Featuring a score by lead composer Nobuaki Kaneko, as well as Robin Atkin Downes reprising his role from the previous titles in the series as Travis Touchdown. Original series lead character designer Yusuke Kozaki is back as well!!
Also featuring boss characters designed by Masanori Ushiki, with Kenichiro Mizuno taking on design duties for the character of Damon.

Suda51 has said in an interview if he were to do a NMH3, he'd want Travis and allies to go up against a massive, galactic styled villain like in a marvel movie.

I still think it's possible. The fact that Suda51 is just popping up in random livestreams & "accidentally" showing footage of the game (Devolver Digital's Suda easter egg is the best because you can't see it anymore since they uploaded an edited version without NMH3 gameplay & only Suda) tells me that right now he's just having fun messing with his fans.

The concept artists deserve to be put in the hall of fame. Not a single design is a bad one.
Masanori Ushiki is the one responsible for designing the aliens who are the bosses in the game. It's in the description of the video.

What's amazing about this trailer is that it feels like a troll/a fakeout, but no, this is legit backstory for the game and is a follow-up to plot threads set up in Travis Strikes Again. Suda is a mad genius.

@@TheFantasticJoe Also, I'm not sure these are the same character. While they are both CEOs they don't look very similar and the TSA Damon supposedly has dark hair while NMH3 Damon's hair is brown. Also TSA Damon is a sociopath who beat Dr Juvenile until she was unconscious just so he could steal her death ball yet NMH3 Damon was angry when Fu killed the innocent civilians.

I love how Damon politely gives all of Fu’s friends a “Nice to meet you everyone” even after learning that they’re all from a space prison home to people who did things that were just as bad as killing an entire planet’s population.
I guess he wants to believe anyone who's friends with Fu must be okay....but how did he just casually dismiss Fu confessing to having murdered the neighboring planet? 🤔🙄

They're flawed but tremendously fun. A lot of ideas were half baked but what they got right they knocked it out of the park. Combat was very satisfying and the over the top non-sensical plot made it sweeter.

I'd like to point out that Fu is satirization of the cute mascot character like E.T. or Elmo. You know him as a kid, and he's cute and everything. However, much like with childhood friends irl, you grow apart and no longer know them anymore. He's like that old associate that suddenly contacts you after a decade to ask for some cash and tries to crash at your place to hide from the cops.

That dose sound like a good title
It's just like the trailer for the first No More Heroes, it tricks you into thinking it's something completely different. The first NMH trailer started off with Helter Skelter looking like the protagonist and being aloof like some kind of poor man's Devil May Cry, before Travis comes in and turns everything on its head. I love when an homage is done in a way that's actually subtle like that.

@@ProlificPianist We don't know that yet. Many scenes can look that way Suda51 loves to mix different styles and he was able to get a decent budget this time.

God this game will be my personal GOTY if Zelda Breath of the Wild 2 isn´t coming. That Killer 7 vibe. That mindfuck. Characters and Storytelling excellent as expected from Suda. Sylvias voice made me sceptical and indeed it is NMH3.

A tiny detail- and sorry if this has already been noted by another commenter- that I adore: at 3:40; when Fu beams that amicable expression towards Damon, his eyes ostensibly appear to close. But a single eye- his top left out of the quartet- remains half open and fixated on Damon. It's not particularly hard to notice (the camera even halts to bask in the moment), but I still really like that how the animators conveyed Fu's subtle malice and/or inquisitiveness.

At first I thought this was leading to a small title akin to a boy and his blob.
Instead I got a manchild and his beam katana and I couldn't be happier.

I’ve noticed in my second viewing it’s all 3D animated, it’s just that the aliens have more colors and effects.

The people who animated this, had nothing to do with the in-game assets used for the cut-scene following it, the choice to have aliens and humans visually distinct is clear within the animated portion.
Adult Fu really has some style and charisma.
His movements sort of have a weight and significance to them, too.
I really like how they did this.

The backstory is actually pretty realistic. How many of you have met up with their childhood friends only for them to have turned out to be a dick like Fu? It will be interesting to see Travis's character to be thrown into the mix. Hyped for this! Can't wait for 2021

I wish it was an actual game, it's such a good title
Such a subtle switch but the camera angle is narrow with black borders on the sides to represent the past, like a VHS video tape or a small screen television. At 2:49 the screen transitions to the present day with Damon grown as an adult. The camera angle is wide screen like a modern film that we can see today. The black borders are on the top and bottom. It's a subtle transition, but it shows how much attention to detail the story telling is going to have.

The series kinda does what Watchmen did: Make the all the superpowered characters morally ambiguous cretins. Though, that’s not exactly a unique quality when it comes to other Grasshopper titles. XD

considering that a lot of people from SUDA stoped developing NMH to help with super smash bros brawl,that be the most earned smash position ever.

Vincent Partlow hey, all Bayo does is make constant innuendoes and use literal torture devices in combat. It’s basically a kids series for babies. Travis is clearly way too violent, and plus, they almost never add sword users to Smash.

Meanwhile, you can gather enough from this to say that Fu and his alien buddies are the same ones attacking in the teaser, and now Travis has outright said that it's Galactic Superhero Rankings this time, so you're gonna be fighting those alien "superheroes" like the Assassins in the previous games.

This is one of my favorite video game trailers. The Ghibli like animation at the start, the character design, the music, It's all amazing. I keep coming back to this trailer. By now I've watched it on atleast 10 seperate occasions since the first time it was released.

Just wanted to point out how Damen sounded so happy to see Fu again, and then realized how the planet is totally screwed
It's kinda heartbreaking really, to think that Damen has spent more then half his life to see his best friend again, only to learn that said friend has become a genocidal maniac and it's partially is fault for helping him back when they were kids.

The beginning tricked me... I was not expecting NMH3 to go to this route... I was expecting to be another human “assignation” group with a side of quirky creatures in it. I did expect aliens and thanos-like creatures to be in this third game, and yet, I wasn’t expecting the main antagonist to have a backstory or the new Rank system will be SUPER Heroes this time around.
A spin-off on Switch ties into this.
Should've played Travis Strikes Again, straight up tells you you'll be fighting aliens in 3.
