This thinking is just right, and the Monsanto kind of thinking is just wrong, wrong, wrong. Go, Joel!

@50:15 If we had more people growing and raising their own food, those jeans could develop holes the way God intended.

Do you folks know that the Central American country of El Salvador has band Roundup.
It's a start for others to follow.
In Columbia, South America, Monsanto is trying to capture all the genetic material from their agricultural base. Soon farmers who for centuries have saved seed will no longer be able to without paying Monsanto a royalties.
There is an assault by Monsanto, it's subsidiaries and similar around the world to become the direct owners of everything that grows.
    Thanks Joel, God Bless.

18;48 and I'm lighting up the stands ready to bring in the cheer leaders, except that I'm a 40 something practial small acre farmer too... Here it is, for all the suburban teenagers who are unhappy and facing drug regimens and whatever. Yeah, I have the scars on my forearms too. But here's the connection with the natural world that will embrace you and offer a glimpse of the possible, productive future. And you don't have to own it. Start out by volunteering as an intern. Reconnect.

So appreciate all Joel has done to help bring a lot of issues to America's attention. But- the function of those high-tech fences was once done by herders. Ever hear of 'Little Boy Blue'? Or Peter the goatherd in 'Heidi'? Or see copies of old paintings of 'The Goose Girl'? Shepherds w/herding & guardian dogs still move with the herds in the American West. And deer DO look different in different regions, yes, within the same species. Lawns were pasture, usually w/trees aka 'savvanah'.

Life and machines most notable difference is self propagation, healing would be second to that.
