My Calathea is dying hope so, that she will come again, I take her out yesterday and now she's in a mix of Seramis/Perlite and Expanded clay...

Calatheas can be quite sensitive, but they often bounce back with the right care. The mix of Seramis, perlite, and expanded clay should help improve aeration and drainage, which is great. Keep an eye on the moisture levels and try to maintain a humid environment for it. Also, avoid direct sunlight, as Calatheas prefer indirect light. Hopefully, with some patience and TLC, she'll start showing signs of new growth soon!

Hi, may I know why does mine have the same like the one you showed us at 3:33? Could it be overwatering? I use rain water to water her.

I apologize for the late response! Yes, that usually happens when the plant sits in water for too long. Make sure to check the drainage holes to ensure they’re adequate. It might be a good idea to repot it in a chunkier mix for better drainage. Please let me know if you have more questions, I'm happy to help. 💚

@@PlantHouseGarden No problem! Thanks for the reply. Still trying to figure it out. I only have her for about a month. Hopefully she survives under my care 😝

My calathea have brown tips , can i bottom water. 💧

Yes, bottom watering can be helpful especially if brown tips are due to inconsistent moisture. Calatheas prefer evenly moist soil, and bottom watering allows the plant to absorb water gradually, helping to prevent overwatering. Just make sure to use filtered or distilled water if possible, as these plants are sensitive to minerals often found in tap water. Regular humidity is also key for reducing brown tips, so a humidifier or pebble tray can make a difference too! Let me know if you need more info 🙏❤️

This kind of soil could lead to under-watering. I would suggest repotting her and placing her in a chunky mix. You can either buy a ready-made aroid soil mix or make your own. I have a step-by-step video on how to prepare it: ua-cam.com/video/gPAfLmi1OJk/v-deo.html
This type of soil works well for all Calatheas because it retains enough moisture without keeping the soil too wet. When repotting, try to remove as much of the old soil as you can, but be very gentle to avoid damaging the roots, as they are sensitive and a bit dramatic.
Let me know if you need more information! 💚
