Dont forget that driving in the overworld just for funsies without doing missions will result in messages encouraging you to visit the shop and buy stuff. That is just the icing on a very, very, VERY greedy cake

Sad, because this game looks fun.
I was hyped for this game, then came all the season pass, pre order bonus, micro transactions and DLC BS
Well, I'm reserving my disappointment until I see what the base version looks like. If they give you enough for a fully priced game then the MTX will feel more like an add on

The lego bits of this trailer look absolutely spot on and really fun. It does feel to me however that the racing itself is kinda slow? Which would make for a very bad feeling racing game no matter how nice looking. I hope it's just the way the trailer has been cut and feels different in the actual game. Can't wait to relive the old lego racers nostalgia again

You never actually have to, it’s a currency, that’s used to buy currency.
At least it's not NBA 2K where they charge you $70 for the game, and then expect you to pay hundreds of dollars just to maybe get players that you want.

There are already. The graphics is not good. And it's strange. Usually lego games looks good on switch.
I guess, it's not only the gameplay you should out for, also the content.
The Switch Version is the only without Crossplay. I suspect on Switch the game will lack content compared to the other Versions.

Their early work was a little too new wave for my taste. But when Lego Batman 2: DC Super Heroes came out in '12, I think they really came into their own, commercially and artistically. The whole game has a clear, crisp gameplay, and a new sheen of consummate professionalism that really gives the levels and cutscenes a big boost. They’ve been compared to traditional licensed, but I think the Lego games has a far more bitter, cynical sense of humor.

I wouldnt say the gameplay is good, more like the gameplay is okay. The microtransactions arent this games only problem. It would probably get less hate if it was 20-30 bucks instead of 60 (or just free to play)

They did two big mistakes. A: Microtransactions really impacted the game terribly. B: There Release Date and marketing got crushed by Tears of the Kingdom.
Steam has like 110 Reviews, less then 50 percent are positive. The game seemed to have high ambitions and everyone was talking about it before ToTK. Only like a hundred reviews after 2 days is pretty low and the negative reviews drags it down even further. Sad, but honestly deserved for pulling off such a greedy move.
