    This is the final, (somewhat) finished version of the Pulp Fiction scene I displayed a little while ago. Try to ignore the obvious clipping on some things (Scout's bag, demo's chin, etc.), and the bloom at the start which I could do nothing about really bar turning it off.
    I didn't really change much in the starting scene apart from more emotion in the demo's face, but you can probably see I got better at some things later on in the clip. It's taken me long enough to go through the film step by step to replicate the little details, and when I was finished I didn't feel like going back and fixing up the start, so sorry for that.
    The map was made in Hammer, Valve's level editor, so the scene is somewhat similar to that of the film, although not exactly because of differing proportions and I was going entirely off of visuals. I couldn't find a decent door model that would open in one of the ending scenes, which is why the medic seems to appear from nowhere.
    This final version took about 3 hours to render (because it only seemed to want to compile off of a single core), and approximately a week (working week, 5 days) to make.
    Anyways, enjoy.

    Well, there's not really any problem mentioning suggestions. It doesn't necessarily change anything, but it allows me to take it on board in case I do anything else along these lines. If I were to do another scene from Pulp Fiction which involved the same guns I can make them pistols rather than revolvers.
    Also, @xXxMartin96xXx, I think the spy does fit the character, given who Marvin is.

    If you right click on the character in the item list for that scene you can rig it with the TF2 rig, which links all the bones up and makes some move with others. All you have to do is select each time section and move each bone you want into place. The tutorial videos do explain it, and much better than I can anyway.

  • @Worldsweaver

    The interesting thing is that there are a lot of links between pulp fiction and TF2, such as the briefcase. In TF2, the briefcase's contents are never disclosed and are constantly sought after to get to the other side, in the movie, it's the same way except when it is opened, there's a golden glow. This could also be connected to Australium, used in the briefcases in some matches in TF2. Australium has a golden glow and is highly prized. Another connection is when the Fox Force Five, among other relations to the team, the demolitions experts on both sides share ethnicity and the spies/seducturs are both French.

    • @Worldsweaver
      @Worldsweaver 10 років тому

      You could be correct, but TF2 does have a lot of references in it (to other Valve games and the media in general).
