Because of the influences and role model these older men looked up to during their time. I'm almost 40 btw and i look up to these men on their 40s to 60s.
That's what happened to me bro... I've been 40 for about 6 mos. and I'm starting to shop for muscle shirts now. Fitted clothes, sure, but I'm not into this dapper stuff...

I'll be 40 in a few years and I feel way closer to being in my prime than I ever was. My looks and fitness seem to get better and better over the years and I'm noticed by alot more women now. It also helps to be more confident. Some of us reach our peak later, not in our 20s.

As a single guy, still in the dating scene in his forties, I am not ready to retire... These are the best days in my life, and I dress trendy and fashionable because a lot of the younger women that I attract to me appreciate that. Just because you are more experienced does not make you an "old man"... Age is a number on a piece of paper, young or old is a mental attitude!
@stepentuthill4598 : Agreed !! many of us dudes are doing better at this age in many ways !! Serious question tho (not being snarky): would you or do wear skinny jeans ?

Very true. But, be careful. All kt takes is a teen to start making thay very comfortable look popular/trendy then they will start to tell you that you are trying to look young. When you have wore the same style for years way before a trend. Take crocs for example. Older people and nurses wore crocs. Now they are in fashion with younger people. Not that I ever would wear crocs. But, today if I wore them, I would be TRYING to look young ?!?! 😒Smh
I am an older gentleman and have watched several of your videos regarding dating and relationships. I must say you are a very knowledgeable lady, full of wisdom. Keep up the good work!
I am 57 years old and I think that this video is really good advice for men of almost any age. When it comes to layering, I even like to wear a thin turtle neck sweater under a casual shirt topped off with a tweed sports jacket. I have had many compliments on this combination and it allows me the latitude to wear almost any kind of pants that I want. I call it casual/sharp.
Thanks for the laugh, Douglas! I was in a store and the ladies in front of me and the young man working there were in a brief conversation about their age. I needed to speak with him and when they were finished I asked him, "Out of curousity, how old do you think I am?" He said, "Oh, dude... you're (back of throat, rolling a gutteral "O") oooold!' "Old? How old is old?" He said, "Oh... like, like, like thirty!" I put my hands on top of my head, then threw them in the air and said, "That's amazing! How did you know???"
I know Im asking randomly but does any of you know of a method to get back into an Instagram account? I was dumb lost the account password. I appreciate any help you can offer me!
Nailed it 99%, one disagreement (for some men) most cargo pants have poofy pockets and look silly, however Duluth Firehouse and Firehouse Flex have flat pockets and are great for guys who can't practically carry a bag. I'm an executive for a small business, my daily wear is Duluth Firehose Flex pants, high quality steel toe work boots always polished, a well fitted quality T or pull over depending on the season. I keep worn or stained pants, shirts, and boots in my office for when I know I might get dirty. I'm in the coatings business and often on factory floors with the potential to get dirty. Plus by dressing just above the workers I get more respect than dressing in a suit, make friends more easily, and am more approachable. The rest of your list is perfect!!! I happen to have my father's wing tips from when he got his first job, mint condition, third set of soles. Quality matters. The same shoes today cost close to $400. My boots over $500 and as high as $800. If it's between you and the ground spend money on it gentlemen. Shoes, tires, mattresses, furniture, office chairs, etc. Your body will thank you!
Great, Courtney! I am 40, and for a man of simplicity like me, you made total sense. Not too much with the accessories and all, but, "Sophistication and Substance", that's all that actually matters.
Such a huge difference. Damn! 3 years ago she didn't seem so negative as her videos today. She actually comes across as wanting to be helpful!! Night and day in her latest videos and 3 years ago. Damn!!! I could not believe this was the same person.
You do realize that by receiving numerous comments from 40, 50, 60+ year old gentlemen, this means you're attracting a beautifully wide range of viewers &/or subscribers? You are on the right track! And yes, another very helpful video - so thank you (again) . 😁
I'm 58, and have decided to donate my out of date clothes. In addition to what you've already said, I've invested in timeless dress shoes as well. Thanks for your insight.
What's funny is a LOT of us forty something year old guys look younger than our age,so i feel there needs to be a video for us well kept older guys who happen to look better and be in better shape than our younger counterparts😎
Amen. As an in shape 38 year old with no gray hairs, I don’t relate to this video. I think instead you should give into a mid life crisis, buy a convertible and a Versace robe.
As I approach 40 this year, and have been updating and upgrading my wardrobe the passed year, I see this video. It's nice to know my decisions are reinforced while reinventing.
Well done. All too often the videos here on UA-cam tell us older guys what not to wear. It is refreshing to hear advice that leads us in the right direction.
Rick Mancini thank you, Rick! I agree with that and I hope it’s one of the many things that set me apart from the rest of them going forward! Thanks for watching ☺️
I'm 54 and found your fashion tips really valuable. Especially leather gloves, loafers and jumpers. I have a pretty ok wardrobe but it will now be so much better. Thankx Courtney
Great vid as a 45 year old man I always find it hard to stay stylish without looking like the older guy trying to look younger. Great tips! Keep em coming!!!
Thanks for the food for thought. 40 probably seems old until you're 40 or older. Not really a problem, there's always a lot to think about and enjoy! Enjoyed the video.
I’m 51 yrs old now, and have worked in hi-tech for the majority of my career. I’ve taken a job in banking/finance (still in IT but in a more traditional type of industry) where the dress code is a lot different (more business/professional)...this video helps a lot with planning my wardrobe! Thanks!
Well, as a 43 year old, i've always dressed a bit younger. That means you don't have to run behind every trend but pick simple, classic, good fitting neutral tones. That's it basically. No large prints, no baggy clothes, no xxl chunky sneakers. It all comes to developing your own taste. And you should always wear a watch:)))
@@Swearengen1980 There are literally thousands of different watches in thousand different styles, so you can pick one that suits you the best! You're not the brightest are you???
@@tommyboy71000 You might want to try thinking before you type. I'm not the brightest? You're not even functionally retarded, are ya? Some people's taste is, they don't like watches. Not everyone likes wearing jewelry or anything on their body. That's a personal preference. You're saying everyone should wear a watch is a judgement that contradicts personal style or preference. I never said nor implied that anyone has to wear a specific type of watch and you lose your shit over the variety of watches that is completely irrelevant. I don't care if there are a million varieties of watches; I'm not wearing one because your stupid ass thinks it's some kind of requirement. Sorry sport, go back to middle school and try reading comprehension again. The point was, NO, not everyone NEEDS to wear a watch.
Great video again, you cover the age groups that are quite often neglected by big brands, I've learned that you have to buy nice, or buy twice, I'm 48 and now dressing my best, even if it's a short trip to the shops, I always make an effort, fantastic advice from you again, keep up the good work!
YES! One of the few advantages of age is knowing what looks good (on me) and what doesn’t. Again, your simple, sensible advice is on the nose, Courtney. Thanks!
I always buy clothing based on how well the pieces flatter me. I still wear jeans, but they have to be Joe's Jeans, which I find fit incredibly well. Cashmere sweaters in neutral, or even bright, colors are never wrong. Hermes ties are beautifully crafted and timeless and I have fun with my choice of socks. The best way to up your game is by wearing really good shoes. If you can do custom, go for it. I have a few custom pairs, but generally opt for Gucci, Ferragamo or Magli loafers (which always work).
This is a good primer for us older gentlemen. I personally already adhere to some of your points you presented and I want to thank you for educating me on other things. Great insight Courtney !
Good to know I'm know doing everything right. I've never really been into trendy fashion, preferring timeless classics since high school. The only difference is in my late 40s I can afford almost anything I want now.
Even in my 20s, I realized that (I'm Japanese-American with black hair) a pair of khakis, and a navy blue or black top, looks good on me. Very basic, but basic in a good way. Some grays, too. It was sweatshirts when I was younger, and sweaters as I got older. I am amazed that I looked decent with certain GREEN outfits! Burgundy sweaters for me, are hit and miss. I don't like even mock necks (on me, that is), because it makes me look overweight. I know that, in the summer, polos are better, but I prefer COLLARLESS short-sleeve shirts, that "are not tee-shirts." I'm looking forward to watching your "mens summer attire" video.
I'm 56 and often get compliments for looking much younger and NOT because I dress trendy or go with the crowd. I feel like my generation set many of the trends we see these days but one should be mindful of their age and how to dress appropriately. It's important to eat well at my age and stay fit. I'm vegan now and feel better than ever! I like fitted clothes and good grooming. The classics have worked and always will. Basic colors and a few colored/print shirts. I wear stuff that mixes and matches. Black and white and killer shoes. I wear clothes that transcend time. Black fitted suits with fitted white crips shirts will always turn heads. (I can afford them now). I can pull off slim fit dark denim and ALWAYS get compliments on my gray Clark desert boots or chelsea boots. I have salt and pepper hair so wearing clear framed glasses go well! One great thing about being in your 50s is you don't give a shit about what people think about you! Best time of my life! Enjoy yourselves brothers!! Great video Courtney and thanks for speaking to our generation!
These are all great tips Courtney. I'm now 52 and I've naturally been slim my whole life. The hardest thing physically about ageing by far maintaining the waistline. Major sacrifices have to be made to have it, mainly restricting a lot of calories. So I've found that finding summer button down casual shirts are either to tight (although make you look good while standing) or they're too loose (dad shirts, haha ) What we need would be a shirt that hugs our chest area, but then relaxes the mid section a little. I haven't seen any around.
You're not saying anything us "old" guys don't already know. One thing about being older are the life experiences and the knowledge you pick up along the way. It makes hearing someone on their 20's or 30's trying to sound like an expert actually sound like someone in their 20's or 30's. lol
I definitely agree with Courtney, I’m 42 and right at 40 I started investing in quality and classy outfits that represents my personality, is investing in yourself.
I'll be 55 in June and just got divorced a few months ago. I've been working out every day and eating better, feeling much better. I'm a painter, so I wear the painter pants, t-shirt and those New Balance sneakers us old guys wear. So I never needed to buy stylish clothes for work and have been really casual outside of work. So I've been following Courtney to figure out how to proceed and be better prepared to go out and start dating again. I definitely will habe to start paying more attention to fashion. Thanks Courtney!
Another great video, Courtney! Having just entered the 50's a year ago (51 in a week), I couldn't agree more with your suggestions. Thanks for looking out for us old guys! 👍😎
The only comment I have on footwear is that some people have wide feet or special foot needs. I understand the New Balance assessment, but they do manufacture shoes in widths which isn't super common, and some of us older people are active walkers or hikers. I really enjoy your videos, Courtney! Keep up the great work!
Thank you, Courtney. I've gotten lazy about this since being out the public workplace and working from home. There was a time that I was dressing nicer, and more for my age, but I went through some difficult times and God did some rearranging, for the good, in my priories. Not being in a relationship for a while, but interested again, I realize I need to consider your advice. My personality is young at heart but also serious so I need to up my game on my clothing.
I am 35 years old and going through a little bit of a fashion transition. I can definitely see myself in a lot of the stuff you listed but I also think I can get away with lighter jeans for a little longer lol
There is so much alignment of thoughts and principles with courtney, i wisj she was single. Having my share of women with drama in my 30 years of life, courtney seems such a quality woman!
@@stylishlyrugged3372 You're welcome to disagree. I watched the video because I'm interested in learning new things but, in general, men don't care if we're called young, old, older/mature. I know where I stand. It is important and what I am. I am a curious person and I like to look good and to explore and I consider specially, a woman's perspective to be "important".
I like my cargo pants, and I don't see myself replacing them anytime soon. I work with my hands a lot. With my lifestyle, I'm pretty rough on my clothes. I stopped buying jeans years ago because they would get shredded within months. If you go with something like a pair of black military surplus BDUs, they're tailored a bit like dress pants, but you get leg pockets and durable fabric. I've gone to weddings just by pairing it with a nice shirt and a suit jacket.
I enjoy most of your videos but this one reminded me of not only how young you are but of the world you live in/were raised in. Im a fit 47 and I spend alot of time outdoors. Most of my wardrobe is t-shirts, jeans and cargo shorts and I prefer sandals or hiking boots to all other footwear. I do have some nice button ups and dress pants for special occasions, but I can't wear sweaters indoors, they make me sweat too much. I'll wear a nice flannel as an overshirt and tie it around my waist when inside. I value your insight on many things...but this 'old guy' is pretty happy with his lack of fashion sense. 😉👍 All the same, I love your channel and keep up the good work.
I think you nailed it in all the fashion statements. That said do not. I repeat do not over spend on clothing. Learn to match clothes. If you are tight on a budget learn on how to dress better. Also create a “uniform”for the week. A really nice set of clothes that way you ares not spending too much but also look great 😊
I’m 67 and still feeling like I’m 35. Looking like the GQ man and a higher quality man all my life, your advice for fashionable and classic is right on target. I attract even older wealthy well connected women along with women 1/2 my age. Less is more and the darker colors work great with my white hair and beard I sport now, I’m looking like some of your examples better dressed men.❤🙏 I’m getting compliments everyday for my appearance for looking very refined and attractive like a senior super model, LOL which is a new feeling I never had when I was younger. They say I’ve aged well like fine wine and very rare
Hi Courtney, another really helpful and informative video for me as a man in his 50s. I think I best get some shopping done to 'up my style game'. PS My wife kept saying "Absolutely" and "Yes" during your video, so she obviously really liked it too. Many thanks Noel
Occasionally when the lakes freeze in the winter, I will jump into a local river for a dose of cold water swimming (immersion). I put shoes on to protect my feet from stones. I wear "Dad shoes" for this event. Absolutely the best use for this fashionable footwear. 58 and I love your advice. Wife thinks I dress well! Thanks.
@@CourtneyRyan Don't worry Courtney, as a guy in my early 30s, but with the crankiness and knee problems of someone in his 80s, I'm definitely OLD now :D As far as I'm concerned, 40 is basically dead and if I make it that far it'll be a miracle!
I don't buy what's "trendy". I buy what fits my style, wich I have - I'm old enough for that. And I'm in shape so I still have and sometimes wear clothes wich I wore literally forty years ago. What I never get are men who dress as five year olds. Your channel was suggested by UA-cam. I have no interest at all, because I have my style. But you got me hooked for several videos. That's because besides your obvious beauty you have a very likable and intelligent way to talk and a pleasant voice.
Hi Courtney, I found your video very informative. And it's true as you age you get to care less about what others are thinking or saying about you, still when it comes to style this is when a man in his 40s, 50s, and beyond can stand out. I'm 51 and I'm developing the style that is best for me, I will keep some of the tips you said today. I need good shoes to go out, a timeless watch, and some other stuff that I'm figuring out. Aging is not an obstacle to looking good and that's a fact.
Excellent tips here, some applicable for younger fellows who want to look more sophisticated as well. Best of all is to have your own personal style, if you can pull it off. You can get quality for cheap by going vintage, and it especially goes over well in "artsy" circles. One *can* find great duds in thrift stores, but vintage clothes store owners have often already picked them clean during their regular runs, so the vintage shops tend to be a better bet.
You showed many men in jackets and ties. Where in the world do people dress like that these days? WHERE do you see many men casually wearing jackets and ties?
Excellent advice Courtney! I broke the last two expensive watches, and I took it as a signal that I didn't need one but still thinking to get a fancy new one. I have a thing for watches and fountain pens. These are things that make feel good of being beyond 40s.
The older I get the more I realize “old” is a very relative term 🙂. And I so agree, one thing that never changes, “less is more” and keep it classy regardless your age.
It isn't the grey in my beard that makes me feel old. It's the change in technology, in prices, and that the under 30 crowd seems to have lost its collective mind.
I just love all your tips! As a 40ish year old, I just want to add, that an age appropriate hair style/cut is important. I see "professional" men my age with weird fades and spiking their hair. I will pay $$$ for a great hair cut (since I still have a full head of hair), but I go for a classic cut - like Clooney.
Missed this one a few years ago. Great content but all of us mature men don't live a business lifestyle. Not enough on casual. Non clubbing. Working class maturity. Keep it coming, love your content!
I’m 56 and have usually leaned toward darker colors. I’ve been lucky and my body hasn’t changed much since I was 30. I wear “dad sneakers” only when I’m doing athletic activities. I really like layers and turtlenecks. I already own a bunch of watches.
Rare is the day when I agree on everything fashion consultants suggest. But your spot on with your advice. I’m 57 years old. I use your advise and always can tell when other men and their wives give me an extra look. As if they are taking notes. My wife loves the way I dress (again thanks to you). Keep the videos coming. What’s your take on suspenders for fashion?
suspenders are to be worn under a suit jacket or a dinner jacket, like ur underwear its not meant to be seen. ull end up looking like larry king, robin williams in mork and mindy or worse, an extra on the set of newsies.
So you listen to someone 30ish years younger than you online who doesn't know you, but not your wife? You never asked your wife what she thinks? The simping of the older crowd here to a kid, largely because she's simply hot with big boobs, is laughably pathetic.
However, they’re still entitled to wear decent modest jeans, t-shirts (in warm weather), hoodies and other comfortable clothes based on their own personal tastes as long as they’re more decent and doesn’t look boorish or gangsterish
I for one couldn't wait to turn 40 when i was 18 because of my grandfather. I Remember him coming to visit the family and he'd always wear these cardigans or turtlenecks, Mostly in brown, grey or black. He looked so cool in them that one time i stole a brown cardigan of his and never gave it back. To the youth 40 and beyond is old and that's fine. But damn it's nice to be able to wear cool distinguish pieces of clothes at my age. Don't have to worry to much about trends or fashion. Casual dark or light colors is the way to go and by the way men age like fine wine.
Josh Harrell Pretty much anything without going to extreme. Any color any type of wash jeans. But not torn and too much distracted. T-shirts of course, but avoid logos. Classic type sneakers, and any type of shoes. Replace hoodies with bomber and leather jackets. Buy couple of scarves. One navy color blazer for going out. Thatks pretty much it.
Getting clothes that fit is most important, IMO, so know your sizes and get friendly w a tailor. A sport coat or blazer (NOT a suit coat) w jeans and a button-down is my usual look... generally with a pair of boots (Thursday Boot Co makes a great dress/casual boot). Wear a belt that's in the same chroma-range as the shoes (black w black, brn w brn) and, if possible, match your chosen watch to the vibe and style. Details make the package and may not even be noticed, but doing it wrong will be glaring and obvious. I had a buddy ask me one time why I always look "put together" (I'm a still a slob for chores, auto work, etc). I told him I do the exact same as him: pants, shirt, shoes, jacket... just different "styles". Casual and relaxed but not pretentious or over-dressed. BTW, I'm a 54 yr old truck driver, not a bucks-up hedge fund guy. I watch for sales and even look at Goodwill and Salvation Army thrift stores for items.
Well fitting chinos, quarter zip sweaters, Chelsea boots, chukka boots, loafers and a nice pair of brogues or double monk straps. So many choices like Woodies chinos, Johnny-O quarter zips, and Allen Edmonds shoes. Quality over quantity for sure!
Thanks for this video. One thing I see mentioned in these videos is shoes. I have wide feet, so to a very large degree, I have to take what is available that fits. But like you suggested in another video, I suppose we can just do what we can with the cards we were given. Thank goodness for Zappos and the internet, at least.
Boots, jeans, a dress shirt & a tie are always fun. Pick a gaudy or goofy tie for casual occasions to show that you have a sense of humor; and pick a formal tie when you need to remind others that you're an Old BAMF.
Great video Courtney. As a 52-year-old I'd also say that developing your own personal style is really the key. Then express it with the best quality and fitting items and accessories you can afford. Chasing trends is for the youngsters.

I have had many compliments on this combination and it allows me the latitude to wear almost any kind of pants that I want. I call it casual/sharp.
I'm so old that my wardrobe has been retro ... twice!
;)
Thanks for the laugh, Douglas! I was in a store and the ladies in front of me and the young man working there were in a brief conversation about their age. I needed to speak with him and when they were finished I asked him, "Out of curousity, how old do you think I am?"
He said, "Oh, dude... you're (back of throat, rolling a gutteral "O") oooold!'
"Old? How old is old?"
He said, "Oh... like, like, like thirty!"
I put my hands on top of my head, then threw them in the air and said, "That's amazing! How did you know???"

Well said.

What's funny is a LOT of us forty something year old guys look younger than our age,so i feel there needs to be a video for us well kept older guys who happen to look better and be in better shape than our younger counterparts😎
I was thinking the same thing! Hell, I'm 57 and I'm in better shape than a lot of 20 somethings!
It doesn't take much to be ahead of the younger generation these days. LOL I'm 51 and have pretty fortunate in that respect.
At least you THINK you look younger than your age.
Amen. As an in shape 38 year old with no gray hairs, I don’t relate to this video. I think instead you should give into a mid life crisis, buy a convertible and a Versace robe.
@@colinbradfield72 Well you're still under 40, so what's your point? 😊
How about a video on casual outfits for older gentlemen
I'm 54 and found your fashion tips really valuable. Especially leather gloves, loafers and jumpers. I have a pretty ok wardrobe but it will now be so much better. Thankx Courtney
Great vid as a 45 year old man I always find it hard to stay stylish without looking like the older guy trying to look younger. Great tips! Keep em coming!!!
It’s really tricky! I hope this video helps. Thanks Richard 😊
I think that you've nailed it. Us mature gentlemen prefer classic pieces with a good fit BUT with smart choices, it doesn't have to cost a fortune.
Thanks for the food for thought. 40 probably seems old until you're 40 or older. Not really a problem, there's always a lot to think about and enjoy! Enjoyed the video.
It’s really not old at all, just older than me lol 😊 thank you, Erick!
Well said Tomaz 👏
Contradiction must? You can't say to develop your own taste and then tell people they should always wear a watch. 🤦♂
@@Swearengen1980 Yeah, wearing a watch in 2023 when there are Smart Phones?
Great video again, you cover the age groups that are quite often neglected by big brands, I've learned that you have to buy nice, or buy twice, I'm 48 and now dressing my best, even if it's a short trip to the shops, I always make an effort, fantastic advice from you again, keep up the good work!
YES! One of the few advantages of age is knowing what looks good (on me) and what doesn’t. Again, your simple, sensible advice is on the nose, Courtney. Thanks!
That’s the most important thing, no doubt! Thank you so much J.J! ❤️
I enjoyed this! I'm over 40 and love my white sneakers in the Spring and Summer. I also agree that buy the best quality you can. Quality lasts!
Outstanding content. Most people could never appreciate the work she must put in to make such great videos
I feel these tips are good for anyone really wanting a classic look. Age isn't really the factor.
Nice video, Courtney! I love that I can always count on you to mention watches in your videos. Keep it up!

The „dad sneaker“ made me laugh - but you are exactly right Courtney!
I've always loved following and breaking all these rules-depending on how I feel or need.

Another accessory idea: a great pair of frames for your glasses (as old guys we typically need them!). It's a nice way to add some color too.
I am 35 years old and going through a little bit of a fashion transition. I can definitely see myself in a lot of the stuff you listed but I also think I can get away with lighter jeans for a little longer lol

@Mike Tran Huh?
We are men, we don't care about things like that.
@@miguelcustodio2177 I disagree. We do and should. I assume you do as well. Why else would you be watching this video?
Cargo shorts are needed more for hiking and camping
I'll be that 65 year old guy wearing jeans and a Hellraiser t shirt 😋🤣
LOL I'm 50% heavy metal teeshirts and then 50% sensible ☠️😎
All the same, I love your channel and keep up the good work.

Hi Courtney. A little bit depressed for how many times you said the word "old" talking about men in 40s and beyond (joke) but great video! Congrats!

@@CourtneyRyan Don't worry Courtney, as a guy in my early 30s, but with the crankiness and knee problems of someone in his 80s, I'm definitely OLD now :D As far as I'm concerned, 40 is basically dead and if I make it that far it'll be a miracle!
Same impression here! I am 53 and although I agree with your opinions, I felt the video was too heavy in that matter.
David Calaveras Fotografía it’s ok... when she hits 40... she’s gonna call them the new 30s xD.

Love to hear that! 👏🏼👏🏼
same here mate 50 almost here and the young bloods in the gym look, and you feel them get a little hurt !! best feeling ever
“Cool old guy”.....Oh my. Very respectful and empowering ! Nice suggestions, though.
Don't forget the unstructured or unlined jacket...perfect layering for late spring or summer...just a notch above casual.
Agreed 😊
It isn't the grey in my beard that makes me feel old. It's the change in technology, in prices, and that the under 30 crowd seems to have lost its collective mind.
I just love all your tips! As a 40ish year old, I just want to add, that an age appropriate hair style/cut is important. I see "professional" men my age with weird fades and spiking their hair. I will pay $$$ for a great hair cut (since I still have a full head of hair), but I go for a classic cut - like Clooney.
yeah fades are gag on any age but for older guys our age its not great.
The man purse doesn't work for me. I need my stuff on my person.

I think 40 year olds and 50 year olds dress differently.
While none should dress like 20 year olds they don't really look like each other.
What should a fashionably conscious mid 40’s guy wear when their lifestyle doesn’t warrant suits outside of rare special occasions?

Hi Courtney, I will take you to the Court for such a beauty you are.
Boots, jeans, a dress shirt & a tie are always fun.
Pick a gaudy or goofy tie for casual occasions to show that you have a sense of humor; and pick a formal tie when you need to remind others that you're an Old BAMF.
3 things I just can't do: go sockless, wear puffy white shoes, or carry a purse.
