Just replayed kotor 1 and doing my first playthrough of 2 now, so far it just seems a lot more tedious then the first game, idk if I’m just not clicking with the story or if it just starts slow, I’m on nar shaddaa now I’m still just kinda ehh about it, does the story pickup?
This was my first time watching your channel, but I've already subbed. I'm very much looking forward to your upcoming reviews of the other games you mentioned. Nicely done!
I feel like the first one is better, I’m playing the 2nd one for the first time right now and it just seems like it’s kind of dry for some reason, I hope the story picks up after nar shaddaa now I'm
You, Sir just earned another follower... I'm looking forward for you Neverwinter Nights 2 review. I loved that game when I was younger and back then was one of the best games I've ever played. (I only had one game breaking bug, which was fixed quickly.)
@LockPlays it was really good. I did feel like Darth Nihilus was a little on the weak side. I actually thought sion was much harder to defeat. I really wanted to see Nihilus destroy a planet, but overall, it was a good game, and for $10, I feel like I got my money's worth
KOTOR 2 is a game that I can play countless times and still enjoy the story, characters, world building and gameplay. One of (if not the) best Star Wars games ever made.
Kotor 2 is one of those games that has a bit of a slow early game, but it's worth getting through. That's when it becomes one of the greatest games of all time.
Kotor 2 is without a doubt my favourite game of all time. I cant imagine my life without this game. I have wanted another Star Wars RPG in the same realm of Kotor 2. The depth, the story, the characters, the philosophy its all great! They could even make it a prequel to Kotor set during the Mandalorian Wars or during the reign of Exar Kun. So many possibilities for Star Wars RPGs and yet nobody takes a shot a making one.
Already did Dark Side playthrough mid-2024 as my first Kotor 2 gameplay, now I recently finished the lightside playthrough 2 weeks ago. As of now I'm currently on the Restored Content Mod of Kotor currently seeing what it's like while also grinding to get the rest of the achievements (54/57) Edit: I can tell you all that Kotor 2 is very much worth playing.
Played this game 20 years ago on release day on Xbox when I was a teenager and I didn't like it as much, I always preferred kotor 1 which is more "classic" with the ending etc. But redoing kotor 2 the past days (with the cut droid planet) and I have really to recognize the dialogues, the dark/depressive atmosphere is really part of the charm and are incredibly well-made and resonate much more with me now that I'm an adult. You can tell this episode was made to be the "Empire Strike back" style game of a trilogy. soooooo sad they didn't do 3. I know aspyr planned to do the remake of kotor 1/2 then do a proper 3 but it will never happen I suppose now. 1 still stays my fav tho
I feel like it's kinda worth noting the workshop for this game is giga broken, it's best to do it one of two ways either do all your mods manually, OR run the tslrcm mod through workshop and then install all your mods into the directory that the mod is in. Kotor2 can have moment where it just randomly decides yeah I'm going to break with the steam workshop and then you get a whole bunch of mods that don't work together. (Basically you get double ups of game files and it can basically come down to lucky dip if it's gonna pick the right ones.)
KotOR & SW 7: Traditional Star Wars. KotOR II & SW 8: Tries to be different. SWTOR & SW 9: Somehow ______ Returned. The Difference in each: First Case - One is near Perfect and the other is Meh. Second Case - One Has the time, love and energy (Edit: Despite being massively rushed) to be a Masterpiece and the other doesn’t develop anything enough for anyone to care and failed the execution. Third Case - Somehow Revan Returns is far better than Somehow Palpatine Returns.
PS: I wished I could play some of those Obsidian Entertainment games like Kotor 2 or NW2 once more blind... but sadly it clicks less for me when you already know the big twist.
Sorry but complimenting the combat of Kotor2 is the biggest L take ever. The whole combat is broken and the biggest flaw the game has. When pausing, issued commands are forgotten by the game when you switch characters. In Kotor 1 that works no problem.
THE GOAT RPG
Hell yea man.

Diablo 2 good sir.
That "hello, its me again" hits like crack everytime
Only 22 minutes?? Lock, you've gone soft.
Also, this video could be 2 seconds long, "yes, it's worth playing. Now go."
exactly

It doesn’t matter how many years has been, but this game never gets old to play
I feel like the first one is better, I’m playing the 2nd one for the first time right now and it just seems like it’s kind of dry for some reason, I hope the story picks up after nar shaddaa now I'm
Love the vids keep them coming lock

How did you like it?

Love your storytelling. Do your thing!!
That skit at the beginning had me going insane. Lol

Welp... now I want to play it again. Thanks, Lockmort.
Yooo I’m immediately seeing Deadwood and The Wire on a KOTOR 2 video. This is the algorithm doing The Lord’s work.
I’m literally playing a run through on the switch right now. Goated game

Hell yeah! I'm excited to replay it at some point later this year and have a Light Side playthrough. The Dark Side one was so much fun.
Instructions unclear
Video keeps restarting my phone
Hahaha!
This video had me realize I wasn't subbed. Notifications on baby!!!
Hoping for a remake one day! Another great video btw!
I love your content.
Now, GIVE ME THAT NEVERWINTER 1&2 video!!
I FUCKING LOVE THIS GAME!
Lockmort videos make me happy 😊
That first five minutes is awesome. I LOVE the reboot jokes.

oh man, I wish I could help you, I've played on PC only.
Same save file?? Try starting new game I’ve been playing KOTOR 2 on switch for years and never had crashing issues

The force is strong with this one
I hope they remake this game!
Na just fix the bugs and make it look better and it would be insane as is
Unnecessary

Kotor 2 > Kotor 1 tbh.
@ Agreed. As much as I love KotOR, KotOR II just hits in a way few other games have ever hit.
As someone who's currently running a KOTOR 2 Let's Play, yes.
I’m playing Kotor 2 TSLRCM as we speak. On my iPad.
Yes, yes it is
Short answer: YESSSS
In the words of the internet 15 years ago: first!
Masterclass game
The Clone Wars is the best Star Wars content.
First time playing KOTOR 1 and 2 was on XBOX never had issues with them LOL
Hell yeah kcd is coming
Worth playing on any day of any year.
Short answer: IT’S ALWAYS WORTH PLAYING
Me who just beat it in December 2024
Only if you don’t have access to Kotor1 or have some good mods
0:01 yes (sorry, spoilers)
the answer to this question will always be yes
Weird. I played both of them a shit ton on Xbox and I didn't have many problems
Only thing i dislike about it is sometimes bad ai
PS: I wished I could play some of those Obsidian Entertainment games like Kotor 2 or NW2 once more blind... but sadly it clicks less for me when you already know the big twist.
you dont need 22 minutes to explain to me when the simple answer is "yes, it always worth to replay kotor 2" ;)
Everytime someone talks about this game, they always have a dozen mods. It's almost like the base game is in fact bad
Steam vanilla version is really good now, since it got patched a couple years ago
What’s even happening in the first 3 minutes of this video?
Great vid but please, never to that error skit again 🤣
Belg time
1:29 riot will start
Answer: Yes
YES
Yes
As another gamer who knows Baldurs Gate 2 is a top 10 of all time, and way better than BG3- when will you dare to play Persona 5?
One day, Quezcatol... one day!
Persona bad
But what if The Last Jedi IS already good???
Even better!
Its not. You're welcome.
@ Thanks for clearing that up.
