edit: just saw the grouping thing! Appreciate the in-depth video 😍 never had a calathea before, so need all the info i can get! 😊
