Hey guys, I know I haven’t posted for a while but I want to do a comprehensive wheelie tutorial, but instead of making it like every other one I want to specifically address common questions as well as list the pros and cons of different setups. It will kinda be like a reference book and will have a list of chapters so people can just look for their problem then go to that time stamp. So what are some things I should include that would be helpful to you guys?
I have been wheeling for about 4 months and i can wheelie around half a mile. It takes alot more practice and dedication than most think it does. Good job and keep up the good work!
Bro your videos are awesome, i am practising wheelies and manuals too, and the way you make your film is really engaging. Love the story telling. Learn something new (flow), and it's true that it is something we all experienced but just can't exactly put it down into words and science. Keep these awesome videos coming.
Awesome video! I'm quite a bit older than you but learning the skill as well and can relate so much. Your video really highlights how much of journey it is.
Thanks! I would say get in a low gear and use small bursts of power and just feel it out. Then try different gear combos and see what works best for you.
I’ve actually been thinking about doing a more how-to oriented wheelie video, is that something that would be helpful? I would probably try to make it different from all the other wheelie tutorials out there in some way.
Can u do a step by step on how to do a wheelie. I cannot seem to lift the front wheel over 3/4 inches of the floor and even then it’s only for about half a second. Thanks
I would love to do that but since I probably won’t be able to for a while here’s my best tips on how to lift your wheel to start. First if you are in too hard of a gear your front wheel will feel too heavy. So start in your easiest gear and go basically zero miles an hour. Next you need to lower your chest to the bars then throw your weight back with all your might while you hammer on the pedals. Try to continue to lean back like your in a recliner or something. That’s the best I got for now. If you get the timing right your wheel should pop up beautifully. If you feel like your pedaling too fast shift up a gear or too. Remember it is important you remember to move your torso as well as trying to pedal. Hope that helps. Good luck🤙👋.

In the beginning I started in a really easy gear and as I wanted to do longer wheelies and as I got better I used a harder gear. Now I like to be in the 8-10 range.

Also good job for accomplishing your goal. Can you make another vid about it, I would really enjoy it?

Wheelies on my friends Schwinn Rocket 3 are easier than on my GT Palomar AL, in the same gears. What makes that difference?
But my bike feels to hevy y can’t get it up
What gear are you in?
