Building a Fun Mountain Bike Gap Jump on Bodarc Flats
Переглядів 9004 роки тому
Today we will build and ride a Mountain Bike Gap Jump, on our New MTB trail. I wanted to turn the ditch in the middle of our property, Bodarc Flats, into some sort of feature. Because it was over a drainage ditch the obvious choice was a double, or a jump with a gap in the middle. However it wasn't easy, as I have never built any type of jump like this ever. But we eventually got it to where it...

Tip get your hips nearer to the front bars, and shoulders more over the handlebars, turn your head deliberately to look behind you not at your front tyre. Also turn your front wheel opposite to where you want to move the back wheel. ua-cam.com/video/N6PVMixJN_c/v-deo.html Thank me later.

I believe its good to see a tutorial from someone who is also learning along with you. I am also getting folded and I thought I needed to do something with my shoulders or my hands like what other tutorials keep saying. Hearing you talk about the three points in your body made a lot of sense to me and it just clicked. I will try this soon! Thanks for sharing your experience man!

I'd expain it other way. Though I'm using a street trial bike, here can be some differences. What's important: 1. Moving weight to the front of a bike. So you can rotate at front wheel. 2. Moving with you hips first. Seems weird, but any other way prevents me from ending on both wheels. 3. Rotating the front wheel while standing on it. In other videos they say you need to end the movement with frame and front wheel on a line. I'd say this way you most likely would stay still, though you still can hold a balance with front wheel rotated in the end.
