Interesting. That makes sense. I’m from California. I always wondered what happens to larger boats with a ton of windage when winds are over 100 knots at the dock. Even smaller boats too though. Knowing hurricanes are fairly regular occurrence in these places how does anyone keep a boat, especially a sailboat? Do they have to take the mast off multiple times a year. Hooray for the Coast Guard! All those other maniacs are doing a good job of getting through the waves, but they are still maniacs for being out there in the first place. Especially that guy kite-surfing. Insane! 🙀
Maybe someone can explain this. We’ve all heard about this hurricane approaching for at least several days and maybe a week. On the news they’ve showed video of marina’s and the boats really getting thrashed around. Some of the boats are super expensive, large center consoles. My question is, why wouldn’t you take the boat and run it’s up the coast, out of the direct path? I know it would cost a lot in fuel but what’s the alternative, let it get beat to heck and file an insurance claim? If they don’t total your boat and decide to repair it, it’s never the same as it was new.
Let us pray for the people who are experiencing difficult times with this dangerous and fierce hurricane. I send many blessings to the American people and to other nationalities. Greetings from my humble Venezuela.
Would’ve been neat to see where these boats all ended up after the hurricane passed through. I wonder if all these people took them and got out of harms way further out in the ocean somewhere away from the storm or if they all got caught off guard and was swept up with all the rest of the boats?

Depending on the boat, that 12-15 foot storm surge will do much more damage in harbour vs riding out the Hurricane behind an island if you can find one.
What hurricane, those boats were having fun.
I am always amazed about loose lines and bumpers trailing and being bashed about. Great seamanship, guys. Maybe, studying a chapter or two of Chapman Piloting & Seamanship might be beneficial...
I you head out in that storm, make sure Mary Ann and Ginger are on the boat.
Hooray for the Coast Guard!
All those other maniacs are doing a good job of getting through the waves, but they are still maniacs for being out there in the first place.
Especially that guy kite-surfing. Insane! 🙀
A fresh breeze and a bit of a chop, no worries.
Typical Einsteins, who goes out on a boat during a hurricane 🌀.
That last boat’s name is “no matter what”….how fitting 😂
I find it surprising the guys on the second boat thought once about their fishing trip let alone twice!
Those Coast Guard short boats are so bad ass
Deadliest catch! Let’s go!
I don't know why maybe it's rare but I love storm shots like this the more chaotic the better.. but hope everyone ok..
I like being in the heavy weather but there is a Limit above which is Masochistic Insanity!!!
@@victoriaredsky3859 not me for me it's relaxing almost jittery because there so much going on I want film it all

Good Luck...Aloha
These people have rocks for brains
Let us pray for the people who are experiencing difficult times with this dangerous and fierce hurricane. I send many blessings to the American people and to other nationalities. Greetings from my humble Venezuela.
If I had a big boat I would be on my way to the Bahamas to wait out the storm.
Would’ve been neat to see where these boats all ended up after the hurricane passed through. I wonder if all these people took them and got out of harms way further out in the ocean somewhere away from the storm or if they all got caught off guard and was swept up with all the rest of the boats?
Storm didn't do shit in St. Pete. I'm going fishin! Fish on!
you know its rough if the BTL girls are not full throttle hammering through the inlet
😂😂😂😂
I was in a category 4 storm on a 1,000 ft tanker. Not something I wish to do again.
Courage et force à vous de France. Prenez soins de vous et que Dieu vous protége. AMEN
The “No Matter What” was holding true to her namesake.
Oh my 🙀 Be safe Wavy Boats. We were thinking about you guys. 🙏❤
Thanks Swiffer. We are bunkered down over here. 👍
@@WavyBoats Good to know. 🌀👍
@@MichaelRei99 I realize that Mike. But they are still our Furriends. 🌀🙏👍
I’m a builder mover retired now but we would be so busy in the winter jacking up houses near our beach areas that get flooded a couple times a year with big storms . It baffles me seeing houses without stilts washed away it’s mandatory in Massachusetts or insurance won’t cover you . I’m sure there’s grandfathered in peeps
Looks terrifying! I sure as heck wouldn’t be out on the water in those conditions. Yikes ! But I am a big coward
Atleast you are a smart coward.
Your not a coward, you have common sense.
@@holg3070 Exactly! I wouldn't, either.
Have to say that big Sports fisherman at 3:15 was nice and dry.
I feel sorry for cameraman being out in these awful conditions
He chooses too ND makes money doing it
Nobody forced him!
Idiots choice
@@grahamjordan1040 - So judgemental. There’s such a thing as knowledgeable persons who can keep themselves safe in these conditions. It was not a Category 4 storm in Miami. In fact I thing they were only facing tropical storm warnings.
That kid thought surfing was a good idea?
That guy was kite surfing ?!?
I hope he made it back safe
Brave captains getting home before the ocean errupts
"Brave" lol
why doesn't boat owners take the boats to where it's safe? Louisiana, Texas, ext? great shots!@
