A massive comprehensive masterpiece from one of my favorite authors. This is one for the fans, sure, but also for all that want to grasp a little bit of best art production from late 20th century up until now. A worthy investment…
Yes, it is an impressive work and great for seeing the best of the best from the late 20th as well into the first twenty years of this century, he has released a lot of wonderful books of late as well. Perhaps not as many comic based ones though
Thank you so much for review! McKean have really nice style, try to buy this books in the future, coz in my country now it cost 220$
Also "DUST COVERS" by McKean really cool book with Sandman covers and some comments, so if you just like style - really recommend to buy while they are still on sale
Got the dust covers, excellent book. I would imagine copies are easy enough to find. I would imagine Thalamus will eventually be a harder book to find at a decent price but then again, a bluray I recently failed to buy on release is now £500+ ... prices just sometimes go crazy
I don't have any Dave McKean, but I do have several volumes of Creepy and Eerie, reprinted by Dark Horse. A quality publishing house!
Dark Horse have brought out many brilliant volume (sadly too many of them now out of print). Dave McKean is probably not for everyone but for me, one of the best artists here in the UK
I’m all about your reviews.
thank you, glad you found it of interest
I’m a fan of McKean, he’s incredible. Can you tell me, are this and the other volume sewn binding? I’m mindful of time passing and me not owning.. All the best!
yes, it is a quality £100+ book (both volumes)
