    Engineering is arguably the most challenging field you can study. The reason is because you have a mixture of courses with quantitative and qualitative content. So for scoring good in your engineering exams, you need to follow clever tips just like highlighted by Tamer in this video. I’m planning to share my own set of tips for Engineering in my channel soon. Thanks for the tips and inspiration Tamer :) Superb video as always!

    These tips are literally gold! I have really weak points like spending too much time on what I don't understand/spending time on what I understand, not doing enough practice problems, wasting my time on useless lectures, and torture myself not to sleep thinking I am being hard-working which actually shows how poor my time-management is. I pinpointed my weaknesses now I need to work on them. One crucial question for you: how can I read texts with 100 pages for one week? I stay behind because my pace isn't proper. This is my BIGGEST problem. Any advice??

    If you’re studying more than 8 hours, then you got no business telling people how to manage your time. you can do effective studying at the 2-4 hour mark you just gotta be focused. I don’t know how I ended up on this video but for context I have a Masters in Electrical engineeeing and bachelors is CS and only studied 3 hours a day, played sports, worked full time as a paramedic, served in the national guard as a combat medic, built my amazon fba on the side, and raised my son. I did 3 hours of efficient studying then used recall throughout the day to solidify the info. Studying 8 hours a day shows me you’re not that efficient I’m sorry, there are better ways to go about studying.

      @ Time management, time block you’re actual days and when it’s time to study, study. No b.s, no social media, no netflix in the background, focused work, a lot of people say they do deep work but get easily distracted and spend hours studying when 3-4 hours of focused work is all you need. Dont waste your time pasively reading chapters and writing pretty / fancy notes with highlights, do practice problems, practice practice practice, use flashcards while actively trying to recall them, read ahead of lessons and write down main points you see that way you’re ready for the lecture, then when you come across a concept explain it to yourself as if you’re talking to a 6 year old, if you can then you truly understood it. 3-4 hours a day of deep work, 45 minute work 5 minute break, and you’ll be golden. This whole “8 - 12 hours of studying and losing sleep” badge of honor people wear just shows me they don’t know how to study effectively. School shouldn’t be your whole life.

    • @Blue2000q
      @Blue2000q Місяць тому

      @@Pr0jectATLAS I think you're right. Now in high-school i don't really need to have a studying routine because if i just do the homework my teachers assigns i can always get a perfect score. However there were times when i didn't get 8 hours of sleep and totally havoc my capacity to study inside and outside the classroom so I was really scared because to be honest i can't concentrate for 8-12 hours straight especially without sleep. So it really is encouraging that there is a way to get trough engineering school without giving up sleep and the rest of your life( i hope so it will be the same for me)

    • @Pr0jectATLAS
      @Pr0jectATLAS Місяць тому

      @@Blue2000q Honestly everybody's different and lives different lives you just gotta find out what works for you through trial and error. There are people who can study in the morning and some who can't. Find the best time for you to study uninterrupted when you have the most energy and can focus. I personally woke up 3 hours earlier so that I could get study before the day got in the way and then reviewed at the end of the day with flash cards and active recall. But so long as you can find a block of time where you can study, and I mean really study deeply and just review throughout the day even if its for like 10 minutes you'll be able to have more time for other things. All about balance, school shouldn't be your whole life that's how people burn out and become bitter. If you gotta study a little more like 2 hours in the morning, 3 in the evening, then do that but studying 8 - 12 hours straight just fries your brain. Also find people to study with if you can, makes it more enjoyable and not so much of a chore.
