  • This is a review on the Rode NT1 microphone. I will be unboxing and then providing audio tests and then share my thoughts at the end of the video.
    NT-1 is not offered on Amazon so I put a link to the NT-1A instead

    Great review! this is an incredible microphone, since i have it and i've noticed a huge difference with my past voice recordings with my presonus studio 26c, really clean and well built, nice and elegant color, i just love it!!

      I agree! Before I bought the NT1 I used a Takstar shotgun microphone on top of my camera for all the audio in my videos and the audio quality difference between the Takstar and the NT1 is night and day. Thanks for watching!

    I like the sound of the NT1 quite a lot and I am actually thinking about picking it up. You did a decent enough job of tuning the sound, tho the way it sounds points towards the sound foam on the wall as what caused the betterment. Hope you’re happy with it for a long time!

      It's definitely a great mic for the price, you should absolutely pick one up!
      The sound panels were ordered form amazon and are inexpensive but do a good job of reducing reverb and echo down in the room. I also faced the back of the NT1 toward sound panels that were on the wall a few feet behind the mic to cut back on background noise. Thanks for the kind words and I'm here if you have any questions!

      J. Ezra I have a question. I’ve been using a cheep neewer phantom power. Is it safe?

    • @JEzra-cx7bx

      @@thespicevfx5665 No, I use the 48v phantom power on my Focusrite Scarlett 2i2 to power the NT1

      J. Ezra so should I not use my phantom

      @@thespicevfx5665 Sorry I meant to say that I havent used the neewer phantom power, but I do use the 48v phantom power on my scarlett. The NT1 runs off of phantom power so you need it to properly use the microphone.

    Just ordered in Amazon because of this video. Oh yeah baby!

      Check the description because they might not sell the exact same one that I have on amazon any more, they have a different version now which is basically the same microphone except it has a different pop filter.

    Hi. Can you tell which is best for singing..RODE NT1 or RODE NT1 A?

    • @JEzra-cx7bx
      @JEzra-cx7bx  3 роки тому

      @anithaangel
      From what I can tell they are close in similarity. In my honest opinion you will be perfectly fine with either one. I dont believe the differences are dramatic enough to make a clear winner with either one. Only difference is in price, get the one that suits your budget the best.
      I love my NT1, if you want a definite answer then go with the NT1. I hope this helps! Thanks for reaching out!

    Hi, after going through your great reviews I finally purchased de Rode NT1 kit yesterday...but Rode has change the mount that comes with this kit silently from the SMR to the SM6! So the big selling point for the more expensive NT1 kit compared to the NT1-a kit has gone. So this review is no longer valid for the new (and only) available NT1 kit
    So for me it is not worth it anymore because of the ‘new’ SM6 kit!

    • @JEzra-cx7bx

      Thanks for the update, I'll make sure I change the description so that it states that this is a SMR kit.

    • @Anhidema

      Exactly sm6 is rubbish !. Better to buy NT1 single without anything and build your desired shockmount

      Yeah I think they discontinued it shortly after I made this video. You might be able to find a used one but I think the options they have now are also pretty good. It's a great all around microphone, I use it for the audio on my UA-cam videos and for recording vocals and instruments.

    Does it pick up backround sounds easily?

    • @JEzra-cx7bx
      @JEzra-cx7bx  4 роки тому +1

      Background sound rejection is really good, so far I haven't had any problems with background noise. I have noticed that when the heater is on and flowing through the vents in my house that I can hear it slightly when I'm editing my videos. So I make sure I don't record while a fan or heater is on, my studio is also sound treated so that helps cut down on room reverb and background noise too.
