I follow a few channels on YT pretty closely. The content varies widely. The common denominator is likable people worth caring about. I am so thankful to you for sharing your situation with us, and I’m very thankful you are both well and safe.
really appreciate the kind words! we are almost back to normal, just gotta straighten some stuff up downstairs. 🙏
Indeed!!!
I just found this channel cos of the storm and will be following for the same reasons you mentioned above
The Scourge of
Climate Deniers
(i.e. CharlatCons)
Well put. My sentiments, exactly.
So thankful that you guys are ok! Thank you for the inside look at the storm, it was super interesting and informative. My thoughts and prayers are with all those affected by the hurricane as they begin the clean up and repair process! Take care and stay safe!
indeed! thank you!
@@KeyWestWaterman when waters clear of course
@@penndunaway the canal looked like a mess!!! 0 visibility!!
We here on Patricia Street weren't so lucky. Thank God no one was hurt. Material things can be replaced.
LOL - what a strange thing to say, they had the option of leaving...
I’m so glad the way it went for us but unfortunately so many people can’t say the same, this hurricane was pure devastation for many families. Stay safe brother great footage
It was a bad one for sure. Breaks my heart to see all the loss.
thanks for the update, glad you guys skirted the worst of it and minimal damage and prayers to all those out there facing damages ! Stay safe!
indeed, we were some of the lucky ones
Thanks for the updates! Hopefully everyone else down there is as lucky as you guys 🙏
hopefully!
So happy to hear your safe! Sorry to all of those who didn't fare as well they have my prayers 🙏 😢
indeed 🙏
Everybody I know has a relative or close friend living in Florida. This is news more than entertainment and I personally appreciate the “state of the keys” after Ian message.
My mother was in the direct path at Bradenton. Miraculously for her it went south and east by about 80 miles. She is bone dry, full power snd no damage at all. Her husband did have a medical emergency at the shelter and had to be hospitalized. No word on his outcome. At 93 anything could be wrong but hopeful. Anyhow glad you all had minimal issues and as always. Much appreciated. Thank you.
wow she really got lucky, hope hes okay. we did just find considering.
@@KeyWestWaterman oh yeah you all did. I appreciate the grateful no whining attitude you both have. It would be easy to get down after something like that. You all inspire so many.👍👍👍
Your videos have been so much fun to watch! So glad I found this channel! Your voice is very soothing during the narration part of the videos. Very relaxing to watch. Keep up the great work! Paddlin' Madeline is awesome too! So glad you guys are okay after the storm! Much love!
love to hear you enjoy the vids! thanks for tuning in 🙏
So glad you guys are good..thought of you two often!!!

There's the funky truck outside the Hogfish!!! 🤣 We been there! Thank you again for that suggestion. One of the best meals ever.
haha!
Glad y’all are ok. Thanks for sharing. Stay safe. And prayers for the folks in Florida affected by Ian
🙏
Firstly thank God you two are ok and made through without severe damage and still have power. And Thank you sooo much for sharing this actual footage in real time. Be safe ❤
we really got lucky for sure 🙏
Glad you guys are good. WAY better to over prepare than underprepare. My heart goes out to all of the people who have lost their homes and also the undercarriage of your truck
absolutely! and indeed, so sad
Glad you had a minimal impact, hopefully everyone in central FL gets through this safely. Thanks for the update!
agreed!
Glad you guys are ok. Thanks for updating!

I’m so glad you and Madalynn are safe. I’m sorry those on the north side got hit so hard and continued prayers for those getting the full brunt of the hurricane. Stay safe brother…
🙏
So happy you've not suffered badly during the storm. We messaged you via another of your recent posts stating our concerns for you and Madelyn. Wishing you calm seas and insignificant damages.
very fortunate!
I knew you'd come through with a Hurricane Ian post-storm update! Great job, per usual.
haha
So glad you guys came through mostly unscathed. Praying for members of your community that we not so lucky. Thank you for your channel, look forward to it every week!
yea alot had it much worse. 🙏
Paradise comes at a cost from time to time, glad ya all were spared of any real damage. Prayers go out to your friends and neighbors dealing with all the water damage.
You see sailboats with their sails on ,,, expecting a nice insurance reward !

Watching from southern Australia in 14’c cold and wishing everyone in Florida the best.
Thanks for your videos Aaron and so glad you guys are doing ok.
🙏
Glad you made it through with minimal impact. Thanks for documenting this. Stay safe!
def got lucky!
Glad you guys are safe. I thought for sure it would have been worse. Prayers for everyone !
all good!
Glad that you fared pretty well. Ian has been blowing pretty good here(St Petersburg) all day. It's amazing to see how it sucked the water out of Tampa Bay. Just hope for the people along the bays that the surge as Ian passes isn't to bad. We ate at the hog fish last year when we were in key west. Sorry to see the damage to such a beautiful place
yea its pretty creepy when it does that, stay safe!
@@KeyWestWaterman thanks guess we are getting into the worst of it now.
Thanks again for sharing. So glad things worked out for you all.
got really lucky!
Very relieved for you guys, love your content and appreciate this footage and your neighborly concern. Proper planning on your part.... and lots of luck and prayers answered. Ian just left our area up in Orlando as well, we got spared the worst of the winds by far this time, but the flooding, even up here, is insane... Wishing the best for the 2.6 mill people here in FL without power, hang in there.
we got lucky for sure! happy to hear yall did well
Glad y’all are okay and your house was spared. Hope the boat is safe!
boat is well also!
Glad all is well for you 2. Really appreciate the update. That Timelapse was nuts…once it broke the concrete and began creeping closer to the house I said “That’s a big load of NOPE!”
Humbling feeling sitting there and not being able to do a darn thing.
Key West Waterman 1 - Ian 0
yea its a very strange feeling, hurry up and wait.
Glad to see a update on how you are doing. I was watching some news feeds and worry about where it was going. Keep you and the residents KeyWest in my prayers. Be safe.
we are good! thank you!
🙏 prayers for all in Florida. Thankful you faired as well you did.🙌
got lucky for sure!
Glad you two made it so well , kills me to see the live aboard vessels like that . People got to take storms serious 😕😔🇺🇸
such a bummer
I am glad that yall faired so well. Thanks for the update.
absolutely!
Thank you for the insta posts and this vid. So great to know y’all are safe and didn’t lose the boats or suffer any major damage to the house. We had a fair amount of damage to my home in Hugo in SC. Rebuilt and all is good, but I understand the stress that goes with these storms. Take care you guys ❤️
I was living in Georgetown when Hugo came through, It was pretty bad.
def a fortunate storm for us. happy to come out as we did
thank you guys for sharing your experience.
happy to!
Thanks for sharing. It is important for people to see the power of these storms for both preparation and evacuation. I live in a little town outside of New Orleans called Luling. We were ground zero for IDA and live in a slab home just above sea level-very different from a hurricane rated -elevated home. We were without power for 22 days and many folks like my neighbor have still not been able to move back into their homes for over a year later. No appreciable services (GAS, Food, Water for a couple of months). I recall the horror of seeing the neighborhood that looked like a war zone upon my return. Our contractor did not complete the needed repairs until January 22 and we had to spend another 3 weeks out of the house during the worst of the sheetrock work. Not from flooding just wind and rain. The moral of the story is you need to understand the risks and limitations of staying or leaving. You are in a good place with type of home you have and experience in dealing with storms. But people need to fully appreciate their individual circumstance, the power of these storms and prepare or get out accordingly. Again in the wake of this storm as in Katrina we will see many deaths and heartache that could have been avoided if folks would only think through the decision to stay or go. Regards Steve
they def are humbling every time!
Glad to see you guys made out ok during the storm. Keep up the good content coming.
thank you!
So glad you two are safe and DIDNT loose anything I will keep everyone in my prayers!!!
couldnt have been more lucky!

Living on the coast in Texas City, Texas I know what y'all are going through and how thankful y'all must be for the minimal damage.
I hope the ants aren't too bad
happy to make it by without any real damage.
So glad you two are ok. I'm hoping your friends and family are as well. Some folks might be saying you shouldn't be out riding when roads are flooded but I feel that you know your area that well that you and Maddie were not in danger. Thanks for taking your time to update us.
def not our first rodeo
Holy Shit!! I’m glad to see you guys are doing ok and were prepped. My family on the gulf side is struggling still. But so glad to see one of my favorite UA-camrs and the beautiful fiancé is all good and well

Thanks for the update. I was down near you last spring caught lots of fish! Amazing place. Very glad yall were not hit too hard. My brother is in Port Charlotte and i have not heard from him since this morning. I'm sure their ok but they got hit hard. The house has lots of damage and don't know much more. Thanks you guys ,for the information . I wishing all the best for you and for everyone in Florida !
I lived ín Key West, for 10 years, lived next to Hug Fish for 2 years and survived Katrina ,Wilma and a couple of Hurricanes. It was not easy . But I love Key West , and all Florida ! My heart is always there.

Let us pray for the people who are experiencing difficult times with this dangerous and fierce hurricane. I send many blessings to the American people and to other nationalities. Greetings from my humble Venezuela.
indeed!
Thanks for the video. We live in Safe Harbour and haven’t returned for the season yet. Your trip to Hogfish was very informative. I’ll say hello when we return in a few weeks. Glad your house and boat did well.
got hit pretty good down there, but most did okay in the water.
Unreal! Very happy you guys are safe!
us too!
Thanks for informative video on how you lived through Ian! This is my first time coming across your videos. 😊
glad you enjoyed it!
Glad that y’all made it through the storm! Stay safe!!!
🙏
You definitely dodged a bullet , good thing your living space is well elevated . Thx for the updates and glad you faired well .
we did for sure!
I appreciate you and your wife, working together as solid unit. You two are blessed brother. I just hope that all of the single ladies of Florida and the single men of Florida find each other, because in times like these, no one should be alone. Two heads are better than one, and women gives men strength as men give women strength, and together, they both move with purpose, focus and can move mountains in times like these.
I sent a communication to all of my military brothers and sisters living down there to just do what we're trained to do in crucial and catastrophic times. They're on it!
amen! noone I'd rather have by my side in these situations!
Props to you and your lady for being so prepared 👏🏼👏🏼 Stay safe.
we will!
Glad to hear you made it again.
🙏
First of all, prayers out to those who've lost property, livlihoods, and their lives. As a resident of Wilmington NC for the past 10 years or more, I have to admit, I do not understand how people continue to be "caught off-guard" during these hurricanes. You guys obviously were prepared, but how others continually choose not be, I will never understand. I really enjoy your videos, I'm sorry you had to make one under these circumstances, but I'm glad you're ok.
its shifted alot more than they said it was going to, 30-40 mph winds are a winter cold front for us. 70-80 is a different ballgame. The reports showed it would be the lesser.
@@KeyWestWaterman they are definitely unpredictable good point you guys stay safe again love the content
Thank you so much for letting us know how you are I'm glad you are all safe
absolutely!
So glad you guys are safe I have friends in Key Largo where it came up to 2 1/2 feet into the yard and into the street I lived down there for 40 years now live in Ocala I keep in touch with all my friends down there so happy we love your videos we watch you all the time thanks for such great content God bless
wow they got more than we did it sounds like
You are both beautiful and blessed. Thank you for sharing your area. God bless everyone and I love everyone.
🙏
Good to hear you guys are OK. Keep posting videos!!
will do!
We took the center of the eye directly over my house in Cape Coral. I've been through every hurricane for 40 years and nothing compares to this storm. 8 hours of hurricane force winds with gusts over 160mph for a few hours. My new Gulf access home did not flood but others were not so lucky. We lost power for 11 days but many lost everything so I am not complaining. Pine Island, Ft. Myers Beach, Sanibel and the barrier islands were all decimated. We are heading to Key West in a few weeks to have a beer and relax for a few days. We definitely need a break!
I heard it was terrible over there, really hate to hear it. reminds me of irma from what I've heard. love to hear yall did okay. prayers to the rest.
Thanks for sharing, I´m happy for you an Madeleine !
We got lucky! 🙏🏻
