I’ll never forget the race he pushed his bike on the last lap. That day I became a fan. Recently rediscovering this sport and seeing his videos reignited something inside and for that and him I am grateful.

Athlete, Champion, Free spirit, Gifted teacher, Philosopher, Healer. Ryan just told us the secret of a life well lived. Don't limit your definition of what success will be, don't fight against life... flow with it, come to grips with the nature of becoming, don't become attached to ghosts that aren't there anymore, embrace the natural world because you are of the natural world, and take care of your body. If we had half the men and boys in our countries being trained and brought up with this wisdom we would take the World to a better place.

As someone with a disability, stuck in a rut with no hope with chronic headaches/migraines all day everyday 24/7 since I was 15, 29 now. Tried everything, been to countless doctors, was put on pain meds until they got scary and came off those. The only thing that eases and numbs the pain for a little bit is the adrenaline of being on my bike, it's clairvoyant. You're truly an inspiration dude and make to want not give up. You're awesome brother. Hope all is well.

I remember Ryan pushing that 125 at Steel City but I also remember when he was riding the new CRF 450 -- think he was riding the pre-production bike in the Nats. Horrible crash at Steel City on a big step down right in front of where we were spectating. One of those crashes that just sticks with you just witnessing it. Glad to see Ryno still chipping away -- lots of good lessons here and happy to see you doing well.

I was on the fence right in front of him when he had that crash on the crf450. He hit the ground so hard that you could feel it in the earth. Anyone who seen that crash couldn’t help but to feel heartbroken for him. Dudes a beast though. No doubt he would come back from it🤙🏻

I've lost my other half after we broke up... def will not be easy to deal with. Hopefully one day I´ll allow myself to get away from the dark hole and meet new people again and be happy as we all were when we were just a bunch of kids riding.
Motorcycling has always been my escape and it´s the only thing that keeps me moving.
Motorcycles and your inspiration now! All the best for you Sir Hughes.

Thanks Ryan, your comment from another video about life being an adventure really helped switch my perspective. I having been saying for years that there are times life is like a motocross track. We don't get mad at the bumps, well...some tracks are sketchy but that works for life analogy too. I've had a long term illness that I'm finally recovering from and while I have had this illness I had to raise three teens and ....anyway I desperately needed a new perspective and ...wa la I get it, as you probably have said, you have to be vulnerable enough to hear a good idea, taking off the ego and angry guy ear muffs..lol I've been playing with cold water and Wim Holf breathing for a while, I have to step up my game soon to get an ice chest cooler.

The perceptions you shared ad the end of the video were really enlightening and appreciated. I think a lot of what your talking about and not wanting, really comes down to acceptance, accepting the situation your in at that moment and being present living in the moment great advice brother really appreciate you and your mind set!!!!! Rip on brother. Think at times your passion has been confused with being cocky. Your passion and intensity is awesome to watch once again appreciate you and your advice Ryan Hughes for president
Totally off the subject but these guys wearing neck braces trail riding and woods racing is ridiculous and Im seeing so many young kids riding ruined/hindered by neck braces I'm was one of the few people seen this years ago watching kids ride at local races and so frustrated watching these kids not even be able to look ahead through a corner because they can't even turn their head. So when you came out with your perception on it I felt so vindicated because I've argued with parents about this for years
The only reasoning I was ever given was so and so wears one look how fast he is. So thank you for being you and scared to stir the pot or speak your mind. YOUR THE MAN RYAN HUGHES

I agree with a lot of what Ryan is saying at the same time now for some people reality just sucks you know he got to ride dirt bikes and feel this amazing thing so he’s going to be a little more satisfied with life somebody like me I have wanted to ride a dirt bike more than anything I wanted to throw a whip on a dirtbike since I was 14 years old I’m 50 now and I still don’t know what that sensation is like it’s a thing I wanted to know more than anything in my life but I’ve never been given the opportunity and don’t think for one second that I haven’t worked my ass off to try and put myself in a position to own a bike to be able to have that experience unfortunately my life has never taken that route I’ve never been given the opportunity and I pretty much fucking hate life because of it the only thing I’ve ever wanted was to be able to ride a dirt bike and I’ve never been able to so my outlook on this world is a little different than his my attitude is kind of like fuck it who gives a shit

Dude if you want to ride, go to a mx track and ask someone if you can ride their bike. Mx has people who will let you ride guaranteed. So it's on you my friend. Your negative attitude will get you no where. Man up, and chase your dreams. Stop feeling sorry for yourself, or you will continue to suck at life. All the best.
