  • This is a new series about How I learned different MTB Tricks and skills! This one is all about how to fakie, or ride backwards, and revert, whip around 180 on the bike.
Step 1: Find a gradual slope
    Step 2: Pull an endo
Step 3: When you come back down pedal backwards so you can roll backwards
Step 4: Turn you bars to get going straight again
Hope you can get it like I did!!

    Advice:
    1. To revert better try it with more speed and turn the wheel tighter. Use the pressure on your pedals to shoot your front end around. This motion takes a long time to master. A cool easy trick to learn once you master this is a wheelie out of revert.
    2. Learn to nose pivot 180 flat or up something because it helps put the two tricks together smoothly. You can improve by carving in and using your ankles to flick the back end around.
    Keep it up 🤙🤙

I really felt your effort to learn to fakie. How long have you been to learn? In your fakie video, at least more than 1 year?

I heard there is a trick to do it a bit easier. You better turn that way, so when you start normal pedaling your front wheel is turned off you front foot (I guess). Notice! Not the main foot, but the one at front at the time. It's harder to start the move with "inner foot".

What type of bike is your full suspension?

Artorias the Abysswalker I have a specialized men's stumpjumper comp 29. Size small. 150mm of suspension up front, 140 out back. I will hopefully eventually get around to doing a bike check.
