@Jude Samuel thanks for your reply. I got to the site thru google and I'm trying it out atm. Looks like it's gonna take quite some time so I will reply here later with my results.
This is the finest ever tutorial I have ever seen. Man, you deserve at least 1 million subscribers. Extremely professional review and beautiful commentary, video shoot, background. Love from Pakistan!

Dude, I have one stored in my closet from years ago and now watching this. I'm considering using it again mainly for Zoom calls and Facetime. Thank you for the great review.
This my go-to mic for longer Voice Over gigs. I do recommend ditching the provided Metal Pop-Filter though...it can actually accentuate T, F and S sounds. A Mesh Pop-Filter is both smaller and better at taming those frequencies. Another fun tip...you can actually take apart and flip the internals of the shock mount so the mic can be used upside down. It's a quick hack to give yourself more space in an office or VO booth instead of having the entire mic, shock mount and boom arm in your way. Speaking directly into the mic diaphragm rather than into the body helps tame S sounds as well. Great review!!
Thank you so much for commenting, I really enjoyed reading it! I've noticed the metal pop making a weird 'S' indeed! Great catch. Do you recommend any mesh pop-filters? Also, tell me about your other favorite mics! I will definitely be trying the shock mount flip! (edit: do you have a picture for me? I can't seem to figure it out..) Cheers!
@@felixkruip The Sterling PF2 is the pop filter I've been using for a while now. They're pretty inexpensive and the mesh is very transparent frequency-wise. The Rode NT-1, Sennheiser MK4 and the Sennheiser MKH416 are my workhorses. Believe it or not one of my clients requests the NT-1 over the MKH416 for their ads! They love the smoothness of the Rode. To flip the shock mount you'll need to unscrew the little up/down adjustment screw on the rear of the shock mount all the way. Take it out completely...there is a small pin inside, pop that out too. Now you can access the entire housing. Pulling it apart can pinch your fingers a bit so be careful. Now you can separate the shock mount part from the piece that screws into your boom arm. Flip the shock mount over, reassemble it and BOOM! Now the mic is upside down and the body is out of your way. I have my VO booth set up this way and it makes seeing scripts way easier. Even better, mics that aren't designed for that shock mount will still fit if they have a similar screw-in setup. I modded the stock shock mount ring for my Sennheiser MK4 so it is compatible with the Rode shock mount. I can switch mics in the booth in like 30 seconds without swapping shock mounts. ;) Hope that helped.

Hi Paul! I think RØDE replaced the kit with a different mount and filter. I have come to learn though, that the metal pop filter is also a bit harsh on the 's' sounds, this should be improved with the newer kit. Thanks for clicking on my link.
was thinking about getting the nt1 5th generation usb, but I was a bit hesitant about using it in a untreated room aka my bedroom.
