I was wondering the exact same thing. She did amazing and hearing barely any laughs or response from the audience made me feel so bad for her. Then I read the reply under your comment and felt so relieved.
I love that she seems so genuinely wrapped up in the joy of makeovers and all that- like she’s just so delighted to show elphaba everything she knows. Yeah she’s still a little rude and backhanded but she’s also just excited

I saw it two days ago in Brisbane and I was DYING of laughter during this number. Glinda is hilarious here, and I agree with other comments, that they have matured in their roles. They were excellent!

I saw it a few yrs ago and I don’t want to pull everything out to check the cast difference (if there is any) and the girls were good back then but no one will ever beat the original Idina so I was worried about getting tickets but will buy now thanks to your comment…if I can get any so fingers crossed 🤞🏻
Seeing this version of Glinda made me SCREAM multiple times throughout this performance! This might be the best iteration of Glinda I’ve seen so far! At least with the “Popular“ performance
She really is the best. I've seen the other video with every single Glinda and no one is as into it as her. She absolutely captures that excitement of doing a makeover for your friend. The way she looks at her, the way the excited energy invades her singing (and even breathing sometimes), her lovable derpy energy. Yeah, she's the best one.
I saw the show in Melbourne earlier this month and they were both so incredible! This version has got to be my favorite, got autographs from Courtney and Sheridan on my copy of the soundtrack.
I saw this for the first time on Friday night in Brisbane, and I am absolutely obsessed with Courtney Monsma now!! I said to my friend in the intermission that she was born for that role and wondered how others would compare her portrayal to the other Glinda's around the world. I'm so glad everyone else feels as magnetised to her performance as me!!!
Seen this twice now ...Sydney and Melbourne... Courtney is absolutely amazing ... Love her quirkiness and raw talent ... They deserve a better audience .
Just came back from watching this. The cast has definitely matured like fine wine. Courtney Monsma's Glinda can rival even Alli Mauzey's Glinda. Sheridan Adams is rock solid as Elphaba and being a newcomer, she portrays Elpha's vulnerabilities perfectly. This is something you might not get from a seasoned Broadway pro. Everybody was in ecstasy after 'Defying Gravity'!!!

Seeing Courtney perform this with Zoe was one of the funniest things I have ever seen. And this is coming from a jaded 40 something male. Unbelievably talented.
