- Installed the new koyorad on the Civic Type R, and this is how I did mine. Should be the same with the new 10th gen Civics. Pls enjoy and install at your own risk.
Update 5/23/24
Sorry for the moment of silence for the first two minutes.
Someone claim on the music on me in the beginning first 2 minutes of the video it was free of rights back then but 3rd party decided to have rights now 😓 .
Finally a video that shows me all the bolts. Thank you! Also I thought this video was just going to be you silently pointing at each bolt lol
Thank you! I removed it from top carefully with patience.
Thank you for the video. I’m going to install mine today.
There is that one bolt on the bottom i had a hard time on but take ur time.
@@car-lo thanks for the heads up.
@@car-lo Which bolt is it?
Since i did untraditional removal there's a 10mm bolt down below on my video that is a bit hard to reach from top.
KoyoRad is good quality and cooling down from the heat with the turbo engine.
Great video, I just bought a mishimoto radiator and gonna order the acuity hoses. This video is going to help a lot.💪💪
Gonna install my spoon radiator. Thanks for the vid
I'll be installing one of these this weekend. Thanks for making this video!
Tyler Lyssy my pleasure!
Great vid!!.. just ordered the Koyorad. Question: How much coolant did you have to add after installing the new rad? thanks!!
Hi Joe, I think i used less than a gallon, but always good to have extra just incase.
Hey I am planning to install one. All of my mechanics told me that they need to take the front bumper off. Is it easier when the front bumper is removed?
Yes tremendously. Otherwise it would take unnecessarily long to get to it
I have the HKS Intercooler with HKS pipes. I wonder if the Koyorad radiator will still fit with this setup?
Justintm i think it should...all ur pipes clears the oem right?
Car-Lo Yes. But the OEM radiator is much smaller
Why did you have to change the stock one? Is the new one cooling much better?
cantsolvesudokus yes it does cool better, the car is tuned and with a mixture of ethanol, i need a bit cooler temp 👍🏼.
You wernt clear about how you got the bottom 2 screws out. How did you exactly do it?
Nick Buchanan i used a long extended 10mm and tilted the radiator towards the engine, and reached with my arm when the nut is loosened ( a bit tricky).
Car-Lo how exactly did you fish the extended 10 mil down there?
Yo. Any issues installing it with an aftermarket intercooler?
Imlooking 4-work-atm none so far keeps the car cooler on partial e85.
you didnt show how to uncrew the water sensor at the bottom of the rad
Razorn HD are you talking about in the timeline of 4:47 ?
@@car-lo ohh i see theres a clip so you can just unscrew the sensor when its out of the rad. Perfect easy install without removing the bumper
Any any check engine light?
Imlooking 4-work-atm no light and the ecu has been tuned.
Do you know how thick this Koyorad is?
Michael Wiellett I think it might be 48mm inner core? A must have made a difference.
Car-Lo if you do have a chance would you mind measuring how thick it is including the end tanks? Thanks!
Does it work or get the FK8 still got high temp?
Car has a bit lower temp, specially when running cools much better, I can see it on the after market temp monitor installed in the car, lower than before.
@@car-lo how much lower than before
Hi bro, when the car is running between 5-10* cooler at moving speed, now for the spec when the car is tuned it gets deeper with the temp technicality.
@@car-lo awesome to hear, I will need this and reverse flow hoses
That is actually a good idea with those hoses they dissipate heat better!
Will that void the warranty?)
Imlooking 4-work-atm good point and it might, but the time i voided my warranty is when I did the hondata the following week the car was purchase.
No it won’t, and if your not tracking the car or pushing it hard there’s 0 point of you getting this
