I love how clear and simple you make these video tutorials! Something I would love to learn is how to make pets in Minecraft Bedrock and how to make mobs spawn in certain biomes. I'm blown away by your talent, Kev!
Pets are pretty straight forward since you can copy the config of a preexisting tameable mob for it. Random spawns is a configuration document in your behaviour pack ☺️

Hi, would you be able to make a tutorial on making a custom hostile mob/boss with custom stats, behaviours and attacks and how to export it to bedrock? I’m sorry for the late reply, but blockbench cannot create addons. I recommend using Bridge Core Editor. You can add it to your home screen using safari. It’s easy to use but you need to update your ipad if the OS is outdated.

From my knowledge, that may require another DAW
You could try adding a plane above your block as close as possible (hold ctrl + shift)

Yes, you can.
In bedrock you need to apply a material to your entity from one that could support translucency.
In Java, options are Optifine, or to apply the model asset to e.g. glass.
Items do in most aspects support opacity.
I don't have the specifications off of the top of my head tho 😅

Just revisited this video and was amazed again 👍👍🫡. But I also wanted to ask if you would make more videos on texturing specifically, im beginning to finally create good looking models but my textures are sorta lacking, I started by just using Minecraft’s vanilla textures and adjusting them when needed, but now I’m branching out and trying to make every new model of mine uniquely textured. But it’s really difficult to learn this for someone who doesn’t take art in college as most people who do this are, I wanna learn more about color theory and how it can make or break a blockbench model. I trust only you Kev to teach me.

Super useful stuff!! I have a question tho! Is there a way to create SEAMLESS PATTERNS but for MODELS not for textures. I am thinking for example a lattice with the diagonal lines which you can't really do with the texture

You should try to make a texture pack for bedrock edition on mobile because I use mine on mobile and I don't know how to do it on mobile so I'm bad at texturing
The fastest way to work for Mobile is to port files from PC or Mac to your phone.
Reason being that file management on a phone generally is not all that intuitive when you need to edit files in multiple places.
The resource pack for Bedrock/Pocket Edition requires dependencies (UUID) and your textures, they have different names than java in many cases and more info is found on Bedrock.dev :D

Most of us paint such detail. But since you're asking about ingame - no. The fact that Minecraft has a dynamic shape changing world, it wouldn't work without being a dynamic application.
@@ArtsByKev Thanks for the reply! Though I wasn't talking about Minecraft but gamedev, it's a common practice for mobile and vr games since dynamic engine lightning is usually resource heavy

You'd probably have to check if someone has made a plugin for that (also since that shadow map resolution would have to match the texture on the model.
Most often times we are just used to painting it by hand for whatever level of knowledge can apply - I am afraid ^^'

The behaviour is not made in Blockbench, the software is primarely for the estetic setup

I would love to know how to create seamless textures that still line up if the block has random rotation, such as netherrack! Because they are a PAIN.
The trick is to do the same, but rotate the cubes as you place them in a grid
