17.3K sub guy ripping this kind of a solo is the perfect analogy for an underrated budget instrument. That was dope as fuck. Respect.

The Schecter C-1 Platinum is the holy grail of the Diamond series with the active EMG 81 and 85...I bought it new from Guitar Center in Syracuse, N.Y. on an end of the year sale for 400.00 during the Covid era. I see it selling now any where from $599.99 to $799.99... I literally feel like I stole it for $400.00! It's a beast!

There is a tiny mistake in the time stamps, you brought over the brand name from your previous video ((HB), it is not a critic I know you are busy with so many things especially with the new single, what I want to congratulate on again. That is awesome and wish you good luck with everything what you do. ❤

I owned a Solo II standard in the blood burst and an LTD M-200DX in purple burst. The LTD was a better feeling and built guitar to me. They both sounded similar as they had pretty much identical electronics. The neck on the LTD and the frets were better feeling. The Schecter I got just wasn’t comfortable. But, the consistency in these might be more variable as well.

lol when you pick the bridge tenderly, it gives me a strong gnr heavens door vibe.
I’m wondering if this guitar is heavy? I heard about scary weights in schecter guitars, but you seem to hold it rather easily!
Also, looking forward to review of other models of the series, thx!

Yeah I get what you mean, it can definitely do that vibe!
I don't have the guitar here anymore, but I don't remember it being too heavy. I've played quite a few Schecter guitars over the years I've been demoing stuff for them and there was only one that I remember thinking was particularly heavy and that was the Sun Valley Super Shredder model, everything else I've had through hasn't been insanely heavy.

Are these the original strings that came with it, or have they been swapped with a personal preference?
And if they are the originals, are they worth keeping on until they need replacing?

Schecter uses Ernie balls so that’s up to you what you do with them

I understand the appeal of all of these two humbucker, Rock guitars but in all honesty there isn't much difference between them. The new Schecters vs the LTD budget guitars are all going to sound the exact same if you are playing strictly high gain. It's all about taste and small cosmetic and or spec changes when it comes to these. You can slap a set of high gain humbuckers on a mahogany 2x4 and it will sound killer with high gain lol. I'm not a huge fan of the green and purple Burl veneer tops both LTD and Schecter are doing. I feel like it will become dated very quickly. To each their own I suppose but you can get into a Harley Benton or something similar for the same price with better features like SS frets, active pickups etc.

Disagree. I own Yamaha, Schecter, Ibanez, Charvel, and D'Angelico. My favorite playing is bridge humbucker, high gain. They certainly don't sound the same unless the pickups are quite similar (go figure). Some have active humbuckers, and they aren't inherently "better features" than passives as you claim... it's case-by-case. I do believe that with high gain lead, especially effected, that's easier to dial in with hot humbuckers (though there are differences). When it comes to rhythm guitar (not just chug-burping on the lowest string) they can sound quite different. I love my Schecters and HBs, both brands are great value. They're not interchangeable in sound, playability and build quality.

@@davidvest7170 The new Leo Jamz "Hurricane" is a beast super strat and can be bought for 400.00 or less...Also the Fesley FTS 1000 super strat is $400.00 or under. They play and sound like BEAST MODE! I own a Schecter C-1 platinum, a Epiphone Les Paul Custom Pro Mohogany with Koa top, and a Breedlove organic series African Mohogany body and neck with Koa top electric acoustic...I love Koa tops as they look absolutely fantastic with gold hardware...
