May I remind you the fact that coastal Northern California used to be the home of most heavily concentrated indigenous Native American population in California, as well as world's most concentrated Red Wood forest with an estimated 2 million acreas of centuries-old rare red wood trees standing tall as lately as 2 centuries ago.
Today, less than one percent of Native Americans population survives and remains in a handful of reservations, while less than 100, 000 acreas of red wood trees survives and remains as the rest were cut down and shipped to coastal cities like San Francisco and Los Angeles.

May I ask if you care to know the fact that indigenous Native Americans, and their population in Continents of America 500 yrs ago was around 15 millions, while European population in Europe was around 25 millions.
Today, Native Americans population is 15 million, while the European population, in the Continents of America + Europe, is a staggering 'TWO BILLIONS'!
For instance, 200 years ago here in the USA, around 3 million Germans came, and now there are 65 millions German-Americans; while 150 years ago, around 2 millions Irish came, and now there are 45 million Irish-Americans. While 500 years ago there were estimated to be 5 to 6 millions indigenous Native Americans in the USA, before Christopher Columbus arrived, today there are only around 2 million indigenous Native Americans survived.
Imagine this scenario, if Native American people cross the Atlantic, invade and Colonize Europe, and slaughter most Europeans, and put the remaining populations in tiny reservations, for 500 long years. How would Europeans feel about it? Think about it.
All they need is their beloved motherland back, the lands that their ancestors' forebears had lived through thick and thin, endured through hardships and all for generations.
Besides, indigenous Native Americans in Colonized lands of Anglo British, Spaniard and others are more of the same. Kill the indigenous Natives and whoever is left, marginalize them and create artificial poverty, once that poverty becomes crime and drinking, the media points to the poor and blames them to continue to stigmatize the 'other' community, scumbags, etc.
Amazing fact that Indigenous Natives had built such great civilizations as Mayan, Inca and Aztec without outside help, and all from scratch, and all on their own, since they had been cut off from the rest of the world for twenty thousand years. In other words, they actually are great and proud people.
Imagine what it would be like today if Native Americans had possessed some sort of nuclear weapons to defend themselves, and their beloved motherlands from invaders Colonizers? The answer is they would still have their own beloved motherlands, plus their population comparable to that of the European population.
In my humble opinion, it's about time to decolonize the Colonized lands, and return it to rightful owners Native American people.
Notorious global cardinal crimes the West has committed, and benefited a great deals, such as Slavery & Colonialism had long been over, why on earth is this another notorious Colonization still lingering on, may I ask? 🤔

    • @thykingdomcome7238
      @thykingdomcome7238 2 роки тому +44

@@ohlordy9680 In California alone there were an estimated half a million (500,000) indigenous Native people inhabited there before Spanish arrived.
Less than 5 % were hunter gatherers while overwhelming majority settled down and along oceans, rivers, creeks, lakes, waterways and grew agricultural stuff for food.
After Spanish and Anglo conquest, after placing them in Rancheria & Reservation, less than 20,000 survived. 😔

These people keep a lot of cash buried on their land. I've heard stories about it. The pay is all in cash and in small bills so they literately have trash bags full of cash buried on their farms... because depositing $100,000 in small bills at the bank will certainly raise suspicion... even if split into $10,000 ten times. For many, they would smuggle the cash across state lines (yes, most of these people are from out of state) then they'd have their family members (sons, daughters, etc) who has a job deposit the money for them so if anyone asks where they got the money, they would say it's from their job. It's hard to be rich by playing by the rules... for one, taxes are too high... not just in the weed business but in everything.

Yeah, because the police and county are making it that way. By constantly busting hmong pot farmers far disproportionatly to their enforcement of other pot farmers, and all over a plant that's otherwise legal in CA, you make it impossible for those growers to commit capital investment or loans to modernize their operations. They can't fix up homes, save money, reinvest profits or do normal American things that other weed farmers in a legalized state can.
Instead of wasting taxpayer money on cops by enforcing this, you could be making tax receipts by legalizing it like every other county in CA. Or maybe it's not a waste because the sheriff's office has already eliminated fentanyl, heroin, cocaine, murders, gangs, and assaults so they have time for this bs... lol

MJ growing was illegal in the county before these growers moved in, and many of them knew that when they purchased the land. There's no evidence that Hmong growers are being targeted more than others; this subdivision is heavily dominated by Hmong illegal pot farms, so they are the ones being visited by the Sheriff. Some are environmental toxic nightmares with unchecked pesticide runoff. If pot growing does become legal in this county, then they will have to comply with a long and expensive environmental permit process, just like everyone else.

Good LUCK getting a legal commercial marijuana growing license anywhere. The percentage of applicants that can't get licences far exceeds the amount that do: this actuality softens your argument due to your attempt to compare legal grow-op revenues and their consequences with how illegal grow-op owners can spend their money. There are illegal grow ops everywhere, if you're getting busted then you aren't paying the cops enough and they probably have a rat. It's a loose argument. Not wrong, just loose.

This doesn’t seem like racism, more like a case of NIMBYism (Not In My Back Yard) and a sense of entitlement on the part of both the established residents, as well as the Hmong. The established community members do not want to see the culture of their small town disappear due to immigration. Theres nothing wrong with that. People live in small towns for reasons and that does not necessarily implicate them of being racist.
Small American towns have a certain charm that disappears once large groups of outsiders move in and displace the older residents. Irrespective of the newcomers’ race or culture, people from small towns like to protect their community because they treat each other with the same manner of respect that they would offer an extended family member. People from small towns don’t like to see change. The water situation complicates things because there is only so much to go around. One large farm should not be using a million gallons a day but its also somewhat unreasonable for a large group of Hmong (or any other group) to move into an area and start making demands of tenured residents. Both sides have to meet in the middle and come to a consensus.
Although there probably is some xenophobia in that small town (like every small town) its not realistic to accuse everyone of being xenophobic / racist. People just love their community and don’t want to see it change.

The answer to the drought problems is CA Governor Gavin Newsom... when he was elected in 2019 CA water reservoirs were full and was estimated to supply CA residents with 5 years of water before levels would hit drought levels, yet it took barely 2 years for CA to have a statewide drought under Newsom's administration.
So if there is to be any complaints, claims, and accusations tried against who caused the CA water supply to be so low for 2021 then make a direct case against Gavin Newsom and his appointed members of The California State Water Resources Control Board because they allowed the reservoirs they control to be emptied to the point of drought levels.
