  • In today’s video I will be casting dried flowers in iCrystal 5 epoxy resin from Resin Pro to create a bubble free resin pyramid night light and a beautiful, crystal tower. Along the way I will be sharing tips and tricks on how to achieve a bubble free casting every time.
    Tips and tricks are very useful but the main player in this game was the iCRYSTAL 5 resin which I can honestly say is the clearest deep casting resin I have tried.
    Resin Pro have MANY different resins to suit any project and their range of pigments, moulds and much more is well worth a look. They ship to most of Europe and have very competitive prices.

    I have watched quite a few of your videos now and usually watch on TV so don't think that I can comment direct on there but, I have just had to come and say thank you very much for all your beautiful creations and clear instructions on all aspects of working with resin. You are my favourite. I am a very new beginner to resin and still watch more than I do. Your wonderful videos have got me really excited with the possibilities. Thank you so very much. Sue❤

    Our neighbor has hydrangias. I see I will have to steal a few. Actually she gave me permission. LoL. I think these are beautiful. I have been drying wildflowers for a while now. I have plans. I just bought one of each of those UV resins to try them. I was very happy to see you compare them. I must say you demonstrate just what I need and fast forward through the tedious things. Perfect for me. I can follow and understand.thank you . another great video.

    I love the pyramid the best because now I'm wanting to make a nightlight for my new grandbaby that's due in August! 💟 Her middle name will be Rose 🌹 after her grandmother Rosa, my dear friend who passed away unexpectedly before she got to realize her joy of a granddaughter from her daughter. She is desperately missed, and I hope the nightlight will be a wonderful remembrance for my daughter-in-law every time she sees it in the baby's room 😍💕. Thank you SO much for the inspiration! 😅. Since I'm brand new to your channel and have never worked with resin before 😮 I'm glad I have a few months to learn and practice on some smaller projects lol

    Hi my Dear Friend, yet again an amazing video with more amazing pieces of art. This resin looks really good and clear. They all turned out beautiful! I love the laundry line and the nylon strainer! I’ve pre-resined my flowers but, I’ve just left them on a silicone mat to cure and it leaves a puddle underneath. I wonder if spraying the flowers with 97-100% isopropyl alcohol right before they’re put in the mold would help prevent bubbles? Although I really love the dew effect!

  • @Angel-yl1ck
    @Angel-yl1ck 2 роки тому

    I always thought the bubbles were sweet. So they don't bother me. I do love that larger pyramid. The hydranga is one of my favorite flowers. You make such lovely things. Does the resin smell bad? I only remember repairing surfboards in the 70's. It smelled sort of acrid. Surely it's improved since then...

    • @LouiseSingletonCreations
      @LouiseSingletonCreations  2 роки тому +1

      Thank you Angel. Some resins have a strong smell but I think it’s usually the polyester resins rather than epoxy. Most art resins don’t smell much at all.

    I think everything you do is beautiful including this pyramid and other shapes. I've followed you for a good bit now and have loved them all. I did want to ask you how the puck light is working. I bought some of those and within a week, they were all no longer working. I only used them for a few minutes once or twice, and then, POOF, out they went. I didn't see the maker in your description box. Thank you for sharing. It's a lot of work to do so.

    • @LouiseSingletonCreations

      Thank you so much. I haven’t really tried it out very many times but I did light it yesterday and it was working fine. Mine was in a pack of six but you only get two remote controls. I’m fairly sure I put the ones I used in my UK Amazon storefront (the link to that is in the description)

    100:67? Uh. My doming resin has a 10:7 ratio and I'm already annoyed by that. 🤣
    But I mostly do small pieces.

    • @LouiseSingletonCreations
      @LouiseSingletonCreations  2 роки тому

      That made me chuckle. It does seem crazy to have such a ratio but once you get your head around it it’s fine xx

    • @sengasengana
      @sengasengana 2 роки тому

      @@LouiseSingletonCreations It certainly depends on what you're casting. I've recently become obsessed with resin shakers and generally make mostly small pieces. I filled all my molds with water, weighed them and made a list of the filling capacities.
      My casting resin has a 2:1 ratio, it's easy to pick two or three molds whose total capacity is divisible by 3.
      I even made a list of how much doming resin I need for my molds. (I'm cheap and never waste resin. ;)) The amount has to be divisible by 17. Okay, that's annoying, but I can manage that. But divisible by 167? I'll pass. :D
      Of course it's different with the big molds, but the first thought that popped into my head was: Oh my, she has to work with that ratio? Poor girl. XD

  • @editek5992
    @editek5992 Рік тому

    You used a very complicated math system to calculate. Easier is simply...100gr for A ----- means 67gr of B, therefore doubling A (200gr) means you need to double B. If you only need 50gr of A means half of B (33.5gr), etc...
