- It's almost car show season, which is a perfect time to talk about DIY Detail Waterless Wash! It's not a perfect product for every occasion, but on lightly soiled vehicles -- freshly washed, then driven to the car show, for example -- it really shines. In this video, paint master Jason Killmer joins Yvan for a Waterless Wash on this Ferrari Testarossa!

Always a treat to see Yvan and Jason discuss detailing. I have never met Jason but there is something about him I really like. Hopefully we can see more videos with Jason teaching us. Thank you for the video.
Thank you, more to come
Loved this one! Oh to see the cars Jason has seen...im praying we get to see the two of you polish this gem ❤
Being from Nova Scotia, i cant fathom ever having a car clean enough to waterless wash, but the DIY rinseless has been a massive time save for me!
Thank you.
We are neighbours and passionate about cars as well. I am also from Nova Scotia and also have been using DIY rinseless a lot lately. Just ordered a bath of products for my Post Winter wash. Having DIYed the ceramic coating on my own, it will be a blast to unclog its pores on the bottom close to the front wheel.
Thank you.
Love this the sandman and Mr efficiency in one building
Thank you.
Gorgeous vehicle and great tips as always. Love the results you can get with waterless wash used like this it's perfect for maintenance washes. I think I'll be grabbing a bottle or two for upkeep.
Thank you.
Great video 👍🏼👍🏼💪🏼💪🏼
Glad you liked it!
More Jaso appearances if he has time because his insight and knowledge is to the MOON👀👌
Stay tuned
I am surprised there are not more waterless wash mobile detail businesses
It’s labour intensive
I’ve got the 5-3 stack on my car and I’m going to be applying diamond gloss. Will the APP be enough to abrade the coating I have and let it accept the new coating or will a Polish with gold standard be required
I would do DIY Detail Gold Standard Polish first, the Stack is quite tenacious
Can we expect gallon size bottles of the waterless was soon? Thanks for the video content.
Yes, soon
Ready
Thank you.
Hi, when will the ceramic coating kits be available in stock?
Soon
For a moderately dirty car, would it be reasonable to pre-foam, rinse, then waterless wash (instead of rinseless)?
Waterless was meant for dry surfaces and rinseless for wet surfaces.
@@kevinski34 yes I know. But on a vehicle that has already been pre-soaked and rinsed, can you use waterless wash instead of rinseless?
Yes you could if you wanted too.
Can i use just water for cleaning pads while polishing if i dont have rinseless wash?
It depends on the polish
Yvan do you have a product that has anti static properties? Living in the desert I M in search of the best product to help with this.
All our protection products are antistatic to a point, but unfortunately dust always ends up on the surface.
What about using this with yellow pollen?? I would say the past five weeks where I live, every single day I wake up my car has a yellow film on it. You don't really see it that much if you walk 10 feet away. But once you get close you could see it. And if I let it go for two or three days, it gets worse. If I use this waterless wash, does pollen scratch my car??
It’s great for pollen removal.
A Rinseless that leaves a layer of protection! 💡! A rinseless that leaves water beading and sheeting. 🙏
Eventually
Was it addressed? The difference between waterless wash and rinseless wash? (the products themselves)

Does the sandman finish with a quick detailer or some sort of wax or sealant when prepping a car for the concourse? Or would that be considered a form of cheating or somehow not allowed?
Good question
I would guess a very high grade of carnuba wax. Wax tends to have deeper, warm glow. Compared to ceramic coatings. Tinted waxes and glazes could be a good choice on vintage vehicles to mask some imperfections.

Thank you.
Interesting
Thank you.
Would it be possible to list local suppliers on your website?
Yes

@diydetailofficial thank you!
If cars could speak...my gawd. The things I've had to clean would have normal people waking up from nightmares in a flop sweat thanking their bloody stars they're still in their own bed, wearing their pokey-dot pajamas in their suburban bedroom in their suburban home. Sorta like having the sudden unending need to scream but having no mouth. Anyway...that got dark. I love cars and I love detailing cars...people..eh...they have money and they have cars so I guess..I kinda like them, too.
lol
Testarossa?

Ivan, I know you know what you are doing, but brother the ring should come off your finger, especially when doing a vintage Ferrari!
In 40+ years I’ve never touched a car with a ring or watch.
@@diydetailofficialI know but as a professional myself I would not risk it, I know we are human and accidents can happen.
Detailing is fun... As they say, make your hobby your business and you need a new hobby. :)
Very true!
These premade waterless squirt bottles are a HARD PASS. WAY too expensive. Not cost effective.
I will, however, use one that you mix yourself with water in a bucket.
That’s why we have DIY Detail Rinseless Wash
Ahh ok. That’s awesome! I’ll take a look.
Hilarious how everyone comments on oh this furr-are-E is so low-mileage! Cars have a purpose, to be driven. Fact is low-mileage cars have issues for many reasons.
Agreed
