This carry on, and the rest of the collection, launches on Wednesday, June 12! bit.ly/3XbHWHq Please use my link once the site goes live to support the channel. What other products would you like to see Beis make? Let's talk about it!
I was multitasking on my iPad / iPhone / iMorning so I guess YT kicked out of the chat. 😢 Thank you for Brian for hosting! Thank you both for producing these videos!
17x10x9 bag with trolly sleeve, exterior bottle holder, water resistant fabric, 15 inch laptop sleeve. Next generation fabric from the Beis canvas. Under $220. Since you asked.
Just placed my order using your link! Can’t wait to get the small carry on I’ve been wanting a beis product for years but from your previous reviews of their carry ons the sizing never sat well with me as a travel internationally a lot. Thank you!!
Oooo now we need the comparison with the Monos carry-on. 😊 Thank you for all the work you put into these detailed videos, you’ve been super helpful in my decision-making!!
Maybe eventually! I have a ton of new stuff coming out for reviews first. The only thing I can say is that July and monos compression are always better then this set up
Just bought a Navy Quince this size for a 3 week trip to Europe starting Wed. 5 days on land and 16 day fjords cruise. Will use a 20 liter backpack with it. No worries.
Hey Lauren, thanks so much for reviewing this bag! I'm very excited for this bag for my upcoming Europe trip. It's finally the perfect size for Europe, yay! I watched a whole bunch of your other luggage brand reviews and have ultimately decided to buy this bag based on this video review! :)
This is a great review! I wasn't planning on buying the Beis due to the size for international travel, and instead go for the Monos option. But since this is being released, I would love to see your review and comparison between the two! Now I can't decide! Thank you!
Thanks for the great review, I really appreciate you packing the bag to show us what you are able to fit into it. Just a little tip - don’t forget to check the weight allowance for international and domestic flights, if you have a connecting flight within the country to which you are travelling. Sometimes the international weight allowance is more generous.
Finally!! What a great review, Lauren. So happy they finally listened to customers. The only tricky part will be trying to snag one…I’m sure they will sell out quickly with each release 😂. I’ve got my eye on maple
Another great review. I have the regular carry on and I'll say I have a few issues with it. #1, I find the outside little bag holder thingy useless. Every time I try to put something on it, even something small like a little plastic bag with maybe some snacks in it, it comes right off, the thing won't stay attached. The wheels are a big issue for me. They work fine on hardwoods or sidewalks but on carpets, not so much. Even thin hotel hallway carpets I have to really struggle and end up pushing with two hands or laying it on two wheels and pulling it behind me. Keep in mind, I always have a regular sized backpack on the handle and I usually pack that pretty full so the weight on top might be the issue. I've been tempted to try another brand just because I usually drive where I'm going and hotel parking lots tend to be a little far from the entrance. I'm usually so tired with fighting with trying to push/pull the darn thing by the time I get to the room I just want to scream.
I bought a powder blue Beis carry on. Love the inside, packs beautifully, light weight. A great bag However, I’ve used it twice, didn’t need to gate check, and its scratches, and all marked up. I recommend buying it only in a very dark color.
I think I would like it more if there was an expansion option AND have the weight indicator have a 22 lb indicator (perhaps in yellow?) and the 50 lb indicator (in red).
I had no idea they were even coming out with this, thanks for this video!! I bought the medium check-in but not the carry on for the exact reason that you mentioned in that it's too big (I live in Canada). Now I'll finally have a matching set!
Funny, I’ve always wondered how easily others could pack 2 weeks in a carry on, thinking something was wrong with me because I couldn’t. Turns out, I’ve been using the “international size” all along 🤣
@@ItsTheKellys Thanks 😁 It’s more that I was wondering how many items people were fitting in their suitcases and could never fit as much in mine. 😅 Anyways, I’m always looking for tutorials. I used to be a master packer with just one backpack however, I’m now a mom and long flights demand a lot of stuff for kiddos 😁
I'd like to see a packing video in one of these international sized suitcases for two weeks in a cold climate including nicer clothes (by European standards) for special dinners.
Stick to outfits that you can change up tops with bottoms...a carryon should fit a week. 2 weeks you should be doing some laundry or put stuff in the checked bag.
Just ordered this bag and the mini weekender in maple thanks to your videos. I can’t wait to get them. Planning on using them on my upcoming trip to Europe.
Love this review! I had ordered the Béis international carry on in lavender before I saw this video. I have to fly on commuter planes in to larger airports. The size requirements are smaller. I’m so glad I watched you pack! I’m hopeful I can get all my stuff in for a 7 day cruise. I also purchased the Beis convertible mini weekender in boring black! When I used this, I unzipped the bottom, filled it, zipped it up and used it as a packing cube in the bottom of the interior of the bag since the bag needed to be smaller for my airline.
I just want to say thank you so much for all your videos. For the last week. I have literally been binge watching all your content and I love all your travel vlogs and packing videos. You are doing such an amazing job! ❤
There’s no way I could pack what I need in such a tiny space. I bring a lot of items for my special needs/health conditions including massagers/rollers, heating pads, ice packs, sound machine, and lots of food-since I’m allergic to everything. I think I’m going to have to stick to full-sized checked bags!
Hey girl, I started watching you about a month ago because I was on the search for a good international carry on (I have the BÉIS regular carry on which I had to check multiple times *eye roll*) I am THRILLED that you posted this! Super informative! Shout out to beis for sending this to you! Praying for some sponsorships for you ❤
I actually purchased my first carry-on luggage from Beis because of your review! I actually purchased two - one for me and one for my daughter. I love the bag and am excited to see the smaller version. Definitely will consider purchasing one.
Happy I stumbled across your channel, I don't travel much, and I'd never heard of this brand. I like the two roomier pockets will definitely look into Beis thanks I enjoy your content.
My airtags are in bumpers and those bumpers are placed inside pockets with two stitches to keep them in place. Béis will need more than just that gimmick to sell me on another bag!
Love you sharing this bag!! I am headed to 4 countries from US and am worried about carry on bag to travel from Ireland to Scotland. This seems like a winner!! would love any more videos to show how to pack it up!
It should be great! Some are saying it’s “too small” but this size is great for every airline. I may do another packing video with it one day, but it would basically be the same pack as I featured here.
such an informative video with the companion with the standard carry on. I hadn't realised this larger carry on size was rejected at airport sizing. I'm going to go ahead and purchase this small one now thanks to YOU! xx
The disappointment for me is that they are not in the colors of my other beis luggage. I wish they would be consistant with their color offerings in the different pieces. I like thier stuff with wonderful organization, but they need to improve on color offerings.
Observing the base campaigns I’m sure they will come out grey soon. They love to do rollouts with all the brew ha ha and then sell out within minutes. So keep your ears pricked!
Agreed! Does anyone know what color the luggage is at 7:43? I’m wondering if its a discontinued color. Looks a lot more purple than the maple on their website.
Thank you so much for doing this video. I just ordered my first beis luggage the small carry on and after placing order I realized they also have the carry one roller which you mentioned while describing it initially how big it is and how many issues you had and small carry on is better while travelling internationally. I am so relieved I made a good choice I was questioning whether I made a wrong choice of getting small carry on I got it in atlas pink. I am travelling to India and few trips to us n next year 1 trip to Paris. So this is so helpful ! Less anxious now 😂❤
My daughter and I live in Italy and have traveled all over Europe and the UK with the small Beis carryon. We have had not one issue. I have noticed even larger bags on planes and trains. The problem comes in the weight of the bag especially leaving France.
Flights outside the US often have weight restrictions, as well as smaller size limits. For example, many Jetstar flights have a 7kg limit, and that limit is for carry on and personal item together. I don’t have the Beis carry on, but I do have the July Light, which is significantly lighter. But even with the July weight of around 2kg, it’s often too much. I’ve found it’s better to have a lightweight backpack (under 1kg, such as Patagonia Black Hole 32 litre) and a very lightweight sling or small bag.
Just ordered… I’ve been waiting for this size. I’ve been influenced 😅 I can’t wait to get it and hope I love it. I’ll be travelling with a hardshell suitcase for the first time. *fingers crossed
It will be a nice difference having a clamshell hard bag vs a soft one. You will be able to pack evenly on both sides and usually fit more, even if it is smaller than what you’re used ot
Just got it! Shipping was so fast! 🙌🏽 It fits all my stuff!!!!! ✅ And it’s sooooo cute!❤ Been travelling carry-on only since 1999… new to clamshell and very excited.
I’m so glad that you posted this video. Want to buy at the drop but I was concerned they’re listed measurements would be inaccurate as they’ve done in the past
@@ItsTheKellys I bought it, but I’m struggling to decide if this one is too small! It’s only 33L, which is so small compared to other international options to like the monos carry on which is 39.9L, or the July carry on which is 42L. Do you ever have issues with your monos or July carry on being too big? I love all the features and colors of the Beis, but I think I need more space
@meghanrice1832 it all depends on what airlines you are going to fly it with. I fly internationally 100% of the time and you would be surprised how big the 22x14x9 bags look compared to luggage the rest of the world uses. It’s very easy for them to occasionally single out those size bags, when they end up being the largest
I thought you weren’t doing this video! I’m so excited that you are! I am so excited for the review after your trip. I really want to know what you thought after you have used it.
Love your luggage reviews and comparisons. After a week of reasearch I ordered the Monos trunk style luggage this morning but only after deciding against BEIS because I wanted an international size carry on. LOL if I only saw this video earlier. After watching this review I still may order though.
i cannot wait to see your update from your trip 😊 i like the features and dimension. just have been loving the ease and security of my hybrid latching aluminum bag but for weight and portability i might consider this as a second back up international case. its pricey but less pricey than monos or july. Are they ykk zippers? do you find it as scratch resistant and light as your Heys and july bags? and does the retractable bag holder make it tip while you're rolling it? like the maple color! how much is the set of compression cubes and will you be using the Beis personal item or a different bag?
I’ll likely do a full update when I have used it! I don’t find that Beis scratches, or if it scuffs, it’s on the stripes, and comes off easily. I don’t think the zippers are YKK. I haven’t used the bad holder while traveling yet! Not sure on personal item yet for the trip- it depends on all of the other ones I’m trying before then, or maybe I’ll get a new Beis one!
Thank you for the review. I love the beis carryon design but couldn’t bring myself to buy it due to its large size and my petite frame. It is also not accepted on the airlines I travel with. So I am excited for the small carryon and will definitely be purchasing it. 😊
OK, I had to come back and comment a second time. Thank you so much for this review!!! I really wish that they would do the suitcase in the beautiful Sakura pink. Atlas pink has nothing on Sakura pink! I will definitely be purchasing this!!!
That maple bag looks so yummy, I’m really tempted to upgrade. But my old Delsey Chatelet roller bag still has plenty of life left in it, so it will have to do for now. Thanks for a very thorough and insightful review. 😊
@@ItsTheKellys I did not know that! I bought it mostly for its looks, lol. Treated myself in Lisbon 8 years ago when my el cheapo roller bag bit the dust in the middle of our trip.
Thank you for the review! Side note, do you recommend the Beis packing cube? And is the 6pack better or needed more than the 4pack since you never use the large cubes?
Thank you for letting us know BÉIS is coming out with a small carryon and reviewing it for us! ❤. I’m going to get a Beis roller bag and the Beis backpack. I am trying to decide between the beige color and the olive color backpack. I’m tempted to get the beige but I am afraid it will get stained and dirty when it goes under the airplane seat. Do you have any experience with the Beis beige bags with regards to them getting dirty? How do they hold up over time? Thank you for your help!
it depends on which backpack! I have the expandable backpack and its more of a waterproof wipeable material. I've been able to keep it pretty clean. But I'm sure the olive would be better. I'm in love with the olive color, I need something olive soon!
Oh, sorry. I should have specified. I was talking about the travel backpack that has the cross straps on one side to hold in the packing cubes. I think it is the one you said you’ve been using most often as a personal item. Thank you again for your wonderful videos!
That’s so wonderful there’s an international one! Also been curious could the BEIS kid luggage be used as a personal item for domestic and international flights? Would love a review on what you think!
@@ItsTheKellys the kids one could be a carry on though right -- with a separte personal item. also - what are your thoughts on the olive? ithe brown is too dark for me...
I would like to know which airlines you were flying where the original carry on needed to be checked? It would be helpful to know a list where you were successful and where you had to check…thank you!
There aren't any. It is just a "talking point" people bring up without any evidence. No airlines cares about luggage 1 or 2 inches in diameter too big, unless the flight is completely full or it is a small regional plane.
Honestly any international airline. It’s one thing if you book through “delta” or “United” but when it really ends up being a partner like Air France or KLM or Lufthansa, that’s when they get strict. I have a downloadable list (in the description of this video) with all international and domestic requirements for carry on’s and personal items!
IMO see them in person at a brick and mortar store like Nordstrom. Béis makes good bag but sometimes more form than function. (I have the original Weekender and I'm good.)
This was a great review! I was wondering if you have reviewed or been able to see their mini roller? Do you think it would work as an under the seat roller?
Well I live in the US, so for my type of travel it would be both. Some US based airline will allow bigger bags, but if they are actually flown by another airline, you must be aware of their limits. (such as Delta actually being Air France or KLM, or United actually being Lufthansa)
I don’t. I got one recently with my points, but wasn’t sure if I was going to review it. I’ll consider putting it on my list to review! I will tell you that I 100% the sport pack vs the sport sling. It has more room, and is more of a crescent shape vs a harder straight shape, so it can fit other items that aren’t slim.
I am flying with Air Transat in the fall, but I'm finding it really hard to find a good carry-on within it's requirements (20 x 16 x 9). This one comes close, but an inch too tall. Then way too narrow for my liking. Any recommendations??
Usually the dimensions can be off with linear inch allowance. For example, they are allowing 16” of width, but 20” of height. So since it’s 21 x 13, it should be ok. I don’t have any experience with the airline. I know my friend flew them a few times and she certainly did not have a 20” luggage!
I have the Beis front pocket carry on, which is 21.5” x 13.5” x 9. Would this work for international travel or would it be worth it to get the small carry on as well?
When I had it and measured it and used it in international sized bins, it was way too big and not the size that it said on the website. I had to return it. I remember it was over 10” deep when the pocket had a laptop in it.
💗thank you for this! Do you happen to know if this is limited edition, or a new part of their core collection? (I'm excited but hoping for more color options in the future. I love my atlas pink carry on, but want a brighter/less muted pink more like the limited edition berry)
@@ItsTheKellys I hope so too! 💗 I actually can't afford/justify another luggage purchase right now, and I also cannot do reseller prices (like with béis x barbie and berry pink/citron, selling for $500-$1,000 each is kind of crazy). So I hope I get a chance to buy it
If you were to recommend one “carry on” to a friend that travels within the USA and Mexico, would you pick the small carry on or the front pocket carry on?
I'm not usually a fan of front pocket carry ons, as it takes away space from interior packing. Also, if it ends up getting gate checked for whatever reason, you would need to take everything out of the front pocket. To me , it depends on the airlines your friend will be flying. A lot of airlines that go from the US to Mexico are pretty understanding and don't require such a small carry on. They could do this small one, or one thats 22 x 14 x 9 (45 linear inches)
Are the Beige zipper details no longer gold or is only the small carry on the tonal matching? My current Beige carry on, medium and large checkin all have gold detailing. wondering if the small carry on tonal matching is them starting to phase out gold hardware🤔 Edit: looked and saw the glossy Beige also has tonal hardware so maybe they’re phasing out the gold hardware?
When I got the email I was thinking how excited you would be reviewing these - I’m so bummed cuz I literally just bought the level 8 luminous textured 😢
Sadly I am returning these 2 Smaller Carry Ons. 4 reasons : 1 - the wheels are 1/2 inch bigger than my regular sized carry on. This causes the case not to ride smoothly when using 2 wheels (I have a video) …. or maybe it’s me? Im 5’2 so maybe it’s angled too much? 2 - The button on the handle is super small. I have very small hands and found it was not comfortable to push. 3- its 1 inch smaller than my other carry on (Monos) which is compliant on all the airlines I fly. I just dont think I will reach for it 4 - so small it looks almost “kid like”
The front pocket one is still too big for international travel (I did a video about the “real measurements” when it came out. This one is better sized for international travel

Maybe eventually! I have a few winter packing videos already with other luggage of the same size :)

Monos doesn't fit international size requirements...

Just a little tip - don’t forget to check the weight allowance for international and domestic flights, if you have a connecting flight within the country to which you are travelling. Yes sometimes I find they take it too seriously and sometimes I overthink and freak out and they don’t check it at all!

Good to know! I only have been weighed one time in France, and no other times in Europe!
Hi,
Could you compare this bag with July light? Which one you like better?
Also here for July light
Also with the July Light Expandable. I just got the July Light and it is very shallow (about 7 inches).
I did put the size difference on the community page and on IG, hopefully you guys saw it! 🩷
Just found out about the small carry-on and came straight here for a review thank you!
You are so welcome!
Great video!!! Which do you prefer, this one or the Monos carryon? Thanks!!!
Not sure yet! I’ll have to travel with it. The compression on monos will always be best.
I’m so glad that you posted this video. Want to buy at the drop but I was concerned they’re listed measurements would be inaccurate as they’ve done in the past
Right? I was so thrilled to measure it
@@ItsTheKellys I bought it, but I’m struggling to decide if this one is too small!
Ooooooh would love to see you compare international carry ons now that there's this one to consider!
I showed its size difference compared to a few others in the community page this week! I’m sure it will be in my top luggage video this year :)
I thought you weren’t doing this video! I’m so excited that you are!
I am so excited for the review after your trip. I really want to know what you thought after you have used it.
Omg finally! I would’ve loved to have had this when I went to Japan, so I guess I’ll have to have a do-over trip! 😝
I'll come with!!
Love your luggage reviews and comparisons. After a week of reasearch I ordered the Monos trunk style luggage this morning but only after deciding against BEIS because I wanted an international size carry on. LOL if I only saw this video earlier. After watching this review I still may order though.
Thank you this video was very informative.
i cannot wait to see your update from your trip 😊 i like the features and dimension. just have been loving the ease and security of my hybrid latching aluminum bag but for weight and portability i might consider this as a second back up international case. its pricey but less pricey than monos or july.
I’m so excited! I hope they make it in slate!!
For the packing cubes, did you just use the two small cubes? Or one large and one small? I need to know lol
I got mine yesterday and am thrilled! I’ve been practice-packing all day. 😅
Yay! Where are you taking it for it's first trip?!
Thanks for another awesome review.
My pleasure!
Thank you for the review. I love the beis carryon design but couldn’t bring myself to buy it due to its large size and my petite frame. It is also not accepted on the airlines I travel with. So I am excited for the small carryon and will definitely be purchasing it. 😊
It’s meant for you! 🩷
OK, I had to come back and comment a second time. Thank you so much for this review!!! I really wish that they would do the suitcase in the beautiful Sakura pink. Atlas pink has nothing on Sakura pink! I will definitely be purchasing this!!!
I know! So many people love Sakura pink! 🩷🩷🩷🩷🩷🩷 I can’t wait to update you in August
Purchased! Thanks for the link!
I used the regular carry on twice internationally and wasn’t stopped. How does this measure up to the away carry on!
That maple bag looks so yummy, I’m really tempted to upgrade. But my old Delsey Chatelet roller bag still has plenty of life left in it, so it will have to do for now. Thanks for a very thorough and insightful review. 😊
I’m very interested in that bag because it’s the only one you can’t bust through the zipper!
They aren't my favorite, but they do seem to hold a lot! And yes, the 4 pack would be perfectly fine!
The zip suitcase queen is back
Can’t wait to order the Maple color!
So happy to see this!! Yay!
Such Exciting news! Can’t wait to get one!
Yay! What color are you thinking?!
@@ItsTheKellys can’t decide between the pink one or beige. Most likely the beige one with the beige mini weekender.
That’s so wonderful there’s an international one! Also been curious could the BEIS kid luggage be used as a personal item for domestic and international flights? Would love a review on what you think!
I kind of wondered about the kid one in the past too but the colors were too much for me lol
It’s too big for a personal item on any flight.
@@ItsTheKellys the kids one could be a carry on though right -- with a separte personal item. also - what are your thoughts on the olive? ithe brown is too dark for me...
Ive been missing you.Great video!!
Thank you!
Your content is great!
I saw they were advertising a new one and wondered if that’s what it was gonna be. I don’t have any beis luggage luggage
It’s too big for under the seat. Unfortunately it’s still a carry on.
Are these more for traveling from country to country within Europe or going from the US to Europe?
Well I live in the US, so for my type of travel it would be both. Some US based airline will allow bigger bags, but if they are actually flown by another airline, you must be aware of their limits. (such as Delta actually being Air France or KLM, or United actually being Lufthansa)
Do you have a video reviewing the beis sports sling? I’m trying to look, but I can’t find one.
No grey to match my other pieces? Oh no, I was going to buy it until you mentioned the colors! So sad!
Do you know if other size BEIS luggage has the air tag pocket inside or is it just the small carry on size that has it?
My original does not, because I bought it many years ago (2021) but perhaps they have it now? I’m not too sure.
Thank you dear for taking us along. Can't wait what the mamacoo queen picked up at Fendi
@ItsTheKellys Can you link the racks you use to display your luggage in your Amazon or somewhere? You have inspired me to display my bags as well!
Sure! They are in the amazon store, but here's the link! amzn.to/4bZWD4S Show me when you've displayed them!
@@ItsTheKellys Will do!
This was such a great detailed video. Definitely sold me on the small carry on🤍
I’m so happy I could help! ♥️
💗thank you for this!
Do you happen to know if this is limited edition, or a new part of their core collection?
(I'm excited but hoping for more color options in the future. I love my atlas pink carry on, but want a brighter/less muted pink more like the limited edition berry)
I’m hoping part of their core collection! But I’m not sure
@@ItsTheKellys I hope so too! 💗 I actually can't afford/justify another luggage purchase right now, and I also cannot do reseller prices (like with béis x barbie and berry pink/citron, selling for $500-$1,000 each is kind of crazy).
So I hope I get a chance to buy it
What is the liter capacity…did I miss that part? I’d guess it’s about 34 liters 🤔 if not, less than 34 maybe. Enjoyed the video 😊
Honestly the website isn’t live yet and they didn’t give me that information. Hopefully it will be up soon so we can know. I’m guessing 36-39
I don't need it... but I will be buying it anyway haha. Thanks for another great review!
Haha right?!
Hello, thank you for your reviews, do you have a coupon code with Beis?
Unfortunately I do not
How is the trolley handle? Is it sturdy?
Feels typical to me! Sturdy enough to not get stuck, but not flimsy.
Are the Beige zipper details no longer gold or is only the small carry on the tonal matching? My current Beige carry on, medium and large checkin all have gold detailing. wondering if the small carry on tonal matching is them starting to phase out gold hardware🤔
Edit: looked and saw the glossy Beige also has tonal hardware so maybe they’re phasing out the gold hardware?
Good catch! I didn’t even notice that!
When I got the email I was thinking how excited you would be reviewing these - I’m so bummed cuz I literally just bought the level 8 luminous textured 😢
It’s ok. That one works well for international too!
Sadly I am returning these 2 Smaller Carry Ons. 4 reasons :
1 - the wheels are 1/2 inch bigger than my regular sized carry on.
I just dont think I will reach for it
4 - so small it looks almost “kid like”
Thanks for your feedback :)
Great video! Do we know what price it will be?
It’s in the video 🩵 I think it was 218
If you absolutely HAD to choose between monos carry on or this beis carry on, which would you choose?
Monos has better compression, but this one is smaller if I need it for a certain flight!
I’m sorry if it was mentioned how much does it weigh out of the box?
Do you like it better than Quince 20in expandable?
I’ll have to see after I travel with it. The quince has been FABULOUS
Is the new small carry-on the comparable in size to the front-pocket carry on?
The front pocket one is still too big for international travel (I did a video about the “real measurements” when it came out. This one is better sized for international travel
@@ItsTheKellys Gotcha! Thank you :)
I have been waiting!
You and me both!
