10) This is a clever one, I like seeing danger personified. Too bad fire is apparently terrifying. At least he has the common courtesy to warn us he's dangerous. 9) Little kids telling me I'm going to kill them is never not creepy. Poor kid... That splat at the end is nasty, too. Kill your speed, or kill a kid! 8) This one proves that Nothing is Scarier is a hell of a thing. "Oh God, we killed them all" is gonna stick with you for a while. 7) This one's so effective they used it over in the States. You really feel the impact when she says "ten feet". Kill your speed, everyone! It is kinda funny to watch that kid ragdoll, though. 6) God, this one sets the mood early. And it's just a guy ominously eating candy! Please stop killing the babies. Please. I'm begging you, creepy old man. 5) Hey viewer, this child-harming idiot is you! Look how betrayed that kid looks. Still not as good as the Tidyman. Praise the Tidyman! 4) How did they manage to make babies terrifying? They're *just babies*. Leave those kids alone, man. 3) This PIF is aggressively 1980's, and way scarier than it needs to be. It's no wonder ignorance about HIV was so rife with PIFs like this. Don't catch AIDS, everyone, or the demonic shrieking hellbeasts will get you! 2) Once again, this shows how creepy kids are, as well as showing that Nothing is Scarier. It's just a hospital crumbling to ruin, but you expect the letters to spell out HELL or something. Jesus H. Christ, this *did not* need to be this creepy. Get it away! 1) Thanks, Germany, we needed a gross tentacle penis molesting someone as they grow up over time. Urgh. I wanna puke.
I have a very morbid addiction to creepy PSAs here in the U.S. but ours don't even compare to what guys watch. The fear and intensity levels are such a rush! More importantly, your comments are hilarious!!!
To easportsbig899 I agree with you saying number 10 is scary, I find it terrifying espiecially when he says "be careful when you're around me" then his eyes widen and then he says "I just can't help myself"
Honestly, this was the first time I haven't been scared by any. A lot are eerie rather than downright terrifying. #9 is a personal favourite, I've been wondering when you'd finally feature it - I have always loved the very sudden and blunt "You're going to kill me!". #1 has never really creeped me out either; I think it's a little too... rushed? The constant camera movement and the lighting is all a bit too normal and almost reassuring, it just doesn't have the hard edge of terror I'd expect. Oh and as always you're the absolute best.
Have my theory about spooky kids. They get spooky when they act or say things you'd expect from an adult. It's some sort of uncanny valley thing. About the music in 15:12, it's a tritone between the bass and the string on top. It's said to be the tensest interval you can produce in western music, and it's the oldest trick in the book. Too heavy handed to be taken seriously IMO. I prefer the next one's sound design; those electronic bits (synthesized screams?) that play throughout are among the most disturbing things I've ever heard. And that last one... jeez. I wouldn't say scary though, it's rather revulsive. And really sad. In my book, nothing beats the one with the guy who keeps seeing the body of the redhead kid he ran over. Brrrr.
OK I can deal with that AIDS PIF without the sound - I'm glad you picked up on what scared me about it - that fucking awful sound and the wind-chimes, freaked me out big time!
Well Kee Lo I don't know if you know this but they have a sinister sister add to this called STAY. It was part of the 1988 A.I.D.S campaign. Where a creepy woman has a dinner for a man in her apartment trying to seduce him.I have seen many eerie PIFS in my time but it scared me more than any other. Both adverts are in the National Film Archives/British Film Institute. This AIDS advert shown above the Nightclub one was filmed by the famous director Nicholas Roeg. Why did 70-80's PIFS have to be so bloody sinister???
Hi, Yeah that was the one which scared me the most, and probably scarred me the most too. Those annoying strings and that horrible synthetic sound, ugh it was disgusting!
Those babies in number 4 were the cutest things ever though. She's got her apple and he's just like "this is my best friend. I just met her but this is my best friend."
@@ijustwantsushi1252 Babies aren't born seeing race, their parents teach them this crap. It's a problem with all races. If we just saw each other as people and judged by actions, not skin color or nationality, the world would be a much better place.
About the one with the girl saying you're going to kill me, although I agree with cars not speeding should not the girl be paying attention to the road? She was not even glancing left and right.
Number 9 is disturbing. Just what the kid is saying makes me uneasy. Number 6 also makes me very uncomfortable Number 1 is the worst though......that's sickening
10. A Bit 9. You're Going To Kill Me 8. Why 7. Not That Scary 6. I Don't Get It 5. That Ain't Scary At All 4. That Bit Racist But It's A Bit Creepy 3. You Fancy Coming Back To My Place Then Its A Like A Horror 2. Haunting, Messed Up, Disturbing, Wrong, Medium Terror Scary And Chilling 1. Effective And Penis Snake Is Closely Graphical Object.
Oh No, Not The Ormond Hospital Ad, Anything But The Great Ormond Hospital Ad. Plus I'm 17, And I Swear In My Snakes, Trains, And Digimon Nightmare Sandiramon Will Sing That Song While Takato And Guilmon Have Fun With His Friends!
What is the one with the creepy music box and kids singing la la la? That is all kinds of creepy. I love and collect music boxes, but I'd throw that thing out of my house. Eep!! You've slowed it down *grabs her bear*.
It's a PIF for Great Ormond Street Hospital. The creepy child singing plays over footage of the letters on the hospital's sign falling away until only "SOS" remains.
+Max Bennie It's "Oh God, we killed them all." The original version of that hymn goes, "The Lord God made them all." It's a takeoff on the original lyrics. Pretty disturbing.
The whole message at the end of the babies one. Instead of listing ways people can help it just says not to buy South African products? Wouldn't that result in damaging the economy, causing a recession and the poorest in the country are the ones who suffer the most?I could be wrong about that but I do think there are better ways of helping in a positive way. If it listed the facts then mentioned a charity that people could pledge to to try and make a difference. Or something positive to make a difference.
I think what would make them scary is if you'd been sat watching telly late in the evening in a comfortable chair or something and eventually dozed off and left it on, then you wake up suddenly and one of these PIFs is on. I dunno
The makeup on "Fire" looks amazing!!!

"La-la la-la laaaaaaa laaaaa~..." You just know that's what a psychopath hears in their head right before they snap and murder someone.
I have a very morbid addiction to creepy PSAs here in the U.S. but ours don't even compare to what guys watch. The fear and intensity levels are such a rush! More importantly, your comments are hilarious!!!
Whoever did the makeup in the Fire Safety PIF deserves a friggin' award.
Yes, I do agree, I will give them points for that.
Time bring out the popcorn! I love these countdowns! :)

Hooray, Top 10s to supplement my weekend! :D Always an adventure.
Nice use of the DOE tagline in number 8 as well. ^-^

Oh god, you killed my eardrums.
OK I can deal with that AIDS PIF without the sound - I'm glad you picked up on what scared me about it - that fucking awful sound and the wind-chimes, freaked me out big time!

Hi,
Yeah that was the one which scared me the most, and probably scarred me the most too. Those annoying strings and that horrible synthetic sound, ugh it was disgusting!
02:02 this head reminds me of that hot sauce guy from spongebob
+Daniel Hogan I agree. I know somebody who's MEGA afraid of that....she wouldn't sit through this.
+Daniel Hogan I agree. I know somebody who's MEGA afraid of that....she wouldn't sit through this.
I died at the Troll 2 clip lmao

Those babies in number 4 were the cutest things ever though. She's got her apple and he's just like "this is my best friend. I just met her but this is my best friend."

About the one with the girl saying you're going to kill me, although I agree with cars not speeding should not the girl be paying attention to the road? She was not even glancing left and right.
that is strange that she didn't cross right
+Daniel Hogan Yes.
The Tuc Public information film was rated U? What is it with the rating system?
Probably because the BBFC are lenient towards public information films, hence all the U ratings.
You are right.
wait on 5, did that bottle fall on her or something? i couldn't tell
Yeah, the bottle fell on her, but it's not filmed very well.
+easportsbig899 it confused me lol.
I’m watching this at night. Who needs sleep anyway? :/
Your intro could be the many different ways to kill the Think! bartender guy from the PIF you hated....
Number 9 is disturbing. Just what the kid is saying makes me uneasy.
Number 6 also makes me very uncomfortable
Number 1 is the worst though......that's sickening
Could somebody tell me what Dunkelziffer is?
Eleanor Hogan a German company that is against child abuse
#10 I don't get scared all I see is a life form of fire who is stuck with fact that people get Brunt around him
+Asa Fisher Fire just wants a hug! D: Poor Fire...

Is it just me, or does the uk feature creepy African pifs?
I didn't really get number 5. What happened to the girl?
A glass bottle fell on her, although it's not filmed very well.
+easportsbig899 maybe because it was too violent to show.
02:57 its the drivers fault
5:19
Is 8. saying "Oh God, we killed them all" or "All gone, we killed them all". The latter is easier to take seriously.
+Max Bennie It's "Oh God, we killed them all." The original version of that hymn goes, "The Lord God made them all." It's a takeoff on the original lyrics. Pretty disturbing.
+Max Bennie Gave me the creeps. But if "All gone, we killed them all" would be the line, I too would laugh.
bluegrassbaby86 Mira Thelamppost Yes, I know what it comes from. And I suppose it actually does sound disturbing when you think about it.
Max Bennie
Yeah.
Hospital for sick children? As opposed to one for healthy children?
