hi BD, thanks for your videos. they are really good. just a gentle reminder that they are viewed by an international audience. you tend to speak quite fast and sometimes it is hard to understand and keep up with you (especially for non american audiences like myself) despite repeated pausing and rewinding. i wanted to copy your A line skirt pattern instructions but after so many attempts trying to understand, i had to give up and try another channel. thanks though and as i said, they are very useful. best regards, Flora
It is not included in the pattern, you need to add it after placing your pattern your fabric with a tailor chalk:)). Except for the one with the zip allowance, it is already included in the pattern
When making your pattern are you drawing the "true measurements" or are you drawing the measurements that have been divided by 4+3.5 cm to the pattern?
Hey! Very helpful videos but you've stopped producing them for the last year. I'd really like to see you take these patterns to the cutting table and go through the process of putting all the pieces together. Or even show us how you take you patterns and draw them out on a plotter for production, now that would be really cool
Hi your video is helpful however there are a couple of things confusing to me. Like why do you need to multiply the measurements by 3.5cm? And could you explain in detail the applying the measurements to the pattern making it is confusing and fast some of the steps. Sorry I am very new to this so please don't take offense.
All in good time Sharifa Nakkazi . The pants basic pattern will be coming soon. We are doing our best to get as many tutorials out as possible. Keep in mind, The Black Diamond crew also work and study so of course we must work around that. Thanks for watching. :)
Thx for your videos, they are difficult yo follow because you talk with such speed. If you want the audience to learn then I would like to request you yo slow down so that we could follow you. I want to make a straight/or A-Line skirt, do not understand your instructions when if comes to cutting the paper with measurements. Please slow down so we could understand what you are instructing us to do. Thank you.

where can you find the roll of paper for patterns?
Also are you using cm for all your measurements?
Is seam allowance built into the pattern's calculations, or do I need to add it myself?
It is not included in the pattern, you need to add it after placing your pattern your fabric with a tailor chalk:)). Except for the one with the zip allowance, it is already included in the pattern

It's a shame the heavy metal is such an annoyance and distraction. Makes it hard to hear you and think at the same time.
