Loved your reaction ~lol~ I have a degree in music and toured and worked in the music industry most of my career. Yeah, these guys are above and beyond talented. Glad to see you appreciate them as much as I do. They are truly amazing.

They've said that when they set out to write a song they don't bring their instruments - just pad and paper. Once they've designed it, they add the instruments. All of them are world class. Amazing.

      Interesting, ey?
I always think that even on their paper pads, their songs would look more like a jazz-rock-funk SYMPHONY! 😉
Especially in this track, -or their Samsung Galaxy ringtone version!!

Your reaction was very genuine. Your stank face was exactly my reaction when first listening to this masterpiece. Everyone is displaying a masterclass on their instrument. Usually, a sad song would make me cry. Still, I get emotional listening to this epic performance because the level of musicianship and the dedication to their craft is so humbling. I want to thank and hug them all for inspiring me to improve my game.

Yes it's real. Arron writes almost all the music including Henricks BASS lines. Jonah usually does ALL the vocals. They are mates from the Royal College of Music Stockholm where they studied composition and Jazz. You need to dig much deeper. They are musicians for musicians but accessible to all.

The string instrument you hear almost all the way through is a Brazilian berimbau. Great reaction to one of the greatest bands in the world. A Swedish group of friends playing together since grade school, through their time at the Royal Music Acadamy in Stockholm. They blew up about 10 years ago when Quincy Jones added them to his management team. They produce everything themselves. You are just beginning a wild, unreal ride down the Dirty Loops rabbithole. Enjoy! 💙💛

Amazing to them live! I was lucky to see them last week in L.A. I saw an interview (not sure from how long so) where Henrik said this is his favorite song to play live. Not sure if that's changed, but I imagine he still loves it.

Aliens :D Thank you for being appropriately mind-blown by this. That comment about Jonah makes a lot of sense - that is exactly how a lot of good Jazz musicians write melodies. Sing it in their mind and then play it at the same time. I bet you could sing any however insane melody to him (and likely any of them 3) and he'd play it back to you exactly, probably making it better by adding improvised stuff over the top in the process lol

Pro level? Dirty Loops are Post Pro level, man! 😂🤣😂
Yeah, loved your story about THAT maths genius kid.
That’s how it really feels, for most of us…
And after being blown away by Hit Me, you’d thing that was the ultimate, but a few years later they come back with having worked shit out ;) Wonder what your friend, the producer, would say to this ;)
Hope your headache wasn’t there to stay.
Check out their track “World On Fire”, a mad flirt with MJ ☺️ as well as “Breakdown” and “Rock You”.
Or for some light relief “Coffee Break is Over”, -I’d love to see your face when listening to that one 🤣
    Cheers bro 👍🤘✌️

Oh yeah and that instrument in the background, going all the way through, it’s a Brazilian berimbau.
Dirty Loops have an excellent percussionist on board, Andreas Ekstedt, who might be responsible for coming up with a lot of Latin-style percussion on their tracks. Just guessing.

Also interesting: you’ve said the way Jonah plays the keys is like he sings, almost like an extension of the way he sings his riffs.
I’ve heard other people feel the same way about that.
And someone guessed that he’s swallowed a keyboard, the way he sings such clean riffs ;)
But to me it’s more how he expresses his emotions in the same way, whether he plays or sings….
      Great comment 👍
