  • The man, the myth, the legend Ryan Hughes makes his second appearance on the podcast. We talk the philosophy of Dirtbikes, Losing his father and being paralysed multiple times. We spend a lot of time talking about life in the episode but there is some great Supercross and Motocross chat sprinkled in.
His first time on the show he really did change the game for us. It was the first of our remote studio episodes and it exploded the podcast into a completely new realm. This time we sat face to face in the studio in Costa Mesa to run our podcast clock together to over 6 hours.

Ryan is such an inspiration to everyone. He's a breath of fresh air when it comes to how we live.hes so smart the way he can figure out how to do things in a better and a more logical way.everyone just walks around like robots just doing what they think there supposed to do.ryan needs to make a TV show or something to get people to see and hear what he's been thru and his message.and his way of thinking

The energy with this podcast was so different then it usually is. You can tell Ryno calmed Jase down and the bro down was much less and the conversation was much more authentic and real. Great job man. Keep this energy for future podcasts it was so much more enjoyable to listen to.

On the Industry Roof Top lounge of the Coliseum SMX a couple of weeks ago; I'm walking along and see Ryan and Grant Langston standing a foot apart and having a warm and friendly conversation. Living and working in L.A. I bump into Celebs & VIP's frequently, and always avoid bothering them, simply cuz I know they are probably constantly bothered and I prefer to let them have some peace and quiet. However, seeing these two great Legends of the sport I love, I could not help but walk up to them and they both graciously turned and looked at me as receptive as any human can be to a stranger. I simply smiled and pointed at the both of them, implying You two together is Pure Synergy! They smiled and I went about my business to let them be...

Said it once i’ll say it again. Ryno lived in an ultimate ego field and was a badass there…and then went full yogi/shaman/experienced a spiritual awakening and has become a super badass in that awareness and wisdom. 🙌🏻 Love Ryno.

My son races now (which brings on so many more internal thoughts and emotions) and wants me to race again but I can't filter my thoughts to say yes or no. I passionately want to race but I don't know if I can risk putting my family in that situation again. 😢 I need guidance.

Another great one Jase, Ryno has certainly had an interesting life/time with many ups and downs. He appears to be a great teacher with much wisdom to pass on. The only negative is him Dissing Chris Cooksey, a man on journey himself and one of a few telling us all how Moto really is. Keep up the fantastic work Jase and team, feel blessed to have met you at smx here in the U.K. wishing you all the very best.

Ryno, I appreciate your life wisdom. And not a fan of podcasts or people that are negative and gossiping... It's one thing to bring awareness with solutions... but to tear people down... that says more negative things to me about the people talkin $hit than the people living their life... I quit sugar & drinking alcohol years ago... puff the herb and eat clean, exercise, vitamins & supplements, stretch, work out, cardio, prayer/meditation... and cut the negative people and things from your life... I'm on that path and you bring value to my life listening to your interviews and hearing your outlook... same for Jase. As for $hit talkers... tune them out! Keep on doing you Ryno! Love you for you bro! Hope you liked samples I sent Noah & you earlier in year. When I finish building this big house by myself in St Pete Beach FL area to air b&b, I can have fun with SunreaL by summer 2024... I'm on my own path solo with no worries though... Thanks for sharing yourself.

ok one more thing, once upon a time I was in a three day racing clinic with Freddie Spencer he used the same, almost to letter explaining weight and force dynamics like Ryan, the hips Freddie compared it to skiing bumps. (skiing is an ancient athletic art form from the past performed on snow) Freestyle downhill mogul skiing is a perfect example of having to let go to gain control and beautiful to watch. Seeing the movement in the lower half of the body contrasted with the laser focus stare down the hill over the terrain whoops you have to not only jump but turn across to control your speed, that is way over simplified but still the best parallel out there the Freddie learned while skiing in Italy go figure

It’s nice to see a top rider talk about things like this. For some reason this sport is “saturated” with conservatives. Not saying Ryno isn’t, but at least he’s open to evolving. Growing. Actually giving a crap about your fellow neighbor, your body, mind, and soul. If this sport wants to grow, it’s gotta break away from a “hick” only sport. Not trying to be prejudice whatsoever. But it’s all about marketing and reaching a different group of people. Ryno has some incredible insight not just on riding but so many different facets to life. I find his “words of wisdom” to apply to several different areas of life.

I love Ryans perspective to the amount of protection riders use. It is logical that all those protections create rigidity, change you skeletal structure whilst riding. As a sometime coach of MX racers I am extremely interested. Gypsy Tales is always a very well thought out in its topic and expressed in a passionate way. It is wonderful to see people we enjoying the same as you in this regards.
To Ryans thought on Eli coming back better, what is he going to do differently to find those 1%s that matter at this elite level.
My idea is fly me to the USA I will work with Eli and Chase and get them on Jett,s arse in 3 weeks consistently.
Then it might take a few more weeks to beat him but put them in the show with a good chance, would be a cool challenge.
No results no fee, just pay my accommodation, aifares and hive me some pocket money to travel in America and I am there with the biggest tool box for racing you ever going to see.
It has been built upon intensely over a 47 year period and is itching to make a huge difference.
Thus is not a joke either, food for thought, Yamaha and KTM bosses or even AMA, let me fast track your best riders up to a new consistency and speed 🤔
If nothing changes, then nothing changes and you get more of the same. 100% money back guarantee is what I offer based on my previous results helping riders in a variety of elite results, ending in 1-2-3 Australia in their respective disciplines.
Lets make American MX racers great again 🤠🎈✌🏼

Enjoyed a lot of the podcast. I don't mean to be a hater but I can't keep my mouth shut on this. Ryno saying "there is nothing special about Eli Tomac" is just utter craziness/foolishness. He has so many special moments and abilities it would take too long to list. He has good lines choice, he has a lot of creative prejumps to get over obstacles, his speed on outsides passing people is insane, how he can punish a bike and handle the power as well as bulldog through rough track, drop a minute on the field, the list can go on and on. Ryno should take a second look at that or admit there is some sort of personal issue or where this major laps in judgment came from. Stating one of the best to ever do it hs "nothing special" beyond work ethic is insane. There are some other hypocritical moments and out there/incomplete thoughts as well. Overall a lot of good thoughts, just shocked by that and would want to understand the claim or watch tape of the ridiculous things Eli has done on a bike and see what the response would be afterwards.

Wasn’t Eli one of his former pupils too? I was surprised by this take or we are both misinterpreting what he was saying.

You're in the matrix still with this stupid comment. Quit being a girl and following internet drama. Ryno would kick eveyones ass in here on the track and in a fist fight. You blue pilled men learn nothing from him. Unplug from social media and external validation thats the key concept its not difficult to understand.

Someone probably should have just left it alone instead of acting like they don't remember who said what especially when they are trying to show off the dong root to a young lady who was not down with that

Ryan It's inappropriate for anyone to expose themselves around children. There are places designated for adults if they choose that kind of behavior. I'm disappointed in you Ryan; this behavior seems driven by arrogance and ego. Reality will bite when the one niche he enjoys popularity in discards him.
