Hello Andy! I am from distant Belarus. I have been watching for two years and continue to watch miracles. which you do! I carefully watched how you sharpen and, as they say, I already know how to sharpen myself! 😄 I bought a small machine yet, and oh God ... they told me that I succeeded the first time! And it did not happen without your participation! Thank you very much!🙂👍
Andy, you have the best eye in the craft, that you saw that amazing piece hiding in that funky blank is true artistry. Thank you so much for all you do for our craft!
"Turned" into a very delicate piece, love the live edge & that slow motion on ur video is great, l watch a variety of wood turning guys, it's relaxing viewing, ur all very different, but brilliant 👏
No way. Poop on a log indeed. Here I am, looking at the beginning log, thinking you're looking at it sideways, that the "poop" should be the top. Once again, you show your skill and artist vision. Stunning! Thank you for sharing with us. ❤
Not gonna lie, I am disappointed it wasn't a fossilized poop on some wood or such, but I still love it. You really capture the natural beauty of wood and preserve the weird aspects instead of cutting them away like some people do. I really appreciate that. It's super cool how the burl created a burned look in this, as well as the contrast between the parts that are smooth wood and burl!
Me and my kids watch your channel and sir… I must say… This title absolutely TICKLED my son to no end. Keep making videos! We’ll definitely keep watching!
Hi Andy, I just love this piece. I know the inside isn't supposed to be the best part, but the grain on the inside is just beautiful. Love your work. Keep it up!!!
Hi Andy magnificent and unique piece, i like the cherry burl it has so much groovyness about it, you can always turn something that people would put on the fire into a masterpiece. Youhave a fabulous imagination and great talent. Amanda xx
I love the contrast of the piece. You have one side that’s smooth and shiny and seems to almost have some curling in it, and then you rotate it around to the gnarled, live edge burl. It’s beautiful!
anyone other than a woodturner would have thought nothing of this piece to start with However You any many others of us, see the potential in it and do a great job and make an art piece out of it, as always Andy great work Mate
1. Every time you start working on an uneven chunk of wood I think, "that's got to be brutal on his hands." 2. I like how you've been changing the playback speed of the videos to get different effects. It reminds me of the wagon wheels spinning backwards on the TV westerns of the 60s and asking my dad, "Why?" 3. Another gorgeous piece! I bet that tree had no idea of it's inner vase waiting to come out. 😉
This is a really random note, but whatever you managed to do with the framerate so that the log only sort of spun was one of the coolest things I've seen in a while. You were able to make out the parts of the wood shaving off as it was spinning, it was such a cool effect.
Love it! I find it amazing how you (and some other turners I've seen) can "see" options for odd shapes, especially when you have to do part of the turning on one axis then change the axis!
What a beautiful piece, you’re giving me inspiration to try something similar myself, it certainly wont be anywhere as good as your work but, practice makes perfect.😊
Hi Andy, You have the COOLEST workshop !! I love it when you carve invisible things, or at least they seem invisible !!! This is a really pretty piece, Andy. Something I'd like to find in your shop, but the shop is on a break, still !! Booo.
Thanks Jeremy.. are you looking at my old etsy shop ? I sell pieces from my website andyphillip.com I haven't listed this piece yet but it will be soon 👍
As a photographer, I'll often save copies of Photoshop projects at different stages of development; each stage having its own desirable characteristics. I bet there are times when you wish you could do that with your wood projects. It's fascinating how projects can have their own life and evolve differently than expected.
The contrast of the wild patterned burl with the smooth shiny solid, is amazing!
Couldn’t put it better!
The vessel is stunningly beautiful. Thank you for your perseverance. You found a wonderful piece of art hiding in that poop on a log!
Thankyou
Absolutely beautiful! It went from a hunchback piece of wood to a gorgeous princess with a Pearl gown.
Fantastic work!!
I didn't read the pre amble and almost quit watching thinking you were going to use resin. Glad you didn't, it is a beautiful piece.
Always amazed when you turn such a weird shape into something so groovy. Nice one, yet again, Mr P 👍
Many thanks!
Groovy is the correct word FlyDrowner
@@arabellachampaq689 Why, thank you ma'am!
I would never have thought "poop on a log" could work as clickbait, but you managed to pull it off! Lol Fantastic piece Andy!
🤣 thanks
Right? 😂❤
I am 55 yr old and this is one of the most uniquely beautiful items I've ever laid eyes on...well done❤

My husband used to turn hollow vessels. I love this❤❤❤ Great job.
I absolutely love this one with so much character to it!!
Word can't describe the beauty of that piece of wood.
Beautiful. The color and patterns are so varied and change with the angle looking at it. I’d never tire of learning it.

A beautiful piece!!!
❤️❤️❤️👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Imagination and skill on display with this masterpiece, bravo
Wow, as always... stunning... I love the shimmer on the smooth side. Beautiful
Just masterful work to expose, enhance, and celebrate the amazing beauty of the wood! Always so happy to see a new video pop up on your channel.
Thank you very much!
As always a thing of beauty love the colours in the wood
Agree, the apricot color in the wood SO nice. Came out beautifully as always.
"Turned" into a very delicate piece, love the live edge & that slow motion on ur video is great, l watch a variety of wood turning guys, it's relaxing viewing, ur all very different, but brilliant 👏
Truly beautiful, but I couldn't help giggling at the end. One pristine side, one gnarly side made me think of Two-Face from Batman.
What a beautiful piece! The swirls on one side with smooth on the other is facinating and lovely.
Always amazes me how you can look at such a weird piece of wood and imagine the finished item! Contrast in the sides is brilliant
Thank you
Love how you had the wood silly string on this one instead of the resin kind
Absolutely stunning. This is someone’s prize posession
Absolutely beautiful Andy.
That's absolutely gorgeous 🥰
Wow that is gorgeous inside and out👍🏻❤️

A beautiful piece! Great vision to find that shape in that block of wood. Hats off!
Around 5:43, I was struck by how this piece was forming up.
I really like this one, well done.
That is beautiful. Well done, Andy!

Absolutely incredible!
Great job, a true work of art.
Wow! This piece is so very lovely! You really did right by it!
I love it! The colour is somewhat reminiscent of ancient Greek pottery, but the fantasticated texture is like nothing on earth except your work.
Thankyou 👍
Exquisite! The markings in the wood stand out beautifully. Yet another classic!
Another stunning piece!🤩
The burl figure is amazing. Great job!
Me and my kids watch your channel and sir… I must say… This title absolutely TICKLED my son to no end. Keep making videos! We’ll definitely keep watching!
😂 Thank you!
Hi Andy, I just love this piece. I know the inside isn't supposed to be the best part, but the grain on the inside is just beautiful. Love your work. Keep it up!!!
Yet another absolutely stunning piece ... the contrast between the burl and normal growth is amazing 👍
I'm not anti-resin by any stretch. But, I'm not sure I have ever been happier to see a piece not get cast in resin. Excellence!
I love it -- What a beautiful piece of art!
Hi Andy magnificent and unique piece, i like the cherry burl it has so much groovyness about it, you can always turn something that people would put on the fire into a masterpiece. Youhave a fabulous imagination and great talent. Amanda xx
Thanks Amanda 👍
Work of art as per usual Andy! 👍👍👍
I love the contrast of the piece. You have one side that’s smooth and shiny and seems to almost have some curling in it, and then you rotate it around to the gnarled, live edge burl. It’s beautiful!
Andy, this beautiful work of art is powerful and passionate! Absolutely stunning, inside and out!
Many thanks Chris 👍
Another amazing Peace, this is pure Art 😮
Your editing on this was psychedelic! The beginning sequence was trippy! I loved it!
Glad you liked it!!
Another beautiful piece 👍

I would have found it interesting to look at as it was and I’m not a woodturner.

No sign of any poop now!😂 A gorgeous end result. I love a raw edge, gives a piece so many dimensions! ❤
Thanks
Wow! Just, wow! It would have been so disappointing to see that ruined with plastic. Thanks so much!
Very creative love it 🎉❤
I been wanting to see what kind of prep and condition the goes through before goes into the lathe. The best part is the attention given!
Lol I thought you found a real poop on the log...😅
Anyway, I think it's amazing how you can visualize the finished piece! So beautiful!
Thats gorgeous! And i bet the smell of cherrywood in the workshop was divine!
What a beautiful piece, Andy! It begs to be displayed upon a very s-l-o-w-l-y rotating turntable. 👍
Thanks 👍

I've managed to do it a few times ... this one is cool ua-cam.com/video/zoy4GrvxB5I/v-deo.html
What a lovely _Dragon Egg Holder..._ The hard part is getting it to fit. 😉
😮 I just realized how much more care you have to be when turning these asymmetric pieces compared to the symmetric ones 😅
The woodcraft, photography and the editing are all so incredible.
That Rutland bandsaw is pretty.
Absolutely beautiful! You are so talented and gifted!
Thank you so much!
Nice 👍

I did not see this extraordinary beauty coming!
Very beautiful Andy I love it and you did an amazing job turning it!!!!
I enjoyed your video and I gave it a Thumbs Up
Many thanks

Amazing work❤
Beautiful. Cherry is a beautiful, and under used wood in my opinion, be it burl or straight grain.
Beautiful piece of wood turned into a work of art. Very nicely done. Thanks for sharing!
Thank you very much!
Uh...Yeah
I may need to create new words to express my excitement for your creations my friend!
No poop on a long. Once again you have created another piece of artisan craftsmanship
Your channel never disappoints, sir.
Over 1 mil subs in 6 years impressive.
I just get minus subs now , haven't gained any subs for over a year ...
Excellent piece of wood and excellent workmanship
Absolutely gorgeous! You took a poop on a log to a beautiful art piece that is majestic! Who would have thought!?! Fantastic work!

As soon S you started shaping it, I knew I was gonna love it. Prettiest poop ever!

I was expecting it to literally look like a turd on a log. Hahah. This in my opinion is SOOO much better!!
Only Andy can turn a jobby. This looks really nice, AP.😊
Thanks 👍
Wow.. What a beautiful piece.
I'm lovin' this one!
