It's bcuz you have to put the gear lightly against the face of the gear with the right RPM. If you lightly have your foot applying throttle while in neutral and look at RPMs and then try to memorize the sound along lightly moving the stick, you'll never grind. It should be really really soft without needing to shift quick. Be really calm and just move the shifter like you don't want to move and while applying throttle the truck will accept the gear.

It’s a working truck. It’s gonna get scratched up, dents. It SUCKS but hey man you work it and the typa work you do with it shits gonna happen. We have few dents and scratches on a few of our nice trucks. Like the lowboy truck I drive every once and a while if it has a job, that truck has scratches and dents on it. Very badass custom truck. Boss got real mad at that but hey it’ll happen. It’s got the heavy duty Diamond plate fenders on it for extra protection. Suits it’s look which I real like. Sucks a lot man but it will happen. You’re suppose to turn the key without starting and leave it turned for about 5-7 seconds so the glow plugs can heat up then crank it. Unless you got some other issue.

Quick question bro why you air out the back when dumpin, I personally use rock haul end up all the time but have never done that just lock up the trailer and let the truck move?
When you're unloading a frameless end dump do you set just the trailer brakes or just the tractor brakes? looks like you let the walk with the trailer brakes set.
If it’s stable ground I set the trailers brakes. But on dirt we’re I see the trailer start to tilt to one side I let the tractor brakes on and the trailer move instead

I always let the key turned for couple seconds, it has always been this way since I bought the truck.

I have to completely remove it because once I forgot to take them off and went forward, bent the upper part.
