Yellow glue is also an excellent adhesive to bond laminate. I have had similar telegraphing issues from globs of contact cement and I generally prefer yellow glue. It's much stronger and less prone to delaminating as well. The coarse scratch pattern on the back of laminate allows yellow glue to bond to it's nonporous surface.
This is an awesome series, thanks for taking the time to film it!

Appreciate it Adam! Haven’t heard about that, only heard of using it to bond a backing like rawhide. Do you mean a yellow wood glue like titebond?

@@SurvivalSchoolHouse Yep yellow glue, or more technically aliphatic resin, is the most common type of wood glue used in titebond and other major manufacturers. Interesting fact , it was originally tinted yellow to differentiate it from inferior adhesives used in the industry such as PVA or hide glue. Hide glue does still have some advantages in the repair of antiques.
Thanks for all your videos, you are by far the best survival instructor on UA-cam. Gratitude from the land of 10,000 lakes!

50-60 psi, I show glue up in more detail during part 3. It’s a smooth bow!
