Good video, but UV projection from view is a built-in feature in Blockbench, so you don't need the plugin for this step. The built-in implementation also automatically scales the UV correctly, so you don't need to zoom in or out to scale.
Thanks for this tip! I was also using the MTools method and did not know of this. Maybe it wasn't there at the time? (I feel like I would've noticed it.) I'd say the MTools method is still good because of the scaling (some parts need more detail than others) but it's also nice to know that this exists too.
Thank you so much!!! I was loving how simple this program is, but the UV limitations were making me feel like it might not be for me. This solves it!!!
How can somebody make a model in blockbench and then UV unwrap your model, you know make it flat so it can be printed out and made into a 3D papercraft of what you made
Hello~! Its basically to make textures look a lot better~ Having a more cohesive UV maps can make texturing on the texture window a lot easier~ plus, if you have a different texture file that matches the UV map, you would be able to replace it with ease~! I hope this explains it well~
Ah yes~! It is the same as when you are in edit mode~ The button on the lower tight corner of the UV map window shows the UVs in paint mode~ I hope this helps~!
@@artdanpol3d thanks! thats really helpful! Also, thanks for the videos you make, you are a fantastic modeler and you really inspiried me to try new things!
Hi, I have a problem! When I paint my model, it has like green or red spots that are not good painted in the Uv.. Idk how to fix that, like.. I have to paint it all by hand outside the UV, but its a lot of work when is not base color. Do u know how to do? Ty!! (srry for my bad english!
Ah for this problem, before adding any other details, I paint to cover most of the surrounding mesh in the UV window~ I haven't found a way to prevent this except doing all the base colors first before adding the details~ I hope this helps~!

Ahh I didn't realize it~! The UV Project from view is also accessible in just below the texture window~!
