One thing that I forgot to mention: Blockbench doesn't support JPG, so make sure your texture file is in the PNG format.
Blender + Blockbech = Great Arts
Many Thanks. I'm new to 3d modeling, I'm making a game with low poly assets for a retro feel and felt like I wasted a ton of time watching blender tutorials for what I need to do. This was the answer I was looking for, thanks again.
I was messing around with blockbench all night after seeing Brandon's video. For what I'm learning and trying to do is a god-send program. Blender is awesome and I already got a little more used to it's controls and UI, but it just has way too many things that I just don't need right now, it felt a little bloated.
Also since blockbench was made from the start with Minecraft models in mind, the texturing and painting feel more intuitive (at least for me, who is just learning the basics of modeling).
Would love to see what else you can do with it on other videos.
This is great. I'm finding the workflow for low poly models in Blender to be particularly daunting. I can't wait to give this program a try.
IMPORTANT: You can also UV project from view an image/texture onto your model by downloading MTools from the Blockbench plugins panel! This can help align your textures onto your model!
Thanks for the helpful video!! 👍
UV projected from view is now a default feature and doesn't require a plugin! Not sure when they added it, but it's there. Cheers!
@@TherronKeen Awesome, thanks!
Awesome that a video inspired you to make your own in your own way! I JUST started understanding Blender lol but everyone else in the comments seem happy with it. Makes me want to give it a try!
Thanks for the simple tutorial, incredibly useful & makes it less scary to try out a new program 🙏🏼🔥
Blockbench is actually awesome, I think I still prefer Blender since it can do so much but if you are new to modelling and just want to do low poly, or you find Blender overwhelming, then Blockbench is a great choice.
Found your channel by accident and my god, it was what am looking for to help me how to recreate PS1 Style. Thank you so much!
Would you consider doing a PS1 character tutorial using Block Bench? It seems easier to get into than Blender
I love to see a video of you useing only block bench to make models for a game and how to export to unity
Awesome, thank you so much!
i love it
hey i love your video and i want to see more about blockbench tutorial
Thanks, I'll definitely consider doing more Blockbench videos in the future
cool video, thanks for the tutorial. But for some reason, everytime I use the "auto-UV" thing, I get extremely small UVs in the coordinates, any reason why this always happens?
Great and Informative video, would be nice if you could make a video making ps1 style characters using blockbench.
Can you export a uv map from blockbench?
I dont have select faces tools
How to use this models in minecraft resourcespacks?
danke
Are you still making blockbench videos ?
I am planning to make another Blockbench video in the future
IN FUCKIN BLENDER, please. Thank you
Why don't you go and check out my blender videos?
need AI, which can auto texture
I'm planning on making a video on this soon :)
