This is literally me at the moment. after watching your video I learned something new and also feels more motivated to study. Thank You and Keep it up! 😄
I only took a break to give my mind a rest and would go back to studying. My system is if it’s one hour 15 minutes, 2 hours 30-45, 3 hours and above an hour break or an hour and 15 minutes but no longer than that.
Thank u so much for this vid ; I can relate to this as I procrastinate my important work.. Thanks a lot for organizing a way which is easy and helpful..(love u man & all the best for your future..)
You are preaching some BIG FACTS with it being difficult to start especially when you know you're gonna be at it for a while and holy shit your phone. Pandora is an awesome study aid but the other apps will kill ya.
I'm glad that I have the opportunity to know how an engineering student actually studies and arranges his Time Management. Even though I'm an engineering student too in Computer Engineering Degree. Honestly, it is really hard to find a better study technique for recalling the learning material actively. I have watched some videos about students of Medical Science Degree(like Ali Abdaal, Kharma Medic) who give many tips ( like about active recalling, Feynman Technique, Space Repetition, and more...) only on Theoretical part instead of Practical part. I suppose it is not so often applicable in all learning styles or subjects although I study for an Engineering Degree. Can you recommend for those who study in an engineering degree which study techniques we need to focus on to give our higher achievements as Engineering Students? If those techniques (which had been mentioned before) are useful in Engineering as well, how would we apply those techniques better in our subjects ( like Maths, Electronics, Physics, etc)? It would be even more helpful if I have an idea of how to apply them in my learning. Also thanks for the video, man. I appreciate it :) Keep doing it.
From experience, I’ve learned that medical and engineering students need to study differently for the most part. Medical students like Ali Abdaal and Khama Medic usually have to memorize a lot of information, so they need strategies like Feynman technique. But, for engineering students, it’s all about practice. The problem sets and assignments that ur professor give need to be done regularly (sometime even more than once) so u really get the jist of engineering.
12+ hours wow. I don't attend most lectures let alone study this much. I wish I had will power to study more. Agggh one year to go I just wanna work a certain schedule and be free rest of the day
@@TamerShaheen Yeah definitely a good idea :) Thanks man. It's incredible how much integrity and dedication you have to improving yourself in general. Hopefully I can have that mindset one day
So I’d just like to find out if you don’t have to attend lectures and tutorials ? Because a typical day in my engineering course involves attending lectures and having a tut test …every single day …. How then can you study for 12hours? Or does that include lectures ? Also our midterm exams are literally all in the same week one day after the other …. We don’t get a study week or anything . What would you suggest ?
You don’t have to attend lectures, but some tutorials are mandatory since they can have graded quizzes (but they’re usually worth very little). I usually don’t study for 12 hours every day...I only study that much during midterm week or final exam season. I’d literally do the exam then come home and study all day for the next one. I’d also spend most of the day on the weekends studying. Also, my studying time doesn’t include going to lectures.
I feel like your university system is different. We have like seminars and lectures. For example from 8 am till 5 pm. With some break in the middle. So just wondering how do you have time to study 12 hours. I have like only 5 hours time to study if I want to have a good sleep schedule. Also because my university is almost 2 hours away. I study computer engineering by the way
I don’t study 12 hours a day every single day. I’ll usually do that type of studying on weekends. Also, my university likes to put all my exams in one week and give us the week right before off with no classes. So, I’d usually study 12 hours a day in that week where I have no classes to study for all my midterms and exams.
A tip that saved hours of my time: Get a smart watch. Ever since I got a smart watch, I would connect it to my phone the leave my phone in another room while studying. This helps because you know that you won't miss out on any notification, but you also won't be able to take your phone, and procrastinate. So now you wont worry about missing something Important on your phone, but you also wont loose study time.
Hi,I'm your recent subscriber & I like your videos !!! But one suggestion !!! Jus change that last music what you say after peace.Ive heard that in many UA-camrs videos.
Idk how y'all can study 10-12 hours. On average I can do 4 hours depending on the subject. On some I can do more, on others I can do much less(on the ones that envolve lots of reading and no problems).
You can find a native partner speaker through an exchange language website if you want something free , second option is to use cambly, but its not free . Good luck .
Sup man love ur vids. I'm in highschool right now thinking of studying engineering. I was wondering if the classes in engineering are diverse. (White,Asian,Blacks,Latinos etc) I'm asking because there a rumors saying engineering is not that diverse and only a certain group of people study it. What do you think?
I always get distracted when studying but I am going to try your tips to see your work. Also, I see you, Tamer, using Tinder. Trying to get into a relationship. (Just joking I know it was just for the video).
Shoul I study three sunjects in a time ( physics/math/computer science) or one at a time cs I get bored and also I get drizzly doing so much in one day
When I study for exams, I usually devote an entire day to a particular subject. That way, I’m able to just focus on it and understand all the concepts. Also, if u get tired studying a particular subject, then take breaks
Hmm u have to be really good at managing ur time and making sure those 3 hours a day are efficient and productive. I might make a video addressing that

I used to be able to study 10 hours a day in my late teens in my 20’s. 30’s it’s a lot harder to do and have the patience for.
Oh I see, I think in general humans learning capabilities isn’t as efficient as they get older
Going for masters ?
thats true, it gets easier when you get over the procrastinating the studying part

Haha thanks

HAHA who isn’t 😅

Your method is much better❤️
I have ADHD & work a full time job so studying for 12 hours is unrealistic for me, but I always make the time I am able to study effective.
Are you medicating or maybe using Cbt?
As in therapy not illicit substances
Thanks alot your videos help alot
I want to work hard and become an engineer because it’s rewarding
I'm just so nervous and I really want to be able to make it into Waterloo Engineering. I'm just starting grade 12 and wanna do as well as i can

much respect from SA
i think with proper in class notes, 3-4 hrs / day is good enough to pass with good grades of 75%+
Aha, a course in power engineering!
I was so scared you threw your phone without a phone case, you fooled me 😂
Good video. Do you find it easier to work out in morning or afternoon or evening best when you are studying ?
Great vid beo
Thanks you :)

do a video on the books on your shelf pls!

Can you make a video about the best majors to do when you don't know?
Yea for sure
starting to study is a massive hurdle to overcome, but once you've started the rest is (relatively) easy.
I do this too fucking often especially when it comes to classes like English or shit I don’t really care about
Can you make a video on how you edit your videos!!
Sure, I’ll make one like that soon
Overall, if you have no courage to befriend others or face the responsibility of studying with focus, you’ll fail college. It’s pretty simple.
I use the animedoro method of studying it keeps me motivated and I get to watch anime.
Oh yea I saw some other guy on UA-cam talking about that...I never tried it but it seems interesting
Nice
