To be honest, the most modding I'll probably ever do for my keyboard is hotswap my switches on my
lol I got a keeb and I am too scared to mod it so it'll stay like it is now :)
Lol if you don’t want to my friend makes and mods custom keyboards he just launched a website it’s a bit janky but I can send it to you if you want!
@@aidansmith1549 thats actually a sick business Idea. Good luck to him!
@@professor_josh yeah it’s pretty cool now he’s just trying to promote his website and UA-cam so I thought I would help whenever I could lol
@@aidansmith1549 would love to at least take a look
A Hipyo upload on Christmas Eve. Beautiful.
JUST like u 🗿
@@Legab12funny joke lol
I’m in Australia, so it’s Christmas right now!
@@MaybepluSame it’s Christmas day here in Australia!
True
the shark fin mouse honestly works well for me.
I have arthritis and it really helps if I've been drawing all day. It's just a more natural comfortable pose for my hand etc.
Been using a vertical mouse for years and stopped getting tendonitis since
The cat ears + tail + neon cherry in the background. I cannot 😂
Thank you for all the joy today.
I absolutely love that you just completely forgot the premise of the vifeo between ordering the items and filming the unboxing. So wonderfully chaotic
The tester68 is actually a really good keyboard kit for the price. It' what I used for my first custom and have been using it for a good 10 months or so.
hey quick question, my tes68 goes on and off half the time and i dont know why, would you have any idea?
@@miberss have you tried replacing the batteries?
@@miberss that happened to me after I tried modding it with a pe foam sheet, which caused static. Removing the PE foam sheet and using individual stickers instead fixed it for me.
Have you tested it with rechargeable NiMH batteries? I'm curious how long it lasts on a full charge. If you answer this, I would appreciate if you could also share the capacity of the batteries.
@@noyomi_hikari yes!
The Minecraft pick for $6 or so was a great deal. Cheapest I can find on wish now is like $16 and they go for $30-$40 everywhere else it seems. Would love to have one to hang on my wall, but not willing to pay that. And I don't know crap about wish, but your 3 month wait time is a bit much for me as well. :P
I'm surprised the plant wasn't left in the box. I expected compost after 6 months, so that's pretty cool. Can the hippo hologram be rotated and get different angles? Because that would be pretty sweet.
I've always been warned never to buy from wish. Thank you for validating those warnings.
But you ended up liking MOST of the things 😂😂😂
This is why I love you. Your sense of humor just gets me lmao.
This was the first Hipyo Tech video I saw, after that i bought a mechanical keyboard, and after 4 months im building a custom one, damn you wizard keyboard man (you and glarses)
I’m watching this on Christmas and it’s hilarious, really enjoyed this vid. Merry Christmas Hipyo.
How are you in the future it’s Christmas Eve wut

The first keyboard I built was a tester 84: no battery, no Bluetooth. With good switches and blue tape it is actually okay and I would recommend for a first keyboard, since you're not afraid to break it.
Tester 68 is an awesome value, despite lacking a lot of features
honestly, I think it's an ok value! Maybe it was a good value about a year ago!
Have built out a couple of Tester68 boards myself to sell on. If you put a little time into a build they come up real nice imho. They are wireless only BT + 2.4G and no RGB but they can sound and feel good. The stabs are actually not too bad, they do not wobble in the plate at all. They just need lube and a balance.
The board, some lubed Gat Yellows and some nice caps and feel wise it still puts most gamer boards to shame at a fraction of the price
@@WarrenLeggatt I do believe you that you made it sound good, but i just dont think its the best value anymore, if you want the cheapest custom keeb then yes, but i think if you spend just a little more you get a lot more bang for your buck, like a GMK67.
@@din3832 I totally agree. There is nothing at the tester68 price at all but pump in just a few more $ and a whole range of interesting kits open up like the GMK67 as you say, even CIY that make the 68 have the Gas67 and Tester84 around same price as the GMK657.
6:03 I died out of laughter man I LOVE IT WHEN PEOPLE SPIT FACTS IN THE BITRATE LANGUAGE, I'd sell you my soul for that mic with no second thoughts.
Ayo that cat jacket is surprisingly dope
so i actually like the tester68 a lot! i built and modded one for my mom that she uses as her daily driver for work and i keep one in my office just to mess around with for fun. the stabs definitely suck out of the box but ime they end up sounding pretty good with a generous coating of dielectric grease on the wires. i tape modded the back of the pcb on the one i made for my mom bc she uses it at the office and it actually sounds and feels pretty good. it's actually a neat little keyboard & imo it's very fun to open up and mess around with for fun!
Merry christmas Hipyo, i hope that you will reach 1 mil soon :D
Merry Christmas Hipyo your video is a gift to me :D
Merry Christmas Hipyo and others
That vertical mouse is just an anker clone which I used for a while. I'm now on a logitech max vertical and honestly it's a godsend, no more wrist pain from mouse usage.
Hey Hipyo, I just wanted to say thanks to you and your videos I got into keyboards and recently got my keychron v1, planning to do some modding like changing the keycaps, switches, maybe tape mod aswell. I feel like this is only the beggining of this endless hole, I blame you for this lol
Be careful, I've fallen into the hobby and i can say it's expensive but fun.
@@Jobieable yeah ik, it’ll be a while before I get some free time for this, but it’ll be worth it
Merry Christmas Hipyo and Nola!
for the price of the keybored and quality i think it was really good and cool keep up the content hipyo
Hipyo thnx soo much for your help! I finally saved enough money to make my first custom keeb and just spent 3hrs living and filming my darkstem tangerines after watching the video ft. Josie
The Tester 68 was my first custom build and now my daily driver. Black body version, Foam mod, Tape mod, Holy mod, hand lubed Akko Lavender Purple switches with 64gram springs under YMDK Dye Sub 60% Carbon Custom Keycaps. Yes it has no LED's, yes its north facing switches, yes I have to put some AAA batteries in every so often (Panasonic Eneloop Pros ftw) but honestly I've yet to build a board I like more for the money that has the features the tester is lacking. It's actually really thocky when built with mods and I do recommend it to people.
Hipyo thank you from saving me from being forced to spend money again, you’re a life saver, merry christmas
Recognized a decent amount of this stuff from aliexpress. Wish seems like a clunkier aliexpress that charges a bit more and takes longer to ship or something. Perhaps less reliable as well, based on some orders I've seen from similar vids. Very happy to see gamercat Hipyo though.
The cat ears and tail WERE NOT a mistake- it was pure magic
I have the Tester68, it is after modding (especially the stabs )very good!
The tester 68 is actually a really nice keyboard with some work and mods.
That shark fin mouse looks identical to my anker ergo mouse. It's pretty comfy and keeps my wrist at a good angle.
HIPYO!! For christmas I got your merch! Love the videos!!!!!!
yay im gonna finally get the parts for my first keyboard build on the 30th! hope they all come tho lol
Hi Hipyo, i have a question, is it okay if I lube my Spring switches with WD-40?
6:54 these are very useful for mobile gamers, using it for years, night and day difference for me.
the tester 68 is actually good for a budget 65%, but too sad it only comes in wireless and no wired option, the wired option is tester 84 and ciy gasket 67
He completely sidetracked towards the end of shopping 😭😭💖
Merry Christmas Hipyo and everyone reading this comment
I just bought the Tezarre TK61 Pro with optic blues and it's my first time with this keyboard do you think it's good or in gen what how do you feel about it
Hi Hipyo! I just started building keyboards and wanted to see if you would review a split ortholinear keyboard. Thank youuuu!!!
5:11 that slap was pretty great
merry christmas hipyo
The neon cherry is kinda cool!
you've inspired me to build my own keyboard :D i'll upload a video once i complete it and i'd love to get your input!
I have to say you have to give the tester 68 another try. If you Do all the mods you would to a higher priced kb this thing is genuinely not bad and I used it on a daily basis for a while. The stabs need work, the tempest mod helps and a bit of foam goes a long way on this board.
seconding this! i built one for my mom to use at work and had good results tape modding the pcb and lubing the stabs with dielectric grease. it's a neat little board
it is even cheaper now, i think, i got mine for $10 unused
hey man is the tape mod dangerous for the pcb or no? and is it a long term thing or you gotta remove the tape after like 6 month cause it might broke your pcb
new upload from hipyo tech on christmas
Hey Hipyo! Im a big fan. Here's a cool video idea: review and build the akko 5075S kit. Its a budget 75% barebone kit at $60. Also, try to make it the best sounding and looking possible and keep it under $130.
did you try any deltaco gaming
mechanical keyboards? especially ones that carry membrane switches with 28 anti ghosting keys
Very nice muscles Hipyo, Very cool!
pure gold. Thanks for spending the $500
Hey hipjo tech, do you think these are good keyboard components or not?
I am curious beacause my first custom keyboard chould sound creamy ans thocky at the same time idk.
The Keaboard:
Case - Tofu 65
Switches - ktt kang whites v3 (lubed ofc)
Plate - q2 aluminium plate
Stabilizers - durock v2
Keycaps - gmk hennessy
And it Would be ofc Modded
Would it be a good one?
I notice you don't have pretty much any videos on low-profile keyboards. Is that somekind of low-class thing that I'm for some reason drawn to? And would it be possible to get the same kind of smooth, muted sound from a low-profile keyboard?
"...So you don't have to."
me in my head : not like i was planning to do it...
that 3060 ti founder’s edition is so cool
I legitimately love that graphics card key cap😂
hey so i was wondering if there is any difference if i put tape on my foam in stead of my board
That webcam actually looked pretty damn good. Other than the stability it was fine which isn't an issue if you leave it in one spot please link I'd like to buy that webcam. And stop telling me to subscribe shut the f****** I've been subscribed for months
Jk.
my dad legit went into my room as soon as you showed the gamer beach shorts in censored and for a moment, I thought my dad is going to question what Im watching but he didn't :D
OMG 😲 😱 the plant 😭
Oh, that turned out better than my fears... phew!
Nice video dude!
What is your keyboard setup ?
What keyboard are you using with what keycaps?
Thank you:)
Totally worthwhile!
You're supposed to use the laser projection keyboard to simulate typing on bacon, peanut butter, and other food items like that.
the cherry neon sign is nice
What mic do you have? I am searching for a good mic and i really Like your audio quality. Good Video BTW
Very nice muscles hipyo very cool, are you keyboard lifting?
love ur vids also is the gmmk 2 any gud tnx hipyo
nah plants dope jackets dope and keyboard is dope especially the gpu key.
Those headphones are MVP of the video ❤️
When you said "Oh it's got the old-school red laser! It's so Retro!" it aged me so much 'cause retro to me is the fucking mouse ball 😪
okay i’ll be here for the next 10 and a half hours
Am I the only person who noticed smoke in the background? Hipyo you're house is burning.
you should do a video on the tamago Sushi switch, not really known that well and i think they sound amazing
Hipyo got me invested on keyboards already on my 3rd one within a year 😭
Me just wondering how the heck the red Lazer style mouse is retro to him
i soldered a usb type c daughter board on the tester 68 and it works pretty well
When will you be releasing the complete Cherry Factory tour video?
Hypio I have a burning question. Why do all these keyboards look like oversized brick frames with little cubes ?
Yay hipyo does wishtery tech
hipyo you should review the ROG Azoth, a about-to-be-released product that is supposed to cater towards enthusiasts with like lubed switches and tuned stabilizers with "zero rattle". They even released a video on how to lube your switches on their youtube channel ROG Global.
The keyboard, the cherry sign and the switches seem like the only good deal in here
5:10 that jiggle though... OF when???
Genuinely curious if the Wooting keyboard is actually as good as people say it is. Would love to hear your opinion on it. Love the videos :D
@@lnboxmeontele_gramofficialhipy Nah I'm good
Damn. Hipyo is thicker than a bowl of oatmeal.
you mad man, wish is MAD sketch. I could never.
I’ve been thinking of buying a akko keyboard with hot swap and silent alpacas switch. How do you rate akko keybroad on the scale of 10? I dont have the budget for a entire mod yet so I want a keybroad that already good with hotswap to replace with silent alpacas.
I have an Akko keyboard. Hippo would probably rate it as awful, but hey, it's cheap, colorful and mechanic. It's better than nothing if you have no money hahaha.
This entire video is Discord Mod with a Discord Kitten energy, I love it
I saw a hippo on holiday earlier and thought of u lol
The best thing is the cat jacket 5:05
I have the same socks just black and from Aliexpress they are best really comfy
Okay. Two things. One, I am happy that the plant lived.
Two, please make a follow up where, without buying new parts other than what you already got from Wish, you take the keyboard and mod it to try to make that keyboard sound as good as possible (You know, lube the switches, tape mod the back, etc.) Just to see if its possible.
I personally like the sound of the one-handed keyboard
Happy easter everyone
what are your thoughts on mx browns?
Hipyo check out the machenike kt68 keyboard looks really cool. Ive never seen anything like it
hello hipyo i know you probably wont read this but id like to get some recomendation for a keyboard in the 300$ price range im from central eu and would like to get some good keyboard for my 20th birthday, i play rhythm games so maybe something with a bit lighter tactile switches. (currently im using glorious gmmk white ice edition with gateron browns, before that i had ducky mecha mini with cherry mx reds)
FEKER switches are really good for knock-offs.
I think the "Wasp Feeler" are for mobile gamer's thumbs and it is like the skates of the mouse
Wish is like the middle child of online stores
im a middle child 😅
