Geeze Andy-you never cease to amaze! You come up on a soft spot, execute plan B, and Voilà ….Yet another masterpiece!! LOVE getting to see start to finish. You are gifted! 👏🫵👏👏😀💚
This is definitely in my top favorites, the way the grain encircles the inside, changing appearance depending at what angle you are looking, is an astounding effect.
I love watching Andy's videos! He creates a stunning and beautiful work of art, but still keeping the natural beauty of the wood! But I expect nothing less from the great Andy Phillip! I'm always excited when he posts a new video! Always wondering what treasure is he creating today!!
What a truly stunning piece of wood and the live edge really adds to the overall beauty ... I don't think having to remove the rot spoiled it in anyway, I think the size is just right 👍
I absolutely love watching you work. You make it look so easy, I’m sure most of us watching would love to have a go. And the end products are always amazing. Great work Andy. ❤
That is really pretty. And that uneven live edge looks fantastic. For the nice card for bouquet of flowers in it on the seat on my kitchen table would be beautiful.
Despite not being as large as you would've liked it to be, I still think it came out wonderfully! Also, I find it humorous how, during the sped up portions, there are times where it just looks like you're turning invisible wood due to its shape.
I honestly think this may be my favorite yet! The live edge at the top of this shape is so beautiful. I was hoping that some of the moss would make it to the final edge but alas!
That is superb. The wood is wonder-full with the graining and the depth of color on the bark line. I find it so interesting how strange pieces with real 'issues' turn out to be damn beautiful.
Sometimes I wonder how would be the smell of the place, if me here just cutting some plank already leaves a delightful scent, imagine chipping away the grains of wood from the piece?
Over 1M subscribers I’m not sure you’d see this comment Andy but you sure turn some bearish wood pieces. This looks a little dangerous so I give you a lot of credit for turning out some beautiful work. Love this. Stupid autocorrect 😡 I meant beautiful 🤦🏼♀️
Another beautiful and *interesting* project. If you had noticed how bad the rot was earlier, could you have used cactus juice or other stabilizer or resin in a vacuum chamber and/or pressure pot to stabilize the bottom? Would you have? Just from the vid, it looks like you had to abandon some really pretty spalting as well as size.
Stunning work as always from you Andy. Love the shape & the way you exposed all the character in the grain. What did you finish the bark with, it looks beautiful!
Hi Andy the wood is lovely I like the grain and bark it looks awesome. The vase is magnificent and unique it has lots of character and I'm glad you kept some of the bark on the edge it makes the vase even more magnificent. What do you use on the vase and bark to finish it of as it really stands out. Amanda xx
Color and grain, great to look at.I already knew that little rot was not going to stop you.good little video as always.continue on sir continue on.👍👍👍😎😎😎🪵🪵🪵
the man of mystery does it again, beautiful piece, thanks for sharing
I guess you always run the risk of getting unfortunate surprises while turning a piece of wood but you always find a way to make them beautiful. 👏👏❤️
I really enjoy your innovative mounting orientations. Almost never see you do a “standard bowl”, and I love it! Keep it up.
Love the content Andy, still my favorite 2x speed channel on UA-cam
And here I was thinking I was the only one who did that
@@Thatoneguy48147me too!

Thanks so much 👍 and happy birthday
I like your choice of off grain orientation and how it gives the piece lines that repeat the rim and body shape. Nicely done! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Absolutely gorgeous! The finish you applied brings out the deep veins of the wood! Fantastic work!!
This piece is especially breathtaking. There are so many areas of interest! Thank you for sharing your artistry with us. ❤

Yes! Plan B! You could hear Andy's mind clicking away after poking around on the soft spots!❤❤❤
Incredible to see the chatoyancy bending so beautifully with the shape!
Glad you stuck with it and got past the rot. Lovely piece of wood. Loads of character. Well done!

I did not think there was much hope for that block of wood. Wow! There was beauty in it after all and you found it!

What an awesome design 👍👍
Gorgeous graining
Great save on this piece! Just sanding sealer to stabilize? My wife just adores the live and natural edge stuff - we need to do more
Thanks.. yes I got away with using sanding sealer, I sometimes use wood rot hardener if the wood is really bad
Another beautiful and *interesting* project.
